The middle-aged man raised an eyebrow.

Butler Li bowed even lower and said:

"My lord, I only wanted to teach him a lesson. The Pavilion Master is so busy with affairs of state, how could he possibly have time to concern himself with this… What do you think?"

The middle-aged man was finally satisfied, his voice icy cold, like a demon from hell:

Steward Li approached Yu Ling with a sinister grin, made a gesture, and two of the most burly and imposing men stepped out from among the guards.

However, it was all in vain. Yu Ling's resistance was futile. The two men had already grabbed Yu Ling's arms from both sides and dragged her away.

Yu Ling was getting agitated. He just wanted to rest, why was it so difficult for him!

The night was as cool as ink, with a bright moon and few stars.

A gentle breeze swept by, swirling up the withered yellow leaves on the ground, creating a rustling sound.

In a secluded, dark room in the Sun family mansion, the flickering candlelight cast a scarlet glow, making the person inside appear exceptionally desolate.

Sitting at a table was an old man draped in a thin blanket; this was none other than Butler Li, who had just come up with the bad idea.

Butler Li spoke in a chilling tone, his vicious eyes practically threatening to devour him alive. Yu Ling's face wore an expression of unwavering defiance, her eyes glaring angrily.

"Pah! You think I'm scared? I have a short temper, so what? Is it wrong to speak the truth?"

"Heh, you've got guts, kid. Too bad, no one in this world is immune to pain. If you can really hold out until tomorrow morning without giving in, I'll truly admire you. But..."

Butler Li stood up with a cold laugh, walked to Yu Ling's side, looked down at him with a gaze full of pre-inflicted tormenting excitement, and said...

"With that small frame, how many tortures can it withstand? But you're quite handsome; you'll probably look awful when you cry later, hahaha!"

After saying that, Butler Li gave a signal to the two burly men. One of them immediately pulled out a whip full of barbs from his waist and lashed it directly at Yu Ling with a snap!

Butler Li laughed even more wildly, waving his hand and saying:

Another lash struck Yu Ling hard on the back. Yu Ling groaned and was knocked to the ground by the force of the blow. The barbs dug deep into her skin and tore through her skin, and blood immediately soaked through her clothes, making the wounds a shocking sight.

"Kid, now you know what pain is? Still dare to challenge me?"

Butler Li smiled sinisterly.

Yu Ling gritted her teeth and remained silent, fine beads of cold sweat seeping from her forehead.

His smile gradually turned ferocious. Butler Li grabbed Yu Ling's long hair, which was tied up high, forcing her to tilt her head back with difficulty. Seeing the man glaring at her with fierce eyes, she looked defiant and sighed:

"You little rascal, you've got some nerve!"

Snap!

Another heavy lash came down.

"Hmm~"

Yu Ling groaned softly, a hint of pain flashing in her eyes.

Seeing Yu Ling's discomfiture, Steward Li was actually pleased and instructed the burly man holding the whip:

"Strike! Strike me hard!"

"Yes, Master Steward!"

The burly man agreed, then swung his whip and lashed Yu Ling without any mercy.

Waves of excruciating pain spread throughout her body, and Yu Ling felt like she was about to be knocked unconscious. Her clothes were tattered, revealing her fair skin and faint, deep wounds that showed the bone. She looked extremely disheveled.

Butler Li's laughter grew even more rampant.

"You brat, now you know what pain is! Still think this is your home? That everyone will spoil you and pamper you? You're wrong!"

He kicked Yu Ling's wound and said viciously:

"Today I'll tell you exactly who you shouldn't have offended!"

As he spoke, the burly man lashed out with his whip several more times.

Yu Ling gritted his teeth, veins bulging on his forehead, his face pale, and a trickle of blood slowly seeping from the corner of his lips, but he still gritted his teeth, without uttering a sound of pain or begging for mercy.

"Alright, alright, I'll see how long you can hold out!"

Steward Li enjoyed tormenting these tough nuts, and ordered:

"Hit me again! Put your all in!"

Yu Ling was in a terrible state, her body trembling violently. She gritted her teeth and endured these inhuman tortures. Cold sweat dripped from her forehead, but her lips remained tightly closed.

"Sir, that's enough. If we keep fighting, he'll be dead."

The burly man who was pressing down on someone couldn't help but speak up to remind him.
