After finally graduating from university, she booked a tour group to 'reward' herself for years of hard study, but unexpectedly ran into falling rocks and was killed. Her wonderful life had...
The two of them walked one after the other and quickly arrived at the building across the street. This time, the windows on the second floor were sealed tightly. Lin Xue tried to cut the railing several times with her machete, but she couldn't break it.
He had no choice but to jump down from the wall, use his skills to open the door, and then enter the house.
Fortunately, there was also a terrace on the second floor, and the houses in this row were much better than the houses they had lived in before.
The interior is fully furnished, and although no one has lived there for many years, you can still see the original luxury.
"How about we build a couple of houses like this and live in them sometime?"
"This is much better than the houses back home!"
Lin Xue liked the layout of the house more and more, and the house was completely undamaged.
Although there was a bit more dust, it was still generally clean.
"If Xiaoxue is moving here, then I'll move here with my family too!"
"It seems like we're the only two survivors left in this area. We can't afford to separate again!"
"I stayed there because I couldn't bear to leave the old house. Now we've eaten everything edible and chopped up everything that could be used for firewood!"
"There's nothing left to miss!"
The man's expression was full of dejection; that was a house he and his wife had worked hard for over several years to buy.
Although the houses here aren't as nice as those here, they are still the result of my own hard work.
After all, they were the only two surviving families in the area. If Xiaoxue also left, they would be the only ones living in front, which would actually be even less safe.
"Let's hurry up and get something to eat!"
To protect her health, Lin Xue had previously induced vomiting to reduce the workload on her stomach.
So after walking around like this, she felt a little hungry again.
I didn't expect this body to have such a strong digestive ability. I thought I was going to have diarrhea, but I didn't have any problems at all.
Even though she vomited some, most of the food was still in her stomach.
"Okay, whatever you say!"
The man wasn't the type to have strong opinions, so now that someone was taking charge, he was happy to follow suit.
The two quickly left through the back door.
This is a very wide street, and there aren't many zombies here at the moment.
There were only a few scattered around, and I didn't see any of them.
Lin Xue led the man and ran wildly. Even though they were moving fast enough, they still attracted the attention of some zombies.
Soon, the zombies chased after Lin Xue and her companion.
"Faster!"
Seeing that the man slowed down as he ran, Lin Xue reached out and pulled him along.
Fortunately, the two entered the shop across the street before the zombies surrounded them.
There were also zombies inside the shop. Lin Xue swiftly chopped off the heads of several zombies with her knife.
The man pushed the cabinet next to him to the doorway to prevent the zombies outside from entering.
"Go up to the second floor!"
Lin Xue helped block the doorway with some things, then quickly led the man up to the second floor.
There were also two zombies on the second floor, which Lin Xue easily dealt with.
"Separate teams to search!"
After dealing with the zombies, Xue said something to the man and then began searching through the various rooms.
Unfortunately, they weren't very lucky; they only found a bag of expired cookies, a few daggers, and two candles.
"Xiaoxue, let's each have half of this cookie!"
Although the cookies were expired, thankfully they weren't moldy. The man opened the bag and gave half to Lin Xue.
"I'm not eating, let's go!"
Lin Xue didn't take the half-biscuit; instead, she went to the back window and opened it.
Then she climbed onto the window and leaped onto the opposite windowsill.
"come over!"
At Lin Xue's call, the man closed his eyes, mustered his strength, and then jumped with all his might onto the opposite windowsill.
Behind him, zombies were surging towards the second floor.
"Close the window!"
Lin Xue's words made the man close the window with lingering fear, blocking the zombie's view.
The house they were in must have been a shop before, as there were still some broken pieces of porcelain on the floor.
It's obvious this place has been robbed, and judging from the large amount of broken porcelain, it must have been a home furnishing store.
"I remember there's a shopping mall called 'Get Rich' right next door, but how do we get there?"
The man walked to the other end of the house, where he could see the back entrance of the adjacent Nouveau Riche shopping mall from the open-air balcony.
"Go out the back door. I'll go out first and take care of the zombies at the entrance. Follow me when the opportunity arises!"
After Lin Xue finished speaking, she went out through the door on the first floor, which was already half broken.
He quickly crept up behind the zombies, and with a swift stroke of his knife, dispatched the zombies at the doorway.
Then they rushed quickly towards the back door of the Richman Mall.
Seeing that Lin Xue had finished fighting the zombies, the man followed her, so the two quickly rushed into the courtyard of the Rich Shopping Mall.
The large iron gate was wide open, but the two ignored it and rushed into the mall.
Entering through the back door, the first area you arrive at is the warehouse area.
Unfortunately, the warehouse is now empty, probably because it was ransacked by the previous survivors.
All that remained were rows of empty shelves.
"Shall we look for it?"
The man, panting heavily, leaned against the shelf beside him. After walking all this way, his legs were weak, his feet were trembling, and his whole body felt limp.
Thinking of his sick daughter and hungry old father at home, the man had to force himself to stay strong.
"I have some bread here, have some first, and return it to me when you find the actual food!"
There was only one cookie in that bag.
