Eating dead fish?

Upon hearing this question, Jun Qi narrowed his eyes slightly. This question was indeed quite serious. Catching fish was not a difficult task. Why would some emperor penguins refuse to eat fresh fish and instead eat dead ones?

Xu Qiaoqiao opened her mouth as if to say something, but found that her voice could not be heard. So she waved her little wings at the other person, smiled and leaned in, forehead to forehead, water flowing between them.

Jun Qi also moved his head slightly, swam a short distance, stretched out his arms, hugged Xu Qiaoqiao, and separated after a few seconds. He pointed to the group of small fish swimming around not far away, tilted his head towards Xu Qiaoqiao, as if to say: Want to eat fish?

Xu Qiaoqiao's eyes immediately lit up. She nodded vigorously at Jun Qi, as if afraid he wouldn't see her in this environment: Yes, yes, yes! Let's go together!

She mimicked Jun Qi's earlier actions, pointing at the group of fish that were still happily swimming around, and waving her arms.

Jun Qi watched Xu Qiaoqiao's movements, then leaned over and gently rubbed the tip of his beak against her forehead. With the lubrication of the seawater, the movement was incredibly gentle, like gauze being blown away by the wind and accidentally brushing against your face.

For Xu Qiaoqiao and Jun Qi, the emperor penguin actually has an advantage over the polar bear. They are more likely to find food. There are so many fish in the sea, so they are bound to find something. Fish usually move in groups, so it is actually quite easy for them.

However, during this period, the danger increases significantly, and there is a high probability that one will become food for other animals.

Xu Qiaoqiao also experienced hunger before Emperor Penguin Dad and Mom left her. Back then, the two of them would switch places every month. At the end of the month, if Emperor Penguin Dad or Mom ran out of food, that would be when Xu Qiaoqiao would go hungry.

They are all the same, which is why they are so happy when they see the emperor penguin parents returning from hunting. At that moment, each emperor penguin is practically bathed in holy light.

These fish are just some very common fish that live in the Antarctic region. They have silver scales, flat bodies, and particularly prominent dead fish eyes. The meat isn't particularly delicious, but it's fresh. When you bite into it, the tail is still thrashing around.

Xu Qiaoqiao ate about ten fish in one meal, and her stomach was about 80% full. She stopped eating when she reached that point.

After Jun Qi finished eating, the two of them slowly swam towards the sea.

Xu Qiaoqiao was still thinking about the emperor penguin that ate the dead fish, wondering if it had finished defecating and where it was now.
