Chapter 236 Cannon Fodder Patient Becomes a Healer 13

"Miss, are you alright?" the nurse ran over and asked worriedly.

"Thank goodness! Who is this gentleman?!" Sui Yi felt completely bewildered. Why was this man looking at her like she was prey? His bloodshot eyes and endless abyss of blood were eerie.

"Uh, he's a patient from the sixth floor, I don't know how he ended up down here," the nurse explained.

"Sixth floor?"

"Yes, it is..." Before she could finish speaking, the man struggled, his eyes fixed on Suiyi as if he wanted to devour her alive.

When did I offend this guy? Why does he look at me like I'm his enemy?

"Um, please call this number to let me know when Dr. Long returns, thank you!"

Sui Yi handed a note to the nurse. She glanced at the man one last time before turning and leaving.

When the man saw Sui Yi turn to leave, he struggled even more fiercely, his eyes fixed on her.

As she walked out of the mental hospital, Sui Yi shrugged. She was indeed mentally ill.

Strange things happen every year, but this year there seem to be more than usual. The system inexplicably issued a task, and I have no idea how that task is related to the first task I'm required to complete.

Both statements refer to healing. The only difference is that one is physical, and the other is mental. Does this mean the physical healing refers to treating the original owner's body, while the mental healing refers to treating that man? Perhaps it's related to him or the mental hospital.

But now is not the time to do tasks. The most important thing is to figure everything out first. That will make things easier.

After taking leave, Suiyi didn't plan to go back to live at school. Instead, she bought an apartment outside and planned to live alone so that she wouldn't have any hindrances. Plus, she would be free and wouldn't have to maintain a certain public image.

She visited a real estate agency and successfully bought a house. The house was quite close to the school, and the environment, furnishings, and facilities all met Suiyi's requirements.

The facilities inside are all complete and very new. Suiyi can simply move in with her luggage.

I went to my dorm to pack some of my clothes and then went back to my room.

Sitting at her desk, Suiyi took out a sketchbook from the drawer and began to trace the outline of Qi Muzhi, thinking about what he looked like in real life.

The sound of raindrops pattering outside the window reached Suiyi. Looking up, she saw that the raindrops, illuminated by the lamplight, were crystal clear, like strings of pearls, a truly beautiful sight.

Suiyi put down her pen, drew back the curtains of the French windows, and sat by the window looking at the world outside. The raindrops dispelled the dust and heat of the world, and the air became fresh.

Sui Yi felt particularly peaceful, and in this atmosphere, everything seemed so beautiful.

For two days in a row, Suiyi did not receive a call from the hospital, so she thought she would try her luck again and see if the man had any connection with her, and whether it was possible that he was Qi Muzhi.

Suiyi came to the hospital again. As soon as she entered, the hospital was as noisy as ever.

"Good morning, nurse!"

"It's you? Dr. Long hasn't come back yet today!" The nurse said with a smile after seeing Suiyi.

"I'm not here to see Dr. Long today. I want to ask about that person from the other day."

"Well... we can't just tell other people about patients' privacy," the nurse said, somewhat embarrassed.

"Then I'll ask that patient what he was like after I left that day..."

"You know what, after you left that day, that patient looked at everyone like they were his enemies. It took us a lot of effort to subdue him. It seems like his condition has been getting worse these past few days."

"Could I go see him? It might help with his condition."

"Well... alright! But none of us dare get close to that patient. If we do, we'll get beaten up."

"Don't worry, I've learned a few moves. Can you take me with you?"

"He's in room number five on the sixth floor. You can go there yourself, but be careful. Oh, and here's the key."

Sui Yi thanked the nurse, took the keys, and left.

Sixth floor, 605. Sui Yi looked at the room number and found 605 around the corner. The entire sixth floor was quiet and dimly lit, giving it a slightly eerie feel. Sui Yi inserted the key, and with a click, the door opened!

Sui Yi slowly opened the door and went inside. The room was pitch black; it shouldn't be this dark in broad daylight. Sui Yi turned around and touched the wall near the door to see if there was a light switch. But as soon as she turned around, she felt as if she were being watched by something, which sent chills down her spine and made her hair stand on end.

Slowly turning around, I saw eyes that shone green like a wolf's in the night. My heart skipped a beat, and my hand touched the light switch. With a click, the lights in the ward became as bright as day.

Sui Yi recognized the person in front of her; it was that man. However, his eyes were red the day she saw him, but green today. Sui Yi looked at him; his eyes seemed very natural.

She bypassed the man and surveyed the entire ward. Sui Yi couldn't help but twitch. This person was definitely not normal. Who would turn the whole room black? Black curtains, black walls, black table, black light switches—everything visible to the naked eye was black. This must be what they call a truly dark room, right?

Suiyi walked over and pulled back the curtains, finally revealing a different view!

The man followed closely behind, going wherever Suiyi was.
