Qinglang Mountain is located next to City A and is famous throughout China for its beautiful scenery.

Ning Xiong was very efficient. He granted Lin Zhenzhen and Tan Bei a week's leave in one go, and even brought the president of the Prosecutor's Committee along to skip class and go out with them.

Lin Zhenzhen prepared four suitcases of clothes for just one week on the mountain.

From head to toe, everything they eat and wear, they even thoughtfully prepared a cooling outfit for Ultraman.

Ning Xiong rubbed his head and then specially arranged for a car to carry all her luggage.

In contrast, Tan Bei's situation was much simpler. He only had a black briefcase containing a change of clothes and his laptop.

The two families agreed to meet at the scenic area, so the four people plus a dog set off directly from Ning's house.

They were traveling in a seven-seater van. Lin Zhenzhen and Ning Xiong were in the second row, Chen Shuang and her son were in the third row, and Ultraman was escorted in a separate vehicle.

On the way, Ning Xiong brought up the valuable diamond that Bai Qingfeng had given him again.

“I’ve watched Qingfeng grow up. His character is impeccable, and he’s completely devoted to you.” He smiled and looked Lin Zhenzhen up and down. “Your Uncle Bai once told me that if the children from both families like each other, they should get engaged first. I said you’re still young and should wait two more years. Now it seems that it’s better to settle things sooner rather than later.”

Upon hearing his words, Lin Zhenzhen immediately retorted sweetly, "I'm a daddy's girl, and I'll stay by my daddy's side forever, to be your sweet little cotton-padded jacket for life."

Ning Xiong laughed heartily at her coaxing and teased her, "What will you do when your Brother Bai falls in love with someone else and marries another woman?"

"Brother Bai would never do that, he only likes me."

Compared to their constant laughter, Chen Shuang and Tan Bei in the back seat were much more silent. From getting on the bus to getting off, they didn't exchange a single word.

The vehicle drove into the Baijia Resort Area and stopped outside a two-story villa.

Bai Qingfeng, dressed casually, was waiting for them outside the door.

After a quick tidy-up, the group prepared to go to the yard for a BBQ. Lin Zhenzhen hated the smell of smoke, so she volunteered to take Ultraman to the toilet, ostensibly to familiarize himself with the environment.

She led the dog to an open meadow, and seeing that no one was around, she simply let go of the leash and let Ultraman run around and play freely.

Lin Zhenzhen never expected to run into Ji Leng here.

"What bad luck! How come I run into you everywhere?" Ji Leng wasn't wearing makeup and looked much more haggard than before.

Lin Zhenzhen glanced at the other person, ignored her, and continued to play with her phone.

Seeing that she was ignoring her, Ji Leng got angry and stepped forward to straighten Lin Zhenzhen's shoulders, forcing her to change direction.

"Ning Zhen, can't you hear me talking to you?"

Lin Zhenzhen stared coldly at her hand, suddenly remembering that the last person who dared to grab her had already misplaced their hand.

"You'd better let go now. For Brother Bai's sake, I might let it go."

"Don't try to intimidate me with my brother!" Ji Leng's face darkened even more upon hearing Bai Qingfeng's name. It was all Ning Zhen's fault; not only had he lost face at the birthday banquet, but his cousin had also reported him.

Not only did she lose three months' allowance, but her father also sent her to this godforsaken place to "reflect."

"You're just like your mother, a shameless bitch and a thief!"

Lin Zhenzhen's gaze suddenly turned icy. She slowly stood up, her tone like that of a demon emerging from hell.

"Say it again?"

Ning Zhen's Achilles' heel is her deceased mother.

She and Ning Xiong fell in love and became pregnant out of wedlock, giving birth to a daughter. She was only nineteen years old that year. After being kicked out of the house by her parents while heavily pregnant, she had no source of income and had no choice but to rely on her aunt for a while.

"Aaaaaaah!"

Lin Zhenzhen grabbed her hair, pulled her, and slammed her hard against the tree.

One, two, three.

Ji Leng felt a burning pain on his scalp, as if his skull had been ripped open and he was about to lose all feeling.

After bumping her three times, Lin Zhenzhen twisted the back of her head, looked her straight in the eyes, and said, "Are you clear-headed now?"

Countless dark shadows mixed with golden stars floated past Ji Leng's eyes, and she seemed to feel some warm liquid flowing down her forehead.

"Help! Someone, come save me!"

Her cry for help finally alerted the bodyguard in the distance, who, seeing that something was wrong, immediately ran over.

When he arrived, Ji Leng had already been forced to kneel down by Lin Zhenzhen and kowtow three times.

"I apologized to my mom, and she's kind-hearted and forgave you. But I'm different; I have a bad temper."

After saying that, Lin Zhenzhen kicked Ji Leng in the shoulder, knocking her to the ground.

"I'm a year older than you, so I'm practically your older sister. I should teach you some manners. Today's lesson is to shut your stinking mouth! Stop barking all day long!"

Ji Leng fell backward to the ground, clutching his forehead. When he looked down, he saw it was covered in scarlet blood and immediately broke down screaming.

"Ning Zhen, I'll kill you!" She shoved the bodyguard beside her violently. "Grab her, I'm going to slap her!"

The bodyguard stood still. He recognized the woman before him as Miss Ning, a notoriously arrogant woman from City A. The disputes between wealthy families were not something a lowly bodyguard like himself could get involved in.
