A certain woman, for some inexplicable reason, became bound to an arrogant and deceptive system. She transmigrates into the bodies of cannon fodder characters in various worlds, fulfilling their wi...
This was an outcome she hadn't anticipated, and it wasn't within the original owner's memory. Perhaps, in her previous life, after the original owner was tricked and killed, all the creatures in the sea became victims of Master's machinations, ultimately allowing Water Tiger to realize his ambitions.
Or perhaps it was her intervention in this life that caused Master to appear ahead of schedule, but now she has no way to stop it and can only watch helplessly as it wreaks havoc on the seabed.
A sense of desolation flowed from the depths of her heart, as if something was about to break free and struggle to emerge.
Old Clam suddenly turned around and said to Xiang Wan, "Go find the Sirens!"
A sudden gush of water shot out from the old clam's mouth, carrying Xiang Wan far away. She watched helplessly as the old clam flapped its shell, tightly clamping Master's head, and as its body tumbled and crashed on the seabed.
The old clam that had accompanied her as she grew up, acted as her protector, and allowed her to come and go as she pleased, the place that had witnessed countless years and made Xiang Wan a writer, let out a mournful cry under the impact of Master.
Xiang Wan silently bid farewell to the old clam in her heart and quickly went to the Siren's side. His situation was not optimistic either.
The swordfish and marlin, after once again embedding their sharp barbs into the hull, could no longer pull them out. Then, in Xiang Wan's view, they were slowly frozen to the bottom of the boat, starting from the top, emanating a chilling aura.
The sirens were caught off guard by this situation. In their stunned silence, they heard the water tiger's voice coming from above, echoing in all directions.
"Siren, if you don't show up soon, they will all be buried with you!"
Xiang Wan and Siren exchanged a glance, then split up. She thawed the frozen fish at the bottom of the boat, while Siren went to calm the water tiger.
After consuming the ice beads, the speed at which it absorbed the cold air increased significantly. The swordfish and sailfish were rescued, and Xiang Wan let them leave on their own, leaving only Gududu clinging to the bottom of the boat.
This ship wasn't immune to leaks; rather, it had a buffer layer after it was breached, which explains why it wasn't afraid of seawater flowing back into those small holes.
With its enormous size, it would be impossible for Gudu to squeeze in, but Xiang Wan could use this to carve out an opening and crawl in.
She used an icicle to make a hole wide enough for one person, and after swimming inside, there was another thick barrier. Xiang Wan didn't break through it directly, but instead found a narrow gap and swam in from the other end.
There was an overturned empty compartment at the bottom of the ship. There was nothing inside except a black, coffin-like object attached to the keel. It was covered with intricate patterns, and a chill emanated from it.
The coffin that was specially carried by the water tiger must contain something very important.
Xiang Wan conjured a crowbar, thin at one end and thick at the other, and inserted it into the lid of the coffin.
Outside, directly opposite the bow of the ship, Water Tiger looked down at the Sirens emerging from the sea, his eyes filled with mockery, ridicule, and a hint of pity.
The siren stared at him expressionlessly, letting the seawater pound against his chest, refusing to utter a single word to the water tiger.
Shuihu laughed, his mental energy fluctuating violently, and even Xiang Wan heard what he said to the Sirens.
"So many years have passed, Sirens, and you're still the only mermaid left, aren't you? You haven't forgotten what I told you back then, have you? Humans are the true masters of the world. And you're just struggling in your death throes. Ji Yuan saw your future, which is why she abandoned the darkness and turned to the light. Stop making pointless sacrifices. Join me, and perhaps I can spare your life."
Siren's eyes turned cold; he couldn't believe the person before him could be so shameless.
Ji Yuan saved his life out of kindness. Unexpectedly, he lured her ashore, took out her mermaid heart, and completely transformed into a human.
Mermaids who no longer possess a mermaid heart will fall into a permanent slumber after giving birth to a child, unless another mermaid heart awakens them.
Originally, Siren had this idea: even at the cost of his own life, he would protect Ji Yuan. But when he saw the abandoned baby in the sea, he understood that the Water Tiger never left any trouble for himself, not even his own flesh and blood.
He thought Ji Yuan had been deceived, and that he could forgive her for everything once she realized her mistake. But the appearance of the abyssal monster Master shattered his hopes. To help the Water Tiger, Ji Yuan had actually handed over the ocean's last guardian beast, even revealing how to control it. No matter Ji Yuan's reasons, he would never forgive her!
"Did you see that? No matter how huge the sea monster is, it's just a crawling worm that can't go ashore. It has no intelligence and only kills indiscriminately to fill its belly. Your so-called guardian beast is nothing more than a giant, mindless worm. When there are no more creatures in the ocean that can threaten humans, do you think I would still keep you, the last mermaid, as a memento? The taste of loneliness is not pleasant, is it? Hahahaha..."
As Shuihu spoke, he burst into laughter, laughing until tears streamed down his face.
He hated the merfolk. If it weren't for their physical condition, how could Ji Yuan have fallen into a deep sleep?
When he first set sail and saw that beautiful mermaid in the boundless darkness, he knew he had fallen for her. Despite repeatedly warning himself that she was just a mermaid, not a human, he still couldn't help but fall hopelessly in love with her.
He tried every possible way to make her human so that she could spend her life with him.
He succeeded in turning Ji Yuan into a completely human being, but why did their relationship end after they had a child?
Her face remained beautiful, and her body showed no change; she seemed to be simply asleep, lying there quietly.
