"It's terrible! The bandits are attacking! Everyone, run!"

The carriage moved at a leisurely pace along the path, taking small, quick steps.

The Li family members walked briskly around the carriage.

Everything seemed peaceful, but this rare tranquility was shattered by a sudden exclamation from behind.

The refugees who had been hanging half-dead behind suddenly seemed to be frightened and ran frantically toward the carriage.

Those with long legs and fast running speed had already overtaken the carriage and were running ahead.

Some of the refugees simply disappeared into the nearby woods.

The commotion among the refugees startled the horse, which nearly threw itself and kicked the guard beside it.

"Master, I heard there are bandits. I'm going to check behind. You all quickly find a place to hide!"

Liu Zhi drew his sword, paused for a moment beside the carriage, told Liu Muchen inside about the situation, and then rushed towards the direction from which the refugees were coming.

Lin Xue shook the two sleeping children awake in a panic, and said to Liu Muchen beside her.

He kept asking questions while mentally planning his next move.

Liu Zhi kept his eyes fixed on the situation behind him, his worries growing stronger.

Just then, the carriage slowly came to a stop.

"Unload the carriage. We need to take the horses with us. You all get into the carriage and take everything you can carry. The rest will have to be thrown away!"

Liu Muchen traveled light this time, carrying not much, but there was still a lot of food in the carriage.

Everyone pitched in, and each person carried some on their back.

After jumping off the carriage, Lin Xue took her little donkey, found her small basket on her back, and carried it on her back.

Lin Xue pulled Liu Zhi, who was on guard, aside and pointed him in a direction.

"I smell prey and water this way. We won't starve if we go this way!"

After explaining things to Liu Zhi, Lin Xue turned around and went back to the women's group without waiting for his reaction.

"Ah Hui, Taozi! You two just need to take care of yourselves. If you can't carry anything, just throw it away. Staying alive is the most important thing!"

She helped her two daughters-in-law check their baskets and took the less important items off and threw them back onto the carriage.

"Da Gui, Er Gui, you two keep an eye on your wives. You know how good I am at hunting. When it comes to running speed, neither of you can outrun me!"

Lin Xue silently checked her sons' belongings and gave them some instructions.

"Ah Xue, are you all done with your work? We need to get going!"

It's a long story, but it all happened in just a few minutes, and they had packed their bags and were ready to leave.

Lin Xue glanced at the carriage and abandoned items lying on the ground, feeling a pang of reluctance.

"Let's hurry up, I'll go scout ahead!"

After Lin Xue finished speaking, she darted off in the direction she had chosen earlier.

But just after turning past two big trees and a rock, it suddenly disappeared into the space.

Although she was inside the space, she kept a close eye on what was happening outside.

After watching her team members walk past, Lin Xue emerged from her spatial dimension and returned to the place where the abandoned carriage had been.

After carefully observing the surroundings, he found that the refugees had long since disappeared. He immediately waved his hand and put the entire carriage into his spatial storage.
