New book is open: "Qing Dynasty Transmigration: Fourth Master's Beloved Consort", welcoming new and old friends to follow.
Before transmigration, Lin Mengyao was a leftover woman ...
On the northwestern battlefield, the two armies have begun to confront each other.
"Your Majesty, it's only the third watch of the night. Why are you up?" The Seventeenth Prince was discussing battle formations with Hongli and the others. The Xiongnu people on the border were appearing more and more frequently, and all the animals around seemed to have sensed something and had all run away. There wasn't even a singing bird. The occasional long and sharp cry seemed to be reminding everyone that a great battle was about to begin.
"What time is it? How can I sleep?" During this special period, the sounds of bugles and slogans outside are incessant, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. With the Fourth Prince preoccupied with troop deployments, how could he possibly sleep?
"Report—enemy incursion detected in the rear!" A soldier suddenly ran over.
Fourth Master frowned and asked, "Who's guarding the rear? What's the situation now?"
"Don't worry, there's a general with men waiting behind us. We've already taken precautions." Seventeen reached out to help Fourth Master up. Fourth Master sat in the main seat. Not long after he sat down, another person came to report that the left wing had also been attacked.
The Fourth Prince closed his eyes and rested for a while. He stood up, and the generals around him also stood up.
"Proceed as I instructed yesterday. Are you all ready?"
"Your Majesty, that's too dangerous. Why don't you let your younger brother do it for you?" Seventeen was anxious. They had gathered here so early to stop the Fourth Prince's plan, but who would have thought that the Fourth Prince would wake up so early?
"Seventeenth Uncle, just listen to Father Emperor, let's hurry up and make preparations." Fourth Prince frowned, intending to reprimand Seventeenth Uncle, but Hongli beat him to it and dragged Seventeenth Uncle out of the imperial tent.
Fourth Master and Suhar walked out of the tent together. Today, he specially wore a bright yellow armor, which made him stand out in the dark.
"Your Majesty, I still think this is too dangerous." For some reason, Suhar, who had originally agreed with the Fourth Prince, has now changed his mind.
The Fourth Prince said, "You can't catch a wolf without risking your cub. If I don't go out, the cunning Xiongnu commander won't show himself."
"Yes, yes, Your Majesty is right."
"What's that sound?" Fourth Prince strode forward and walked to the front of the army. He surveyed the troops and saw that all the generals were there, except for Hongli, who had come with him for training.
"Where did Hongli go?" Fourth Prince asked Seventeenth Prince.
Seventeenth Master remained silent.
"I ask you, where is my Hongli?!" the Fourth Prince roared in exasperation.
"Your Majesty, he went to hunt wolves," Suhar said, stepping forward to flatter him.
"You! You all!" Fourth Master looked around at the crowd, and they all knelt down, begging him for mercy.
"Father, the most important thing now is to send troops. We must not waste the advantages that Hongli has brought us," Ushiha reminded him.
"Yes, let's go!" Fourth Prince took a few steps back, turned around and looked at Seventeenth Prince. "Get down, I want this horse."
"Yes, Your Majesty." The Seventeenth Prince dismounted and watched as His Majesty rode off into the distance with his horse. He rubbed his face and muttered to himself, "What did I do to deserve this?"
The final battle was bloody. The Fourth Prince originally intended to risk his life, using himself as bait to lure the enemy out, but Hongli (the future Emperor) led the charge barefoot, forcing the Fourth Prince to assume the position of Grand General and command the troops. The Xiongnu, seeing Hongli in his bright yellow robes, genuinely mistook him for the Fourth Prince and led a large force to pursue him. The Fourth Prince led his troops to annihilate Hongli, and the remaining forces were dealt with by Suhar and his men.
A great battle raged from dawn till dusk, with rivers of blood flowing. The Qing Dynasty emerged victorious, but at a terrible cost.
