A certain woman, for some inexplicable reason, became bound to an arrogant and deceptive system. She transmigrates into the bodies of cannon fodder characters in various worlds, fulfilling their wi...
Hiss—
Enraged, the giant python swept its tail, knocking both motorcycles off their feet. Xiang Wan and the others were thrown into the air and landed beneath the giant ant.
The smell of burning flesh attracted many giant beasts. Before Xiang Wan and the others could react, a rumbling tremor grew louder and louder. The giant ants that had been digging in the ground suddenly turned around and lunged at the giant python.
The giant python, in pain, rolled over, stirring up countless clods of earth.
The giant ant didn't care about any of that; it clamped its mandibles around the python's body and wouldn't let go, its body spinning around incessantly.
The giant python kept twisting and turning, its tail tightly binding the giant ant in an attempt to escape.
Ants have a layer of armor on their bodies, and they can grow larger than snakes, so you can imagine how tough they are. After writhing for a while, the python stopped moving and let the giant ant bite it in two.
All around were bright red eyes fixed on them, but they dared not make a move because of the giant ant's size. Even so, some fearless ones rushed over and bit the snake by the tail.
"Click-clack-clack-clack—"
The giant ant loosened its massive mandibles and cried out towards the sky.
The tremors beneath our feet grew more and more pronounced, and soon five or six monstrous ants appeared to be gathering in our direction.
"Oh no, we need to climb onto the giant ant quickly."
With nowhere to escape and unable to fall directly into the mouths of those giant beasts, Xiang Wan urged everyone to climb onto the giant ant.
To the giant ants, Xiang Wan and the others were just tiny insects that could be ignored. The insects crawled onto their backs without them noticing for a while.
The four chose the ant's leg closest to them, climbed up using the bristles, and hid on the inside of the ant's leg.
Some giant beasts that couldn't dodge in time were blocked on their way by the giant ants and had their bellies ripped open.
The scene was too bloody, and Xiang Wan tightly covered George's eyes.
Watching giant ants feed takes courage.
Fortunately, they ate quickly, finishing in just an hour. They left behind a pile of remains for the giant beasts that followed to devour.
The giant ants crawled forward, and Xiang Wan guessed that they were probably heading back to their nest.
The anthill isn't actually far from the mouse hole. But if you actually get into the anthill, you probably won't be able to get out for a while.
Taking advantage of the moment when the giant ant stopped to explore with its antennae, the four of them jumped into the mud.
The giant rats all went out to forage for food. After walking for half an hour, Xiang Wan and the others finally arrived at their destination.
The ventilation shaft of Genesis was closed at some point; it must have been Song Yang who did it.
Rang opened the disc, while Xiang Wan went to the group of baby mice, patted their heads, and then chopped off their heads with a single stroke. Squeaks echoed from the mouse hole. Xiang Wan picked up the baby mouse's head and threw it at Rang's feet.
It almost broke the lever.
"Are you serious?"
Xiang Wan shrugged, signaling him to quickly open the disc.
The mother mouse was on her way back to the nest when she arrived, only to find that all the baby mice had been beheaded.
"Squeak—squeak—"
The mother rat roared incessantly, and even from dozens of meters away, one could still sense her agitated state.
After entering the ventilation shaft, Xiang Wan casually closed the entrance.
Song Yang was already waiting downstairs, but he was somewhat disappointed not to see any acquaintances besides Xiang Wan and George.
Xiang Wan walked over and patted him on the shoulder, everything was understood without words.
The creation of Genesis nearly hollowed out the entire interior of Crimson Star, demonstrating its immense size. Yet, this experimental base was completely deserted, and the further one walked, the more unsettling it became.
Xiang Wan led Song Yang and the others into the Genesis World a whole day ago, but they still haven't reached the very center.
There's a fast elevator here, but when the experimental base was shut down, all energy was compressed to the very center of the laboratory, leaving no other energy to maintain the operation of the base's equipment. Even walking, or taking the shortcut with the system's assistance, Xiang Wan still hadn't seen the end.
Takagi's eyes were filled with fanaticism as he looked at the surrounding buildings, as if he were looking at a piece of fat meat waiting to be slaughtered.
"Lassie, what do you mean by three days?"
George, being led by Xiang Wan, broke the silence around him.
The passageway was dark and quiet, and the silence was indeed somewhat oppressive.
"What three days? Are you playing a riddle?" some complained.
Ever since Xiang Wan threw the baby mouse's head in front of him, he has felt extremely uncomfortable in her presence.
Xiang Wan smiled and said, "Three days from now, we will be the only surviving humans on this planet."
"..."
He was so shocked that he didn't expect a young girl like Xiang Wan to say such alarming things; she was even better at bragging than him.
"Why……?"
Rose initially considered asking why she hadn't saved more people, but then realized that the other woman was even younger than her, and it was already quite an achievement that she had brought them this far. If she were to ask anything else, it would be going too far.
"Takagi, you should be able to guess it easily."
Takagi, whose thoughts had been interrupted by Xiang Wan, lowered his head and calmly said, "Animals need enormous energy to grow rapidly. Usually, the most direct way is through food. If the entire Red Star is filled with mutated animals, how can humans have any space to survive? Three days is the limit of the best-case scenario. After three days, the giant beasts will devour each other, and the ecological environment that humans previously simulated will be completely destroyed. In the end, what will remain will be ant colonies that can eat everything. If they can't find food, they will gnaw the entire planet to pieces, and even the place we are in now, it's unknown whether it can survive until they go extinct..."
