Ai Cao was bound to a system under the Heaven's Will.
The skills provided by the system allow men to get pregnant, using their bodies as nourishment (upon death) to birth new life.
...
This is an out-of-season snow.
Snow is not, in the usual sense, small particles formed by the condensation of water.
They are the grayish-white ash formed from the shredded corpses of lower-level vampires.
Similar to snow, they disappear when exposed to the sun.
These ashes only have a chance to settle under this black sky.
The three standing in the heart of the blizzard calmly gazed at the sky. Countless low-level vampires—bats—rushed towards them, only to be torn apart by the impatient Helen, before slowly drifting down from the sky.
Helen raised her hand high. Her bright red eyes were filled with impatience, and anger materialized in her hand as a massive longsword, which she gripped and thrust straight into the sky. She was like a volcano about to erupt, waiting to unleash her fury.
A pale blue streak appeared in the black sky.
That was the original color of the sky.
Helen thrust her sword forward again. She added another mark next to the first, and just as she was about to thrust again, the tip of her sword was blocked.
“…Even if they are low-level vampires, you can’t just kill so many of them,” the man said.
The other person's voice was low and husky, yet magnetic, as if their vocal cords had been removed.
Ai Cao swept the area around and whispered, "He's hidden; I can't see him."
Helen's lips curled into a smile as she forcefully pushed the hilt of her longsword. The man snorted coldly, and black clouds descended from the sky, pressing down on her sword. Helen flicked her wrist, scraping a piece of the cloud off.
The man's voice immediately changed from low and hoarse to high and loud.
If the occasion weren't so inappropriate, Ai Cao would have praised Helen's superb skills—she was practically a modern-day miracle doctor, curing the other person's throat in an instant.
The cloud descended heavily before them. Helen raised her hand and cleaved it, turning the lowly vampires that made up the cloud into scattered snow and ash, leaving only the severed half of the hand. Helen stepped forward, picked up the severed hand, and tossed it to Ai Cao: "Take a look."
Ai Cao caught the severed hand: "I'll try."
She activated the "Good Pregnancy" skill on the severed hand.
Standing beside her, Lillian calmly closed her eyes and said, "Found it."
A sharp, mocking laugh came from mid-air.
The [Good Pregnancy] skill has finished its cooldown. Artemisia calmly scanned the surrounding areas, trying to glimpse the faces of the other vampires through the obscuration of the dark clouds.
The man in mid-air seemed to sense the changes in his body. He roared furiously, threatening Helen that he would turn all her relatives into blood slaves—
His voice suddenly turned into a sharp scream of pain.
Then it suddenly disappeared.
It was as if the mute button had been pressed, and his voice could no longer be heard.
Only a black cloud fell from the sky.
The dark clouds slowly descended. Helen stared at the abruptly appearing cloud, her grip on the sword hilt tightening and loosening.
As the cloud descended into the sky, it was tinged with blood. It tumbled to the ground, and the lower-ranking vampires surrounding it were sliced off piece by piece by Helen, turning into piles of scattered white ash.
A pale hand reached out from the blood-black clouds. She tore away the remaining clouds, her eyes wide with curiosity as she looked at the three women before her. She glanced around, and her crimson eyes, similar to Helen's, curved into a smile.
The woman said, "I'll help."
She wielded her knife and mercilessly chopped the half-dead corpse on the ground into ashes.
The entity in the air, which had been silent until now, emitted a heavy sound.
"A mere minor deity dares to oppose me?"
The being glanced down from mid-air. That indifferent gaze stirred something within Ai Cao—she hadn't found a suitable punching bag yet, and now she was particularly eager to kill a few vampires to liven things up.
Dark clouds pressed down.
That being said, "Let me see how much power this little god still has."
Ai Cao grinned and gave the sky the middle finger.
She pulled off the burning pendant from her neck—the woman on the pendant had already grasped the sword beside her. Her energy flowed into Ai Cao's hand, and Ai Cao felt herself gripping the sword hilt as well.
Lillian, who was meditating peacefully beside her, said with her eyes half-closed, "Go, I'm here."
Artemisia laughed heartily. She walked to Helen's side and together they raised their swords.
The newly born woman gazed calmly at the black, all-encompassing clouds and said, "You too should emerge from Lilith's body—"
The black clouds pressed down in fury. Artemisia argyi stomped on the ground, and together with Helen, leaped high into the air, piercing through the clouds.
A new message popped up in front of her eyes, this one.
Without hesitation, Ai Cao used the [Good Pregnancy] skill on him.
She landed lightly on the ground. The black clouds in the sky churned, and occasionally a few streaks of blood could be seen.
They heard a panicked roar from within the clouds. The nearby black clouds were forced to merge, but the crimson color spread even faster, covering the entire cloud layer in just a few breaths.
The black sky turned into a red sky.
Helen silently looked up at the sky. She rubbed her eyes, then looked up again.
She still couldn't sense any trace of vampire aura.
Lillian took a slow breath and opened her reddened eyes. She waved to the mugwort to indicate that she was in a pretty good state, then looked up at the red sky.
In the silence, the red color fell downwards.
This is a fresh snowfall.
The white-gray snow represents the death of vampires, while the red snow represents their rebirth.
Clumps of red snow fell to the ground. The outer layer of snow loosened, revealing bewildered women inside. Overwhelmed by old memories, they wept, cheering and embracing each other, familiar or unfamiliar.
