"Are you really not angry anymore?" Mingxiu looked at Kangxi with some suspicion.

Kangxi pinched Mingxiu's nose helplessly until she couldn't breathe before he started to speak.

"I'm really not angry anymore. When have I ever been so petty?"

Mingxiu had finally managed to wrest her nose back from Kangxi's grasp, but upon hearing his words, she just wanted to roll her eyes. What did he mean by being so petty? He'd always been this petty! But then she thought about how unsafe she was; what if Kangxi pinched her nose again? She could only obediently nod.

"Yes, yes, you're not petty. If you weren't angry, why did you ignore me just now?" Mingxiu asked, somewhat suspiciously.

Kangxi raised his chin, just in time for Mingxiu to turn her head. Mingxiu followed Kangxi's gesture and turned around, only to see some surveillance videos on Kangxi's computer screen, which she didn't know where they came from.

Mingxiu was startled: "Oh my, where did this come from?" After looking around for a while, Mingxiu felt that this place was very familiar.

"This is the film set where you've spent a long time today," Kangxi said, noticing Mingxiu's blank expression.

"Ah, but how did you get the crew's recordings? And why are you looking at this?" Mingxiu asked, confused.

"Look here," Kangxi said, pulling the screen forward.

Mingxiu saw a person wearing a hat and mask in the picture, taking pictures of a female celebrity with a mobile phone. There was nothing strange about it.

"Is there anything strange about this? It's just someone taking pictures of this girl," Mingxiu asked directly.

Seeing Mingxiu's puzzled look, Kangxi said, "Something's not right. This man doesn't seem right to me, and he's really only taking pictures of this one girl."

"You feel something's off? Isn't this normal? Maybe it's a sasaeng fan or something. If they only like one person, they'll just take pictures of that person." Mingxiu still couldn't figure it out.

As Kangxi watched the scene on the screen, he felt that something was wrong, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

"Alright, alright, stop looking. If you keep looking, I'll get jealous, and once I'm jealous, you can't appease me," Mingxiu said, waving her hand at Kangxi.

Kangxi withdrew his gaze and looked at Mingxiu with amusement: "Alright then, we really can't let my wife get angry, otherwise it won't be good if we can't appease her."

Mingxiu gave Kangxi a disgruntled look.

The two spent a pleasant evening together. The next day, Mingxiu packed up and went back. Kangxi would be filming there for a while longer, but Mingxiu couldn't go back to school.

Time flies, and before we know it, our junior year is almost over. By senior year, everyone will be going out for internships.

Today was the day Mingxiu and Kangxi were preparing to meet each other's parents, and Mingxiu nervously pinched her clothes.

Unexpectedly, the wedding we talked about two years ago has been delayed until now due to various problems.

"Let's go, they're waiting inside. If they say anything unpleasant or anything you don't want to hear, just say it back. I'll take care of everything," Kangxi said, holding something in one hand and pulling Mingxiu's hand in the other.

Mingxiu nodded.

The two entered the hotel, which was actually a private kitchen decorated in an antique style. There were people parking their cars at the entrance, and Kangxi parked his car there, and someone naturally parked it properly.

Kangxi walked up to a private room called Mengzhuxuan and knocked on the door before entering.

Inside sat a man and a woman. The man was a foreigner with brown hair, bright blue eyes, and fair skin. Mingxiu didn't know anything else, but she was certain that this young man was about the same age as the two of them.

Mingxiu swallowed hard. Wow, this is a relationship between an older woman and a younger man!

Then, Mingxiu turned her gaze to the woman sitting next to the man. She had long, black, wavy hair, bright red lips, and wore an exquisite black dress that accentuated her beautiful figure. She exuded a mature woman's charm. However, Mingxiu wondered if it was just her imagination, but she felt that the expressions of the two people sitting inside were strange.

The person inside changed their expression instantly when they saw the door open.

"Oh my, this must be Mingxiu, right? She's so pretty. Come and sit down." Lin Lin stood up, grabbed Mingxiu's arm, and pulled her to a chair.

Mingxiu sat down in response.

"Are you hungry? Do you want to eat something first? I just ordered a few dishes. See if there's anything else you'd like to eat, feel free to add it," Lin Lin said with a grin.

The once glamorous woman now appeared kind and approachable.

"Thank you, Auntie," Mingxiu said obediently.

Kangxi sat silently to the side, glancing at the man next to Lin Lin before quietly looking at the items on the menu and quickly selecting several dishes that Mingxiu liked.

Then she didn't say much throughout the whole time, just listened to Mingxiu and Lin Lin talking. When she left, Mingxiu had received a lot of gifts and went home with a full load.

After seeing Mingxiu and Kangxi leave, Lin Lin's smile vanished instantly. He turned to the young man standing behind him and said, "Mike, you've crossed the line. From today onwards, we shouldn't contact each other anymore. The money will be transferred to your card."

"No, darling, you have to believe me, I really didn't mean it. I just wanted to see what your son looked like. I was just jealous of the child you had with someone else. Really, darling, please don't be angry." Mike explained nervously, his bright blue eyes filled with panic.
