A certain woman, for some inexplicable reason, became bound to an arrogant and deceptive system. She transmigrates into the bodies of cannon fodder characters in various worlds, fulfilling their wi...
"Sorry for the traffic, I'm a bit late. Let me introduce you, this is Feng Bo, a top hypnotist, and an old classmate of mine. We happened to run into each other today, so I brought him along to meet you. You don't mind, do you?"
Liu Yude pushed open the door and introduced Xiang Wan to a crew-cut man dressed casually with a friendly demeanor.
Xiang Wan gave him a meaningful look, then stood up and shook hands with Feng Bo.
She wasn't an uncouth person; getting to know more people wouldn't cost her anything.
Whether Liu Yude acted first and informed her later was more out of agreement with her suggestion or because he felt threatened after Xiang Wan had shown him the note, it doesn't affect Xiang Wan's actions today.
"Miss Xiang, please forgive my intrusion. I am genuinely curious as to what other methods, besides hypnosis, could allow someone to know about their past and present lives."
As a hypnotist, I'm also a little worried about Yu De's safety, because according to him, Miss Xiang has never had any advanced training in this area. If Miss Xiang can truly achieve what you've said, I'm willing to provide you with unconditional financial and other support; investment is also possible.”
Feng Bo's words opened up new ideas for Xiang Wan.
Prior to this, she had never considered collaborating with anyone else.
It seems that Liu Yude does indeed have this idea, provided that Xiang Wan can succeed.
The three of them took their seats, and the waiter served some tea before leaving.
The tea was clear and bright, but Xiang Wan didn't drink it.
She took a sip from her water glass and said to the two of them, “Generally speaking, hypnosis requires an extremely quiet environment, meaning that no third person is allowed to watch or make noise. But I’m different because this isn’t hypnosis, and it may not be of any help to Mr. Feng. However, since you’re here, you can witness the truth of what Manager Liu said. Perhaps you’ll find it very interesting.”
Liu Yude frowned and pondered for a moment, about to say something, when Xiang Wan interrupted him, "I know what you're worried about. I can record the whole thing and guarantee it won't be leaked. This is just an experimental live stream. Manager Liu, you'll be fully conscious the whole time, and Mr. Feng is the audience. If anything seems amiss, he can interrupt us."
She's already made a promise; if anything else were to happen while she's fully conscious, then Xiang Wan wouldn't be human, but a god.
To ensure things went smoothly, Xiang Wan had Liu Yude write down the questions that only he knew the answers to on paper, so that the truth could be verified later.
After finalizing some details, Feng Bo locked the door to the private room, and Xiang Wan sat opposite Liu Yude, officially beginning the meeting.
She stared intently into Liu Yude's eyes, her voice soft yet rhythmic.
"Relax, calm down. What you see is not me, but your entire life. From the moment you were born until you uttered your first word, you were happy. Tell me, what do you see?"
Liu Yude's eyes began to glaze over, as if he could see through the evening light the childhood memories he had once sealed away.
"The doctor...she said I was very healthy...the nurse with the mask on...the warm water...my mother's smiling face..."
Like telling a story, Liu Yude recounted every warm, frightening, memorable, and overlooked detail from his childhood to adulthood. He even explained how he met Feng Bo.
Feng Bo stood aside, observing carefully without disturbing the two, but his heart was filled with turbulent emotions.
Without any physical contact or other movements, just by looking at him and saying a few words, he made him talk about things he might not have been able to recall when he was awake. In his mind, this was something beyond hypnosis; there must be something else involved.
But he watched the whole thing and only felt that Xiang Wan's voice was very pleasant to listen to.
After recounting his life story, Xiang Wan began to ask Liu Yude to recall where he was before he became conscious in his mother's womb.
“It was very dark and gloomy, and there were many children, all choosing their mothers. I used to live in a place with mountains and rivers, where many trees grew and it snowed all year round. My parents and brother often went out hunting… I got married, had a child, and when I took him out, we encountered an avalanche… It was so painful… I’m not reconciled… If I’m gone, what will happen to my wife?” As he spoke, Liu Yude burst into tears.
Where is your hometown? What are the names of your parents and relatives?
“Rochester…Quinn, Megan, Watt…”
"Alright, you're back. The past is the past. You're happy now, you have a wonderful family, what more could you want?"
"...I feel lost. I want to make money, lots and lots of money. I'll soon lose my job; everyone's looking for a way out. I want to quit, I don't want to do it anymore, I really don't want to do it anymore... It's too dangerous..."
"you……"
"Miss Xiang, that's enough, alright."
After all that buildup, we were about to get to the main point when Feng Bo interrupted at the opportune moment.
Xiang Wan shrugged, ending the questioning.
Watching the video, Liu Yude's expression was complex and hard to read. Especially when he almost revealed his secret at the end, he broke out in a cold sweat.
Xiang Wan comforted him, "Don't be nervous. These were recorded with your phone. Whether you want to delete them or keep them is entirely up to you."
After glancing at the video again, Liu Yude still didn't delete it, but the look in his eyes as he looked at Xiang Wan became extremely complicated.
If this is what it means to know one's past and present lives, then the people "interviewed" by Xiang Wan probably won't reveal any secrets.
