A certain woman, for some inexplicable reason, became bound to an arrogant and deceptive system. She transmigrates into the bodies of cannon fodder characters in various worlds, fulfilling their wi...
There are always so many excuses for murder! There's always a reason to be found!
Xiang Wan's aura surged, and she decided to hold back no longer!
Suddenly, a rumbling sound resounded through the sky, the ground began to shake violently, and an ancient and weathered sound pierced through the eardrums, shaking people's hearts.
"Festival!"
The sky had become overcast with dark clouds, churning and billowing, and a chilling atmosphere filled the air. The ground shook more and more violently, cracks appeared on the surface, and the small fissures gradually widened, revealing dark fissures from which a strong, pungent smell of blood emanated.
Caught off guard, many of the creatures and cultivators standing on the ground fell into the cracks, screaming and howling as they plummeted to their deaths. Their fall was abrupt, as if they had been swallowed up by something.
Those still flying in the air swayed precariously, either blown off by the fishy wind through the gaps and falling into the abyss, or their bodies became unstable and were blown up and down like rootless duckweed, drifting with the current.
The spot where Xiang Wan stood happened to be right next to the crevice.
Some of Qinghua's female disciples protected her and retreated to the side, while others, harboring malicious intentions, wanted to take this opportunity to push Xiang Wan down. How could Xiang Wan allow them to do as they wished? Even Qinghua couldn't do anything to her, let alone these disciples whose cultivation was inferior to hers?
After Xiang Wan repeated the scene of trying to push someone but being pushed herself instead, the remaining people dared not make any more moves.
The cracks continued to widen, and the ground was split into countless pieces, gradually rising upwards, as if something was supporting it from below.
The forest gradually collapsed, and countless monsters roared as they jumped into the crevice.
I thought what I saw outside the ruins was already shocking enough, but what emerged from the mud was even more chilling.
Worms as big as small mountains, arthropods with eyes all over their bodies, vine-like creatures with several human-like heads on their heads, bloodthirsty worms the size of a palm, reptiles with only antennae and sharp teeth, brightly colored one-legged iridescent birds, and monsters with huge mouths that roar to the heavens...
One of them alone is terrifying, and all of them together are enough to drive a person crazy!
Fortunately, as soon as they appeared, they were as if isolated by a barrier, and as the mutation continued, they were squeezed and pushed outward.
Looking around, the fragmented pieces of ground were rising at varying speeds. The area quickly being covered by ruins was already more than ten feet higher than the surrounding area, and from there, it rose in a stepped fashion.
Standing here in the evening, not far from there, looking at the ground that was once connected, now high and low, all living beings except cultivators either fell into the cracks or were squeezed and pushed outwards at high speed by the invisible barrier, and his heart was filled with mixed feelings.
"Are they being rejected?" Xiang Wan thought to herself, when she suddenly realized that among those rejected beings were cultivators.
"master!"
The female disciple standing on the same ground as Xiang Wan suddenly screamed and desperately pulled at Qinghua, but she couldn't stop the force that was repelling her. Several unprepared women fell into the crevice during the struggle and were instantly swallowed by the foul wind.
"Let go! Your master is no longer one of us!" Bai Siyuan shouted, instantly waking up those who were trying to save Qinghua.
They looked around and saw that, besides Qinghua, there were a few other people being ostracized and unable to stop them, so they had no choice but to let go.
As soon as they let go, the blue and white porcelain vanished from sight.
"Guard your mind, preserve your life, and you will return as a hero. So that's what the Lord of Blue Mountain meant!"
Those that were taken away either absorbed the monster's inner core or were parasitized by those things.
But why are the red ball and the little cloud dream beast unharmed?
Xiang Wan pondered for a moment, then patted the red ball's head and used her divine sense to check on the little Yunmeng Beast that was still fast asleep in the spirit beast pouch. She had some doubts, but she didn't dwell on them anymore, because the strange movements on the ground quickly stopped.
Immediately afterwards, the ground beneath her feet began to roll downwards.
As dusk fell, it leaped up and flew to the highest point.
Once the disturbances beneath the ground stabilized, the air that seeped through the cracks was no longer a foul wind, but rather an unknown substance that replaced spiritual energy and quickly filled the entire sky.
Some people are hesitating, wondering whether they should fly upwards or roll down with the ground beneath their feet.
Seeing that Xiang Wan reacted immediately, Bai Siyuan frowned and followed.
Where are you going?
Xiang Wan didn't even turn her head. "The highest point."
"How did you know...?"
Before he could finish speaking, he saw the cultivator rolling down the ground and letting out a terrible scream, and he immediately shut up.
The rolling ground disappeared into the air after falling down one step, without even having a chance to fall to the next level.
However, those flying upwards from the next level, or those hovering in the air without moving, were unharmed.
Those who survived surely understood that some kind of rule was driving them upwards.
Xiang Wan was surprised for a moment, but continued moving.
She just instinctively felt that it would be safer up there, she never expected it to turn out like this!
As the foothold vanished, the things rising below gradually revealed their full form.
Centered on the ruins, it descends in a stepped fashion, like a pyramid, but much larger.
Each step is hundreds of meters higher than the one above, creating a majestic yet imposing presence that gives one a suffocating feeling.
Upon closer inspection, these steps are all covered with intricate patterns, each one different.
The exposed steps were pure black, so dark they shimmered with an eerie glow. Up close, it seemed one could see the imprisoned souls roaring within.
Xiang Wan dared not linger or get too close, and kept flying upwards until she saw a platform less than 100 meters square at the very top, on which stood an enormous seat.
