Please collect my column~~~~~ Behind every passionate and earth-shattering love story, there are countless cannon fodders.
Shen Wangshu, who has been transmigrating into cannon fodder in ever...
Song Xi was a heartless scoundrel.
She was born into poverty, and even her school fees were paid with the help of her parents, yet she watched helplessly as her parents died.
However, this time, she certainly wouldn't let Song Xi off so easily.
Shen Wangshu walked quickly to the hidden warehouse, took out the key and opened the door. He saw that the huge warehouse was filled with all kinds of supplies.
She glanced up at the mountain of food, then patiently stored everything into her spatial ring. Although she moved quickly, a considerable amount of time passed by the time she collected the last axe. She took out a short, sharp machete from her spatial ring, wielded it briefly, and decided it suited her well, providing protection against any unexpected events, before finally leaving the storeroom.
She thought for a moment and then locked the warehouse again.
If Song Xi is unwilling to give up and wants to go inside to see if there are any supplies left, it will likely take a lot of time if she doesn't have the key.
She hesitated for a long time as she left along the aisle, and still did not take away the goods in the supermarket. Instead, she only took away half of the chewing gum and mints piled up next to the aisle.
Her spatial ring was well-stocked with supplies; if it were just her, Ning's parents, and their newly arrived savior, it would take at least several years to use them all. Since the supplies were plentiful, why would she take them all away, leaving no hope for others?
Shen Wangshu didn't want to think about the devastation and despair of survivors who had overcome countless hardships to break through the zombies and enter the mall, only to find the supermarket completely empty. Perhaps she was being a bit too saintly, but she didn't dislike this version of herself. Song Xi had returned from the apocalypse, and whatever was lacking there, she had already had Ning Rou provide it all.
She even bought three hundred boxes of toilet paper, and Shen Wangshu really didn't feel like she was lacking anything.
Leave a way out for others.
She took the chewing gum simply because she was worried that water would become scarce and people wouldn't brush their teeth as often, resulting in bad breath.
She popped a piece of chewing gum into her mouth and ran quickly down the passageway, encountering no zombies along the way. She rushed into her parked car and started the engine, only to see her phone flashing. Worried that the sound would attract zombies, she had already silenced her phone. Turning her head, she saw it was Song Xi calling her. She chuckled, saying nothing and not answering. Song Xi was probably testing the waters, just like when she called Ning's parents. If someone answered, it meant they were still alive.
If no one answers, then the person is dead.
At this point, Ning Rou should still trust her friend, so of course she wouldn't doubt her or refuse to answer her calls.
If she didn't accept it, Song Xi should have realized that she was dead and could take over her space and supplies.
I hope Song Xi will come soon.
At that point, there won't be a single car with a full tank of gas parked outside the emergency exit for her to escape.
Shen Wangshu tossed her phone aside, letting it vibrate, and started the car, speeding out of the mall's parking lot. By this time, the streets were in chaos. Although the mall was located in the bustling city center, there was a side road that led directly to the Ning family's villa in the suburbs.
Shen Wangshu dared not drive on the side road, fearing that other vehicles would block her way and she wouldn't be able to back up. She went onto the main road and drove recklessly until all the haphazardly parked cars in front of her were crashed into the sides of the road, and even her own windshield was shattered. Only then did she return home in a sorry state.
The Ning family villa is located in the suburbs.
This is a large villa area, with wide gaps between each other and not many people.
Shen Wangshu rushed out of the city center and returned here, knowing that he had finally escaped.
She hurriedly called home, watching the electronic gate slowly open and a few scattered zombies staggering towards her. She quickly drove in and told her family to close the gate.
The car broke down completely as soon as it entered the house, and Shen Wangshu felt a cold sweat running down her back.
She had no idea how many cars she had crashed. Luckily, her car was very sturdy; otherwise, if it had broken down, she would have had to drive home in an abandoned car from the side of the road.
Getting off the bus in a city teeming with zombies would be tantamount to suicide. She thought Song Xi was truly insane; just to kill Ning Rou, he'd chosen the city center as the location for the supplies, wasn't he afraid of dying alongside Ning Rou? She wiped the cold sweat from her brow and hurried into the villa, only to see Ning's mother rushing out.
Ning's mother was not young; her hair was streaked with gray, and her eyes were red and swollen, seemingly because she was worried about her daughter. She also looked much more haggard.
Seeing Shen Wangshu standing at the door smiling at her, Ning's mother's gaze fell on her blood-stained dress, and she immediately burst into tears.
"I'm fine, this is someone else's blood." Shen Wangshu looked gently at Ning's mother, who was shedding tears in front of him.
This was Ning Rou's mother. She had replaced Ning Rou, so she had to be filial to her just like Ning Rou was. She didn't dislike this kind of affection. She stepped forward and touched Ning Rou's mother's arm, only to see her mother hug her tightly, seemingly unconcerned about the bloodstains on her body. When she was held in this mother's arms, her eyes were somewhat dazed, and she thought of the contented happiness she felt when she was held by her mother and Lü Ke in the past.
"I'm back, Mom," she whispered, burying her face in her mother's hair.
Ning's mother immediately burst into tears.
When Ning's mother learned that chaos had broken out outside and that people were resorting to cannibalism, she nearly collapsed.
She thought, what's the point of me being alive if something happens to my only daughter?
