Chapter 4: Video Negotiation

"I'm sorry..." Xu Jingzhe whispered, looking at the moon outside the window, "Mengbao, rumors are just rumors after all, don't feel sad because of them."

Yu Qingmeng lowered her eyes and nodded gently. After a long moment, she looked up at Xu Jingzhe and asked, "Why... did you come tonight? Is it because of what they said... so..."

"No!" Xu Jingzhe interrupted excitedly, "It's because... I like Mengbao, so..."

"I'm sick, and I'll feel better only if I get close to Mengbao..." Xu Jingzhe said, his voice gradually getting lower. He lay down and entangled Yu Qingmeng's hair with his fingers.

The room fell silent, and the two seemed to understand each other's feelings even without any explanation.

His breathing gradually deepened and his temperature rose again. Yu Qingmeng looked at him, moved her hands to his waist, and hid in his arms.

Yu Qingmeng replied softly: "Me too"

A faint light flashed in Xu Jingzhe's eyes, and then he slowly smiled. He hugged the person in his arms tightly, lowered his head, and sniffed the unique scent of Yu Qingmeng.

It was cold but fragile at the same time, a strange smell that was hard to describe, but Xu Jingzhe liked it surprisingly.

If possible, he thought, he would propose to Yu Qingmeng to be together forever, but this was the only important decision in his life, and it would seem a bit frivolous to say it like this when they were meeting for the first time.

"Mengbao..." Xu Jingzhe murmured in a low voice.

Yu Qingmeng didn't know why he liked to call her like that. It seemed like when they first met, he also wanted to call her that. Was it because it seemed more intimate?

Thinking about this, the two gradually fell asleep in the thick night.

After getting up and washing up, Yu Qingmeng walked out of the bathroom. There were still water droplets on her hair and her eyes were a little blurry, as if she had not yet fully woken up from her dream.

Xu Jingzhe leaned on the pillow, gently rubbing his temples, and the wide collar of his clothes revealed his inner beauty.

Xu Jingzhe said "Oh" softly, got up from the bed, straightened his clothes, and walked straight towards Yu Qingmeng. He wiped the water droplets on Yu Qingmeng's hair and said softly: "I'll go back to the room to wash up, and I'll pick you up to go to the meeting room when it's time."

Time flies like an arrow. Yu Qingmeng stays in the room reading books to pass the boring morning light.

Yu Qingmeng closed the book in her hand, stood up, walked to the door, and opened it completely.

She hesitated for a while, but finally asked, "What if... I didn't persuade the boss to let you join, what would you do to us?"

Xu Jingzhe didn't think about it and answered directly: "Let you go back to Scorpion Tail. After all, we are all inferior people. Why should we make things difficult for each other? What do you think, Mengbao?"

Yu Qingmeng nodded, took the breakfast handed to her by Xu Jingzhe, and ate it in small bites while following him to the meeting room.

I came to the basement where I was imprisoned yesterday, walked through the long corridor, and came to the door at the end.

A Lie's face was filled with worry, his eyes were bruised. He held his phone in his hand with a headache, sighing repeatedly: "The food reserves in the base can only last until tomorrow at best. What should I do if I get rejected again this time?"

"There will always be a way." Xu Jingzhe pulled out a chair and let Yu Qingmeng sit down.

"Hey?" A Lie put away his phone, and even though he looked haggard, he still smiled and greeted Yu Qingmeng warmly, "Captain, how was your rest last night? Our place is small, so if there's anything wrong, please bear with me."

Xu Jingzhe sat down next to Yu Qingmeng and teased, "When did you learn to use these flowery words?"

"After all, Scorpion Tail is the largest organization of the lower class. If you want to get in, you have to have some knowledge," Ali said, patting his chest confidently.

"Thank you for the treat. I had a good rest last night. I will definitely work hard today!" Yu Qingmeng said, and her hand subconsciously pinched the hem of her skirt.

Ali took out an old laptop from the cabinet, pulled a chair over to sit next to Yu Qingmeng, and turned on the computer.

Ali operated on the computer for a while, turned the screen to Yu Qingmeng, and pressed the mouse with a nervous heart.

The screen showed that it was connecting, and it took half a minute for the other party to connect.

Yu Ze was wearing a silver-white suit, supporting his chin with one hand, revealing the dark red watch on his wrist. He raised his eyes slightly, and there was oppression on his handsome face.

He glanced at A Lie and Xu Jingzhe, and finally stopped his gaze on Yu Qingmeng.

"Qingmeng, are you okay?" Yu Ze's voice was cold, and there was no concern in his tone.

"It's okay" means agreement, "not bad" means consideration, and silence means disagreement.
