An accident caused Xiaoli to be reborn as a poor farm girl. Huh, this man actually claimed ownership of her spatial dimension? No worries, it will return to her eventually.
Her soul followed ...
Xiao Li took Xiao Yuan into the mountains; she decided to check on the giant eagle first. Having walked more mountain paths and with her physical abilities improving, the time taken had noticeably shortened. An hour later, they arrived at the foot of the cliff. The giant eagle, with its excellent eyesight, had been waiting there since early morning.
"Master, you've finally arrived." The giant eagle nuzzled her arm affectionately.
Xiao Li also touched its feathers. The eagle was growing very fast, and the feathers that had fallen off last time had almost grown back.
"Big Eagle, do you have a name?" Xiao Li asked curiously.
"I don't have a name, Master, please give me one," the eagle said excitedly.
Xiao Li thought for a moment and said, "How about calling you Xiao Hei? Your feathers are black and majestic."
"Okay, if Master says Xiao Hei is good, then it must be good," Xiao Hei said happily.
"Little Black, is your home on this cliff? And who else lives in your nest?" Xiao Li stroked Little Black's feathers, feeling a little envious. Having wings is really great.
“Yes, my mate and two babies are in the nest.” Little Black pointed with its wing to a large nest on the cliff.
"But they haven't been born yet!" Little Black shrieked, and a large eagle, smaller than Little Black, flew down from the nest. It circled once in the air before landing on the ground.
The two eagles chattered amongst themselves, and soon the eagle lowered its guard against Xiaoli.
"Master, could you bring it into your space as well? That way you can communicate with it."
The eagle also approached Xiaoli and rubbed against her arm to show its affection.
Xiao Li nodded. "Do you want to put your baby in your spatial dimension? It might be good for them if they are born there."
"Is that alright? I'll go and bring them down right now." Little Black flapped its wings and flew high, soon snatching the two eggs from the nest on the cliff.
With a wave of her hand, Xiao Li stored all the beasts into her spatial storage. She named Xiao Hei's companion Xiao Hui because it was gray.
Xiao* chose the name Fei*Li because she was so capricious.
After explaining which items in the space were usable, Xiao Hei chose an open spot to build its nest. Xiao Li continued on her way with Xiao Yuan, wanting to explore the cave Xiao Yuan had discovered.
Led by Xiaoyuan, they continued forward for another hour. They were now deep in the forest, rarely visited by anyone.
"Master, we're almost there." Xiao Yuan's words had barely left her lips when a canyon appeared before them, seemingly inhabited. Perhaps due to years of neglect, it was overgrown with weeds. The small wooden cabins, barely visible, were completely submerged, with only a tiny bit of the eaves sticking out.
Xiao released Xiao Jiu. "Xiao Jiu, hurry up and clear the weeds here. They're too deep; we can't get through."
"Alright, watch this." Xiao Jiu made a gesture, pinched out a bundle of spiritual energy and shot it straight at the weeds in front of her. Wherever it passed, the weeds all fell to the sides to make way for a path.
This is truly a useful skill; another day of envy. It's a pity my spiritual power isn't enough.
"Master, don't be envious. You can do it too when your spiritual power is high enough," Xiao Jiu comforted her proudly.
Xiao Li: I wasn't comforted.
The group entered the wooden hut, where they found a skeleton, bare bones. Xiao Li quickly bowed, muttering, "Senior, please forgive the disturbance."
The cabin was very simple, containing only a wooden bed, a wooden table, and a small box. There were also some basic kitchen utensils and daily necessities. The top was covered in dust.
Xiao Li walked to the small box; it was the only box here that might have any value. She wrapped her hands with cloth and slowly opened the wooden box.
Inside was a small box, several books, a dagger wrapped in cloth, and a few small medicine bottles.
Xiao Li picked up the dagger and examined it closely. It was indeed a sharp dagger. Its hilt was inlaid with gemstones, making it appear quite valuable. Several small medicine bottles were labeled with medicines for wounds and antidotes—all practical medicinal powders.
The books were all medical texts: Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica, Qianjin Fang, a handwritten list of effective remedies for various diseases, and a notebook.
She opened the small box; inside were some gold leaves, a few silver ingots, and some jewelry. Xiao Li closed the wooden box, wiped it clean with a cloth, and stored it in her spatial storage.
“Senior, I don’t know your identity. It is fate that we meet today. I will send you off to your final resting place. I will accept these jewels. Please do not blame me.”
Xiao Li left the wooden house and found a flat, open area at the easternmost edge of the valley, backed by a large mountain. She dug a grave and buried the owner of the wooden house.
"Senior, I came in a hurry this time. I will definitely burn some paper money for you next time I come. Rest in peace." Xiao Li bowed and left.
Next to the wooden house was a small medicinal herb garden, where some common herbs were planted. If Xiao Jiu hadn't spotted it, Xiao Li would have thought they were just weeds.
There were just too many weeds, making them difficult to dig up, but that didn't stop Xiao Jiu. He picked out the usable ones and transplanted them all into his spatial medicine field. The spatial medicine field was full of spiritual herbs, but there weren't any common herbs.
"Master, that cave is in the back." Xiao Yuan led Xiao Li towards the back of the valley.
This valley is a wonderful place; it's rare to find such a large, flat area, with a small river running alongside it. If it weren't so remote, it would be a great place to live.
There was a hidden path on the back mountain, which took about fifteen minutes to walk. Then we came to a cave. The entrance was low, but once inside, we found it to be quite spacious. There were actually three more entrances, each with a path leading further in.
"Master, stay close to me, I'll take you there." Xiao Yuan led the way, calling out to her master, "Don't go the wrong way, there are many forks in the road inside, if you get lost, you won't be able to come back."
Xiao Li nodded as she took out a torch, lit it, and followed.
"I was so lucky today, I didn't run into that stinky tiger. Otherwise, we would definitely have had a fight." Xiao Yuan was eager to try again. "Now that stinky tiger definitely can't beat me, but I can't beat it either."
"Xiao Yuan, who is that stinky tiger? Do you have a grudge against it?" Xiao Li had heard this name several times before.
"It's not that we have a grudge, this is its territory. We used to come here to pick pine cones, and it bullied us a lot," Xiaoyuan said angrily.
The path was winding and twisting. After walking for another quarter of an hour, passing many forks in the road, we finally arrived at a wide little cave.
A dozen or so wooden crates were piled up on the open ground. As usual, Xiao Li wrapped her hands in cloth and opened each crate one by one. One of the crates had a broken piece. It must be the crate that Xiao Yuan had taken things from last time.
