General Xie and his wife were awakened by their maid.

When the two woke up, they found that the door of the house was so badly broken that it was unrecognizable.

As for Gu Jiangli, whom they wanted to trap, he had already disappeared.

"Where is Gu Jiangli?" General Xie asked hurriedly.

The maids had no idea why their master was angry. Upon hearing the order, they could only help General Xie and his wife up before proceeding with their tasks.

After the maids left, Lady Liu seemed even more worried.

"Master, do you think things might go wrong? An hour has already passed. If Gu Jiangli really stopped the princess's plan, the Xie family should be in chaos by now."

It's even stranger that there's been no movement now.

General Xie looked worried. "Perhaps the princess has already succeeded, and Gu Jiangli arrived too late."

Liu nodded.

The two walked hurriedly from one courtyard to another.

Xie Shiyan's residence was quiet.

Liu found an excuse to try and gauge Xie Shiyan's opinion.

With a creak, the door opened.

The two of them took a step back simultaneously, and when they saw this person, their eyes widened in surprise.

Then, a look of surprise appeared on his face.

Princess Jinghe's hair was a little messy, and her clothes were loosely draped over her body.

The way he looks like he's just been through a storm is astounding.
