She shifted her gaze to the figure next to her, and the cup in her hand slipped and fell to the ground, shattering completely with a "crack".

Jiang Ling's eyes were almost bloodshot.

Could someone explain to her who this little boy, who looks so much like her baby son, the dean is holding?

Chen Qing was startled and quickly picked up the broom next to him to sweep up the broken glass and put it away.

The little boy rushed over excitedly and shouted to her, "Mom! You're finally awake!"

Jiang Ling was caught off guard and quickly stepped back, looking at the child in front of her with an expression that was truly amazing.

The dean helped clean up the debris, muttering, "What happened to Ling'er?"

"Who knows? Logically, the examination showed nothing wrong, but it was like this the moment I woke up." Chen Qing shook his head helplessly, "It's so weird, I don't understand."

Seeing the child about to rush over to hug her, Jiang Ling huddled at the foot of the bed, pointing at him and asking, "No, whose child is he?"

The dean looked worried. Chen Qing rolled his eyes, put his hands on his hips and said unhappily, "Why, you don't even recognize your own son?"

"My son?" Jiang Ling pointed at herself, surprised.

Chen Qing pulled the sad-looking child over and made him stand still. "Come, godson, introduce yourself to your mother."

The little boy coughed twice and stood up. "Hello, Mom. My name is Zhou Xian. I'm three and a half years old. You took great pains to give birth to me. I'm cute, sensible, and smart. I'll be going to kindergarten in a week..."

Jiang Ling looked at him blankly, eyes wide open, "Your name is Zhou Xian?"

Zhou Xian nodded, the little guy's round face was raised, very cute.

"Why are you here?!" Jiang Ling frowned, feeling like her brain had crashed and couldn't think straight.

September is the beginning of autumn. The sky near dusk is filled with an orange afterglow, casting a warm glow on the office on the ninth floor of the hospital.

The nurse passing by heard a "bang" from inside the door, stopped to look, and saw a white figure stumbling out of the door, running anxiously to the ward on the right.

"Doctor Zhou..." The nurse had only said half of her greeting when the man had already run away.

The nurse tilted her head, wondering why Dr. Zhou was so careless today. She guessed that there might be a patient with a problem who needed urgent attention, so she shrugged and continued to get busy.

A figure ran through the hospital corridor, his white coat fluttering, his steps hurried, and his long hair flying. It looked like a man, but he passed by in a flash before anyone could see who he was. He didn't seem familiar with the place, but he went to a single room as if he was guided.

"Yes, it's the third door in front. The host is inside."

The fox was flying in the air, guiding the people coming, with an excited look on its face.

It had just seen Jiang Ling's series of performances, which were so exciting. It was really looking forward to the next scene.

The tall and thin figure ran to the door of the ward. The door was half open. He pushed the door open in panic and looked inside anxiously. He saw the person sitting on the bed at a glance.

Jiang Ling was sitting cross-legged, with his head propped up, looking shocked, distressed and confused. Hu Hu wanted to laugh when he saw it. This scene was really like when the host first traveled to the Dagan Dynasty.

She heard the sound of the door being pushed open and looked up. When she saw the person coming in wearing a shirt, a white coat, leather shoes, and with his hair loose, her brain froze again.

"Zhou...Zhou Jing'an?" She uttered the name uncertainly.

The moment Zhou Jing'an saw her, his heart calmed down. He ran over and hugged her, hugging her tightly as if he wanted to rub her into his body.

"Ling'er..." He choked with sobs as he spoke.

Chen Qing curled her lips and muttered softly, "I don't recognize my son, but my husband does."

She chuckled, took Zhou Xian's hand, and walked out of the room with the dean, "You two can catch up on the past while we go buy some food."

The door closed with a click, and silence returned to the room.

Jiang Ling felt the strength and warmth of the other person's embrace, and heard him calling her name again and again, as if she had just woken up from a dream, "Zhou Jing'an, how could you..."

Zhou Jing'an raised his head and stared at her closely, his tearful eyes full of satisfaction and attachment.

"I finally see you again, Ling'er, I missed you so much..." He pressed his forehead against hers, staring at her intently, not daring to look away.

Jiang Ling wanted to ask more questions when she heard Foxy's laughter. When she looked up, she saw Foxy spinning in circles in the air, wagging its tail happily.

"Silly?" She opened her eyes wide.

Jiang Ling looked at Zhou Jing'an who was holding her tightly, then looked at Hu Hu and smiled helplessly, "What's going on? Tell me the truth."

Foxy had had enough of the spectacle and moved closer to her.

"Host, I didn't tell you before that your illness wasn't caused by cancer. It was caused by the instability of that small world. Although you've put everything back on track, you were still inevitably affected, which is why you died."

"The system only discovered this problem after you became ill. To make amends, it decided to allow you to return to your original world after death."

"As for Zhou Jing'an and Zhou Xian..." Fox blinked, "It's a reward for the host. It's also because they have such deep feelings for you and are afraid that something might happen, so they asked me to come forward and tell Zhou Jing'an that he can come to the real world after his death."

Jiang Ling suddenly realized, "Is that so." No wonder she stayed in that dark space for so long after her death. She was probably waiting for Zhou Jing'an.
