"That's great, we can just take it down now. How should we do it? Should I go back to the basket and we take it down, or should we just cut the branch off?" Mingxiu asked Kangxi with great interest.

Kangxi glanced at Mingxiu.

Mingxiu understood the meaning perfectly and nodded: "I understand. I'll go get the basket now and take it down."

After Mingxiu finished speaking, she turned around and left, leaving Kangxi watching from the side.

Mingxiu returned shortly after. After bringing it back, Mingxiu stood obediently to the side. She didn't have the patience to remove it, and besides, it was too prickly.

After waiting for a while, Mingxiu went to pick fruit herself. Her fruit garden in Yonghe Palace is still there. When the fruit ripens, it is picked by the servants and then distributed by the Empress so that it won't spoil.

Mingxiu rarely lives in the palace now and doesn't eat much, but the food doesn't spoil, so she doesn't worry about it. However, things are different in the space. The flow rate in the space is normal, and if some fruits or things inside aren't picked, they will really spoil and fall to the ground to become nutrients.

Mingxiu sometimes felt really sorry for them, but even the two of them couldn't finish all the fruit, and it was inconvenient to take it out. So Mingxiu could only make all the fruit into fruit wine, candied fruit, or dried fruit. She would preserve it as much as possible, and if there was really no other way, she could only watch it spoil.

While Kangxi was picking tea leaves, Mingxiu had already picked some fruit and washed it. Once Kangxi finished, the two of them could go out.

The fruits inside the space, perhaps due to the region and water quality, taste and are more nutritious than those outside. Mingxiu also enjoys eating them, as they are of much better quality than those grown in Yonghe Palace.
