"Oh, friends, did you see that? After a week of observation, my partner and I have been filming the jaguar and the little otter every day."

"I've noticed that the two of them have a really great relationship." Peter and Ed were squatting not far from Xu Qiaoqiao and Jun Qi, sitting casually on a tree stump next to them. Peter said to the camera with an exaggerated expression.

“They are very close. I can believe that they are the most important people to each other in this world. As we all know, otters are not weak in attack; on the contrary, they are very powerful.”

“There have been reports before that even otters kept in zoos are still very strong and can fight. There was a little boy who accidentally fell from the stands into a group of otters and ended up with very little intact skin and flesh.”

Speaking of this, Peter sighed, clearly feeling somewhat upset about it. He quickly changed the subject and continued talking about the relationship between Xu Qiaoqiao and Jun Qi.

"It's obvious that the otter we're seeing is the same. As my friends know, I always name the animals I observe, and this time is no exception."

Ed set up the camera steadily and looked over. Under the shade of the tree, the two little ones were snuggling together, the dappled light casting shadows on them, making the surroundings seem particularly quiet.

Today the sun finally came out. Although we knew it would disappear again in the afternoon, after several days of overcast skies, seeing the bright sunlight made everyone feel relieved and as if everything around them had brightened up.

Xu Qiaoqiao, like an otter, lay on her side on Jun Qi's chest, her big tail draped over the large cat's body. She rested her head on Jun Qi's front paws, then suddenly kicked her legs, giving Jun Qi's hind paws a very slight kick.

"Chirp chirp." Jun Qi let out a soft chirp, her eyes widening slightly as she looked at the little creature that had suddenly kicked her. She didn't understand why the little creature was doing this, even though the kick didn't hurt at all.

Could it be that the little guy has something to say?

Jun Qi lowered his head slightly, his wet nose rubbing against Xu Qiaoqiao's head. The fur there was very soft and incredibly comfortable. After being sunbathed, it was even fluffier and soft to the touch, filling his heart with tenderness.

Xu Qiaoqiao didn't look up, but raised her paw and groped him a few times. When she touched his face, the back of her paw brushed against his whiskers, and she whimpered a few times.

—Nothing's wrong, it's just a subconscious action that feels comfortable.

Xu Qiaoqiao glanced out of the corner of her eye and saw that the two humans were still there. Obviously, the weather was very nice today. They liked the weather because things were clearer when it was sunny.

However, what bothered her was not this matter, but rather that she couldn't hear what the two humans were saying to her. Even if she couldn't understand their words, she could still listen to them, since it was human language.

A feeling that is both strange and familiar.

Because Peter and Ed speak very quickly, Xu Qiaoqiao rarely hears them clearly, so she doesn't even know their names yet.

Xu Qiaoqiao glanced at Peter and Ed again. The two of them were still chatting away. One of the humans was pointing at his own Junjun with a particularly happy expression on his face.

With Xu Qiaoqiao by his side, Jun Qi rarely lost his temper. He didn't understand these human actions, and of course, he wouldn't try to understand them. In short, he just ignored them.

“I named that little otter Joe, and that jaguar Jun. Don’t you think these names suit them perfectly?” Peter sat in front of the camera, appearing alongside Xu Qiaoqiao and Jun Qi, his eyes crinkling with laughter.

"Between the two of them, it was almost always the jaguar that was hunting, but it was obvious that it was much larger and much faster at finding and hunting food, just like the head of the household."

When Peter talked about this, his smile became noticeably brighter, radiating sunshine as if he were about to glow.

"However, Joe does hunt sometimes, but during the week of filming, I only saw Joe hunt once, and that was when she was playing in the water and accidentally encountered a big fish."

Peter will never forget how Jun's eyes practically leaped with admiration when he saw Joe catching the big fish, and how he praised her generously, patted her little head, and looked very satisfied.

Thinking about this, Peter's smile deepened considerably.

Ed added, "Yes, they have a really good relationship. Once, I saw this jaguar kissing a baby otter. It was a real kiss, a very gentle one. It's just a pity that my battery died at that time, so I didn't take a picture."

They talked a lot into the camera, and while they were talking, Ed would move the camera forward from time to time, and he would do the same to himself, so that the footage would be clearer and the distance between them would be much closer.

Jun Qi turned a blind eye to these petty actions. As long as they posed no threat, he wouldn't interfere. These threats were divided into two categories: those that threatened territory and those that endangered lives.
