We're all stray cats, with no family, and the only people we're close to are each other.

There was much discussion about Chestnut's body; some suggested burying it in a secluded place like Ah Huang did, while others suggested letting humans take it away.

Obviously, the first option is the better choice.

Chestnut's departure was a significant blow to Jun Qi.

Jun Qi has been thinking a lot these past few days. He often has nightmares or other bad dreams at night. In his dreams, he leaves the kitten early and sees the kitten looking haggard, which breaks his heart.

How could my beloved kitten turn out like that?

Qiaoqiao, you must leave before me in the future.

Hearing Jun Qi's words, Xu Qiaoqiao was stunned. She looked down at the cat rubbing its head against her chest, and for some reason, she felt an impulse and blurted out, "Why?"

Are you sad because Chestnut left?

Jun Qi didn't say these words aloud, but in reality, even if he did, Xu Qiaoqiao wouldn't care.

He quickly leaned over and kissed Xu Qiaoqiao, pressing himself tightly against her, as if he could feel her heartbeat, which was far from calm.

"Jun Jun, did you remember something?" Xu Qiaoqiao sniffed and responded slightly to Jun Qi's action by kissing his chin.

Jun Qi pounced on Xu Qiaoqiao and hugged her tightly, his kisses brushing against her cheek. His voice was a little muffled: "It was just a dream. I don't know anything anymore. I forgot a lot when I woke up. But, little kitty, I must have known you for a long time."

Definitely, I've liked you for a long time.

Xu Qiaoqiao's eyelashes trembled slightly, and she raised her hand to touch Jun Qi's head. Now, comforted by him, she had stopped crying and quietly nestled in Jun Qi's arms.

Listening to his steady heartbeat, she was still thinking about Jun Qi. She felt that her system must be connected to Jun Qi in some way.

Hopefully, the system will be able to complete the permissions upgrade this time.

She had so many questions, so many things she wanted to understand. She carried all those memories alone, taking them to one world after another. Was this punishment or a blessing?

Since that incident, Xu Qiaoqiao would occasionally tell Jun Qi about what had happened before, but none of it ever came of any use.

Whenever Xu Qiaoqiao talks about these things, he stares at you with wide, blank eyes. Clearly, Jun Qi doesn't understand what Xu Qiaoqiao is saying.

This left Xu Qiaoqiao feeling somewhat frustrated.

Chestnut's departure seemed to be some kind of signal; that same year, cats of similar age to Chestnut also began to leave this world.

There will always be a number of stray cats. Gradually, the stray cats walking on this street will all be cats that Xu Qiaoqiao doesn't recognize.

She often goes out with Jun Qi, bringing their two children with her.

Later, Xu Qiaoqiao wrote a complete account of Chestnut's story to her pet owner, especially the moment they met, which she described in a very touching way.

It made the pet owner depressed for many days.
