The Emperor's arrival surprised Prince Jin. Luo Chaoxi disguised himself as a eunuch, lowered his head, and followed Murong Ling into Prince Jin's residence.

"Why has Your Majesty come?"

Murong Ling said, "It's been a long time since I've been back. I happen to have some free time today, so I've come here for a cup of tea."

Prince Jin, however, thought differently. He believed that his elder brother had come to understand his performance in court recently, to see if he had formed cliques or factions.

Murong Ling ordered a chessboard to be set out and sat opposite Prince Jin. Prince Jin was extremely uneasy, but the emperor only asked ordinary questions. After the two played for a while, a servant came to report.
