New book is open: "Qing Dynasty Transmigration: Fourth Master's Beloved Consort", welcoming new and old friends to follow.
Before transmigration, Lin Mengyao was a leftover woman ...
Lanqin went to Wuxiha's room and saw that she had already taken off her clothes and gotten into bed.
Lanqin knew long ago that her eldest daughter was someone who could eat and sleep well no matter what happened; her second daughter was the exact opposite, as cautious as the fourth master, and very quiet and easy to manage, but she was a little too reserved.
Lanqin had to treat her two very different daughters differently. Knowing that Wuxiha was still awake, she sat down on the edge of her bed and said, "Get up and talk to your mother."
Sure enough, Ushiha turned over and saw his mother sitting on the edge of the bed. He said, "Did Bechuk tell you a lot? I've already told her everything. Asking again will only bring up the same things."
Ushiha naturally understood that he must not tell anyone that he had been alone with a strange man in Lotus Dock for so long, so he could only insist that he was lost.
“Ushiha, you can tell your mother anything, and your mother won’t blame you. But you must tell your mother the truth. Your mother will not blame you for any truth, but if you lie, your mother will consider sending you back to the palace so that your grandmother can teach you a lesson.” Lanqin said deliberately with a stern face.
"No, I don't want to go to the palace!" Ushiha exclaimed in alarm, immediately sitting up in a cold sweat.
"Then tell your mother the truth, what exactly did you do at the Prince Chun's residence?" Lanqin looked at Wuxiha gently, feeling a bit like how her mother used to force her to show her her own diary.
Ushiha sighed and said, "Mother, then I'll tell you. I ran into that person again at Prince Chun's Lotus Pavilion, the one who appeared on the day of Namin's wedding. The one who hit me with a stone."
Looking at her eldest daughter, Lanqin asked, "Didn't you hate him? How come you were with him? I heard from Biechuke that your maid went to Lotus Pier to look for you, but she didn't see you there."
Ushiha then briefly recounted to Lanqin how he and Suhari met in Lotus Dock, how they evaded the maid's search, and what they said, naturally omitting the parts that made her heart race and her face blush.
As Lanqin listened, she carefully observed Wuxiha's expression. Seeing that Wuxiha did not show anything unusual, she said, "This man's courage is extraordinary. A merchant who can infiltrate Prince Yong's mansion and become a guest of honor of Prince Chun is no simple matter."
Ushiha nodded and said, "Mother, you mean what your purpose is in talking about him?"
Lanqin nodded and said, "Otherwise, how could it be such a coincidence that I run into you every time? Ushiha, there seem to be too many coincidences between you and him."
When Ushiha heard her mother say this, she seemed to think it was too coincidental. However, she did not expect Lanqin to think so deeply. She asked with some confusion, "Mother, do you mean that he deliberately approached me? But why would he deliberately approach me?"
Lanqin said, "You are the daughter of Prince Yong."
After Lanqin gave her a few instructions, Wuxiha couldn't sleep. After Lanqin's words, she couldn't help but begin to suspect the reason why that person kept appearing in front of her.
I was glad I invited him to Prince Yong's residence; now it seems I need to be more cautious.
Because of these thoughts, Ushiha gradually calmed down. He realized that he and that person were just strangers who had met by chance, so why was he completely unguarded?
