The crowd began to disperse further, and the man who broke the large stones watched helplessly as the spectators forgot about him, feeling utterly devastated. They dared not offend these petty thieves. They were all part of gangs; offending one meant certain death in this area.
Several thug-like men emerged from the crowd and surrounded the two guards.
"Little girl, did I touch you?" Huang Laosan actually walked up to Qingcao again, reached out his hand, and wanted to touch Qingcao's face.
"Get out of my way!" Ushiha grabbed Qingcao and shouted.
"Hehe, you're still a little firecracker. I like that. Today, I'll taste the flavor of a little firecracker." With that, Huang Laosan turned and reached out his hand to Wuxiha.
Upon seeing this, the two guards immediately began to fight with the thugs, but unfortunately they were outnumbered and their four fists could not withstand the attack of six or seven people.
"Little Chili, you're the one who messed with me today, so what?" Old Huang approached Wuxiha, looking her up and down.
"You dare! If you dare take another step closer, I will make you pay a terrible price." Ushiha said boldly, though she was actually scared. After all, distant water cannot quench a nearby fire, and if this person were to harm her now, there would be nothing she could do.
"Hehe, there's nothing I, Huang Laosan, wouldn't dare to do." The man stared at Wuxiha evilly, getting closer and closer, forcing the mistress and servant to retreat.
"Fellow villagers, they are bullying vulnerable women, how can you stand idly by!" Ushiha exclaimed, quickly coming up with a clever idea.
After hearing this, the crowd merely looked at each other, and no one stepped forward to help.
"Hehe, little chili pepper!" Old Huang leered as he reached out towards Wuxiha's face.
Just as Ushiha was about to kick someone, a bright flying knife shot out from an unknown direction and pierced the hand that was about to approach.
ah!
Huang Laosan let out a terrible howl, the sudden and intense pain causing him to clutch his right hand and scream.
Ushiha saw with his own eyes a red jet of blood spurt from the man's hand, and in no time, Huang Laosan's right palm had turned into a bloody palm.
When the group saw that Huang Laosan was injured, they quickly released the two guards and went to check on his injuries.
"Don't worry about me, grab them! Grab them!" Old Huang said angrily.
Huang Laosan glared fiercely at Wuxiha and his servant, a murderous intent flashing through his mind. They were both men who had lived on the edge of a knife, stealing things for money. But now that he had been injured, it ignited the savagery hidden in their hearts.
"My father has sent a skilled protector to guard me secretly. If you dare to be insolent again, be careful that your other hand doesn't get stabbed too," Ushiha said, trying to remain calm. She saw the fierce glint in the thief's eyes and knew that he was angry. Although she was uttering threatening words, she was still so frightened that she kept backing away.
However, Huang Laosan was indeed frightened by her words, because the flying knife had come unexpectedly. He swung it fiercely at the crowd.
"Release my guards now, or the next stab might be aimed at your throat!" Ushiha said, seizing the opportunity as his intimidation worked.
Old Huang San wasn't so cowardly, though. He quickly calmed down and said, "You brat, just wait and see how I deal with you!"
But before he could get any closer, a streak of light indeed cut through the whistling wind and flew toward Huang Laosan's other hand.
