Chapter 77 Decision

The moment she got into the car, a new idea suddenly popped into Li Ke's mind. Although she had been confined to the castle to recuperate these past few days, her mind had been constantly thinking about how to use this sum of money.

Li Ke hasn't had time to take stock of the enormous wealth he collected in the space yet. Even without taking stock, just by immersing his consciousness in the space and trying to estimate it several times, Li Ke still can't figure out the exact value of this wealth.

It was indeed far too enormous. Compared to all the wealth that Li Ke found together with the initial search team and the later pioneering group after the apocalypse, it was less than one or two tenths of its total wealth.

Compared to this, the treasures of Qingshan Temple seem like a pile of tiny scraps.

Moreover, Li Ke found some family crests on many of the boxes, but these crests had a very Japanese style, which made Li Ke even more convinced of the existence of this treasure and that Tanaka and other Japanese people must have been involved.

Zhuang Weifeng has been having so much fun with that group of teenagers lately that they've forgotten all about returning home.

Li Ke's original plan was to contact two people today: one was a middleman she had found and recruited on the dark web, and the other was a local person she found on the dark web who bought and sold dark web accounts.

Her original plan was to finish these two things and then return to the castle to wait for the others to go home.

But sitting in the car at this moment, Li Ke suddenly made a decision: why should she wait for them to return to China together?

Staying in the castle means not only having to be careful, but also worrying about being targeted by Zhuang Yihao and his group again, or revealing some weakness, or that they might rather kill the innocent than let the guilty go free.

She also has to be on guard against Zhuang Weifeng, that beast in human form. If she can't help herself and commits a crime here, and loses control of the situation, it won't be easy for her to return to China. Besides, she doesn't have time to waste on such things right now.

With enough resources and absolute strength, Li Ke will have plenty of time to crush them later; he can afford to wait.

In those post-apocalyptic years, the reason she, an ordinary person, was able to survive for so long at the bottom of society was because she knew when to hide and when to run away; otherwise, she would have died long ago. Of course, luck also played a significant role.

Previously, Li Ke had been limiting herself. She had decided to finish these two things today, and regardless of success or failure, she would take a plane and leave directly, returning to her own country first, and then make further plans.

Once back on his own territory, Li Ke would no longer worry too much and could then focus entirely on replenishing his supplies and equipment.

Upon arriving at their destination, the driver parked the car and was about to get out with Li Ke when Li Ke said directly, "You don't need to come with me. I just want to wander around by myself and buy some things that girls need. You can go do your own thing. If I'm done shopping and want to go back, I'll call you."

The driver listened attentively to Li Ke's words, then politely asked, "Miss, are you sure you want to do this? I'm worried that you might have some communication difficulties if you're alone."

Li Ke took out a translator from her handbag and laughed, "It's okay, I have this, and I'm used to being alone."

Once he was sure Li Ke didn't want anyone to accompany her, the driver didn't say anything more. He simply got out of the car politely and opened the door for Li Ke, saying, "I hope you enjoy your shopping, Miss. If you encounter any problems, please feel free to contact me immediately. I'll be happy to assist you."

Li Ke thanked him and then walked into the shopping mall building.

After entering the shopping mall, Li Ke browsed around for a while, visiting several women's goods stores and buying some items that suited her needs. During the process, she communicated smoothly with the staff using a translation device, without any major obstacles. In one store, the staff even spoke fluent Chinese, making Li Ke's shopping experience very pleasant.

Around 11 a.m., Li Ke found a very nice Chinese restaurant for lunch. After ordering, Li Ke asked the waiter for directions to the restroom and then headed towards it.

After entering the bathroom, Li Ke immediately locked the door, then sat on the toilet and took out her laptop from her storage space to contact the person she had found on the dark web who sold the account.

The other party told her that an account would have 100,000 M coins, and that the account would need to be recharged with 200,000 M coins, with the account's usage period being one year.

Li Ke directly told the other party that he needed two accounts and that the price was not a problem.

After agreeing to make the transaction nearby, Li Ke asked the other party to book a room at a nearby hotel first, and she would bring the money to his room later to transfer the account.

Next, Li Ke contacted the middleman she had recruited on the dark web, telling him that she wanted to meet him in the vicinity in two hours to discuss a business deal, and asked him to come over first.

Because of the language barrier, Li Ke first translated all his requirements into English in his online space and printed them out, making two sets of scripts for the two of them.

Her requirements were clear and unambiguous. If this communication still failed, Li Ke would choose to give up directly and then spend more money to find a suitable person in the future.

After doing all that, Li Ke put away his laptop, washed his hands, and left the restroom.

Not long after she sat back down, the waiter brought over her food. The taste was slightly different from what she had in China, but it was still quite good.

Li Ke received a greeting message from the driver on her phone. She immediately took a picture of the food in front of her and sent it to him, replying that this place was very nice and that she had been enjoying herself so far.
