Chapter 110 Interstellar Glory (Part Twelve)

She secretly tugged at Effie's sleeve and pleaded softly, "You can't just stand by and watch someone die."

She was innocent and kind, and Effie didn't want her to see her cold side, so she gritted her teeth and reached out to support the man. The handsome young man's eyes lit up, and he shouted even louder, pressing his body against Effie's shoulders as if all his bones had been broken. Shen Wangshu laughed heartily, finding it very amusing, and followed Effie's back, chattering, "Are you and Sith very good friends, sister?"

Space pirates are all outlaws, what's a rib to them? They're just playing the victim in front of Effie.

In a real battle, even if all his ribs were broken, this man wouldn't be moved in the slightest.

"So-so," Effie said patiently.

“We met when we were teenagers, and it’s been seventy years now,” Sith said softly from the side.

When the topic of age came up, Shen Wangshu couldn't help but laugh. Looking at her 85-year-old sister, she said with a smile, "They really are childhood sweethearts."

“Childhood sweethearts,” Sith continued with a smile. He found the blonde girl rather adorable; her sweet tongue was always saying things he wanted to hear.

So he reached into his pocket and pulled out a pretty little metal pouch, tossing it into the girl's hands. Seeing the girl happily holding the pouch like a little hamster, looking up at him innocently, he said even more kindly, "A little gift, ah!" Although he was smiling, he looked like he was in pain, clearly indicating that the contents of the pouch were quite valuable.

Shen Wangshu opened it with great interest and took out dozens of transparent stones the size of pearls.

“The highest grade energy stone, one of which can power a warship for a hundred days of interstellar travel,” Sith said to Effie with a smile.

Shen Wangshu silently put away her small bag, and sensibly lifted it up and handed it to her older sister.

It's obviously for her older sister, otherwise why would a little girl like her need the energy stones from a warship?

Effie casually took the medicine, glanced coldly at Sith who was smiling at her, and patiently went down to the living room. She tossed him onto the sofa, ignoring his feigned cries of pain. She fetched some medicine and tossed it to him, applying it vigorously before saying indifferently, "You've come to see me and know I'm doing well. You can leave now."

Her face was utterly cold, and under the gaze of Sith's narrow, somewhat alluring eyes, she said indifferently, "Don't come again. I have no interest in you."

Sith chuckled and asked in a low voice, "You really want to get rid of me that badly?"

Effie looked at him calmly and said indifferently, "I won't like anyone." To like someone means to have a weakness.

She didn't want to create another weakness for herself.

.

She didn't want to give birth to more people besides Field and her sister for another man.

“I’m not planning to leave anytime soon.” The pirate captain, clearly shameless, shook Effie’s hand and said with a smile, “Your lieutenants are disloyal, how can I leave in peace? How about I become your lieutenant?”

Although he was smiling, there was no mockery in his eyes, only seriousness; he clearly intended to stay. But that was a fatal flaw, wasn't it? Who would dare use a pirate captain still on the wanted list as their adjutant? Could he even survive? Shen Wangshu's lips twitched subtly; he thought Sith was being a bit delusional.

Isn't this insane?

If the pirate captain stood next to Effie, both of them would be thrown into a federal prison.

“No need, I have a candidate for adjutant,” Effie refused decisively.

Shen Wangshu only hoped that the person chosen wasn't the pitiful senior student, Ke Li.

This is truly an innocent victim of collateral damage.

The blonde girl's little head was churning with a lot of complaints, but her gaze was even more innocent, her face like that of a naive little angel. Sith glanced at her, feeling even more sorry for Effie's hard work, and continued, "If you're worried about my identity, I assure you, I absolutely won't cause you any trouble."

Hearing Aifei's cold laugh, he subtly snuggled closer to her and whispered, "You're too unreliable. I still want to stay by your side." He looked up at her quietly and said softly, "If it weren't for... your world wouldn't be limited to this Federation."

Effie's gaze was somewhat deep, as if she were thinking of a very, very long time ago.

At that time... she was still a young and ambitious young lady of the Field family. With her father, mother and brothers still around, she did not have the pressure of taking charge of the family.

How much she loved freedom back then!

She loved to explore the starry sky in her spaceship, to explore planets that were either advanced or primitive, and to laugh and chat with other interstellar travelers. She was full of youthful vigor and thought that she would spend her whole life wandering in this starry sky, enjoying the freedom and happiness she loved most.

She had survived the most brutal pirate wars and been chased by all sorts of strange creatures on the planet. Her only companion was this man watching her. They were both youngest children in their families, not required to bear any responsibility, only to be responsible for themselves.

Like-minded.

She aspires to be the best interstellar traveler, while he dreams of being a daring pirate, robbing the rich to help the poor.

He may have achieved his dream, but her dream was destroyed in war after war.

“I’ve long forgotten.” Effie coldly pushed Sith into the sofa, stood up and said indifferently.
