Chapter 40 Renovation, Oil Tanks, Water Towers, Swimming Pools

Sun Yu took Li Ke directly to her studio for dinner. Sun Yu's studio was located in an old residential area, renting the third floor of an old building.

There is no elevator. The area is about 100 square meters. There are four or five staff members inside. Sun Yu has a separate office, which is not large. The two of them sat in this office, ate lunch, and then discussed the renovation work.

Li Ke didn't know much about home renovation. Even though she searched for some information online, it was all fragmented and not very helpful.

She reiterated her initial requirements and then said to Sun Yu, "In addition to these, I also hope that all the houses are well insulated and that the best soundproofing and insulation materials are used. Large items such as wardrobes and beds need to be sturdy and durable, and comfortable enough. As for equipment such as refrigerators, air conditioners, and underfloor heating, we need to purchase the best and most practical ones. I can reimburse all expenses."

Sun Yu and Li Ke had already discussed the basic interior design of the apartment. When she heard Li Ke's requirements, she nodded directly and said, "No problem, these are all expected. Does Mr. Chu have any other requirements? If not, I'll have someone calculate the approximate initial costs, and you'll also need to pay a deposit. We'll reimburse you for the later costs of furniture, appliances, and other facilities by submitting the purchase invoices."

Li Ke had already visited the mobile prefabricated house production site and the model house through Sun Yu's video call, and he didn't have any further requirements in this regard.

Upon hearing Sun Yu's words, Li Ke raised the most important question: "How long will it take to complete all these renovations? I don't have much time, and I require it to be completed as soon as possible. Under this premise, I can accept any additional costs incurred."

Sun Yu asked, "How long does Mr. Chu want the property to be ready for handover?"

Li Ke: "Including the time from handing over the construction site to completing the decoration, I hope it can be completed within a month."

Sun Yu: "In that case, the labor cost will be tripled. I'll have someone calculate the cost, and then you can confirm it, Mr. Chu."

Li Ke: "Okay, please do it as soon as possible."

Li Yu took the draft plan they had just come up with and went outside. She and an employee worked together on calculations, while Li Ke sat alone and drank tea for a while.

About half an hour later, Sun Yu walked in and sat next to Li Ke, saying, "Our current estimated cost is 5.7 million. It usually goes up to a certain extent, but the final cost should not exceed 9 million. Any expensive decorations later on will be charged separately. But please rest assured, Mr. Chu, I will supervise the entire process to ensure quality and quantity, and I will definitely meet your requirements."

"How much is the deposit?" Li Ke asked.

Sun Yu: "Five million."

Li Ke: "Three million, or in gold."

Sun Yu thought for a moment and said, "Okay."

Li Ke paid the deposit, received the receipt written by Sun Yu, and glanced at the time on the wall: 1:50 PM.

Li Ke then took a taxi to the oil tank factory and ordered fifty surface oil storage tanks with a capacity of thirty tons each, and fifty ten-ton tanks, for a total cost of 1.22 million yuan.

Li Ke still gave 500 grams of gold bars as a deposit, and the oil tank factory would deliver all the goods to the warehouse a week later.

Li Ke then went to the water tank factory. Five or more fifty-ton water tanks cost 98,000 yuan each. Li Ke wanted to order fifty, and the unit price was discounted to 92,000 yuan each. Li Ke also ordered fifty thirty-ton water tanks at 68,000 yuan each, one hundred ten-ton water tanks at 3,500 yuan each, and five hundred one-ton water tanks at 260 yuan each.

When the sales manager heard that Li Ke wanted to order fifty water towers with a capacity of fifty tons each, his eyes lit up as he looked at Li Ke. When he saw Li Ke read out the order number again, the manager was overjoyed. This was no small order.

After Li Ke finished speaking, the manager took the calculator and pressed a few keys, calculating the total price to be 8.48 million.

Li Ke noticed the water park swimming pool on the order form and asked, "Are you still doing this project?"

Seeing the customer's interest, the manager quickly replied, "Yes, yes, the dimensions are below. The largest size we currently mass-produce is 20 meters by 50 meters, and 1.5 meters high. If you have other size requirements, we can also customize it."

Li Ke looked at the dimensions and calculated that this swimming pool could hold nearly 1,500 tons of water. The price was 52,000 yuan per piece, so he had to buy it.

Li Ke ordered fifty of the largest sizes, negotiating the unit price to 45,000 yuan. Twenty units of 20 meters by 30 meters were priced at 29,000 yuan each, twenty units of 20 meters by 20 meters were priced at 20,000 yuan each, twenty units of 10 meters by 20 meters were priced at 11,000 yuan each, and fifty units of 10 meters by 10 meters were priced at 6,000 yuan each.

The manager noted down the quantities and calculated the prices, finally adding them up to a total of 3.75 million.

The manager added, "Boss, since you've bought so much, I'll also throw in two sets of pool support ladders, a water circulation system, a pool bottom vacuum cleaner, and some other accessories, all worth 50,000 yuan."

When Li Ke heard that there were still these items, he realized that two sets wouldn't be enough, so he asked the manager to get a quote. He then placed an order for another fifty sets, at a price of 18,000 yuan per set, for a total of 900,000 yuan.

Li Ke gave them her warehouse address and asked them to assemble the swimming pool directly after it was delivered to the warehouse. She had just seen a picture of the actual pool, and there were so many of them; she wasn't going to do it herself—it would be a waste of time and a lot of suffering.

The manager frowned and said, "It's possible, but I'm afraid we don't have that much space?"

Li Ke thought for a moment and said, "It's okay, we can deliver them in batches and finish them within a week."
