Yang Suiyi is a total homebody whose favorite pastime is writing novels on various websites. However, she inevitably abandons every single one, earning curses from countless readers while gleefully...
Suiyi arrived at the arena and had just stepped outside when she heard cheers.
"Now that you're in the crowd, get back inside." Sui Yi pressed down on the furry head on her pocket and pushed it back in.
Seeing that it had become docile, Suiyi strode into the arena.
The arena was very wide and large, with a large stage in the middle where two people were fighting.
Groups of onlookers, both men and women, surrounded the stage. Cheers and applause emanated from them.
Suiyi walked over, squeezed into the crowd, and used one hand to protect Ah Xing from being squeezed in her pocket.
After finally squeezing in, I looked at the stage and saw two trainees fighting with brute force, completely lacking in technique, and both were unarmed. They had probably been fighting for a while, as both of them had bruises on their faces.
Sui Yi waited a full ten minutes before the two on stage finished their fight, and the winner was a muscular man.
"Who else?" the burly man shouted, looking at the crowd below the stage. His muscles bulged, giving him an explosive presence.
Seeing that no one was around, Suiyi walked up the stone steps and slowly made her way up.
"I'll have a go at you!" The original owner's voice was soft and had no power at all.
The burly man looked at the frail-looking woman who was challenging him with disdain. Although she seemed relaxed and confident, who knew if it was just a bluff?
"Who are you? Have you considered the consequences of challenging me?" The burly man was the kind of person who was only focused on the arena and oblivious to everything else, so he had only heard of the original owner's name but had never seen him in person. Hence, he asked this question.
“Me?” Sui Yi chuckled. “I think there’s no need for me to introduce myself. I’m challenging you with my abilities, not with my name.”
"Whatever. Look at your small frame, I'll be a little gentler. I'll give you a break in a bit." The burly man said honestly, looking the girl up and down.
“No, you can use all your strength.” Sui Yi shook her head.
"Who is this girl? Which class is she in? How dare she be so arrogant? Isn't she afraid that brute force could knock her flying with one punch?"
"Yeah! She's so arrogant and ignorant. I think brute force should teach her a lesson."
"You guys deserve to be single. I could never bring myself to date a girl as beautiful as you."
"Tch! What good is being pretty? You can only use her as a vase. You need to know that this isn't a peaceful time. Having a burden like that around is a recipe for disaster."
"Hey! Are you guys joking? Do you think anyone who can get to the arena is an ordinary person? And look at how relaxed the girl is, without any tension on her face. Maybe she really does have some amazing skills that we don't know about."
A male student on the side couldn't stand the discussion around him and retorted.
"Such a beautiful woman should stay at home. Isn't going out just giving bad guys an opportunity to take advantage of her?"
Are you talking about Sister Xiaoxiao?
"What do you mean by that?" The male student who had spoken earlier glared at her and retorted. Everyone knew Sister Xiaoxiao's name. Although she was a woman, her methods and abilities were those of a rare female powerhouse on the Wind and Cloud Ranking. Anyone who dared to disrespect her ended up being dealt with terribly.
"Xiao Xiao is a woman too, why doesn't she stay at home! And this person on stage is not necessarily inferior to Xiao Xiao."
"Stop arguing, you two! Do you even know what that woman's name is on stage?" I rolled my eyes at my friend. Don't talk nonsense if you don't know the truth.
"You know?" The two arguing people looked at the person next to them with curiosity.
"I think you guys really should move around more in the academy. You don't even know who our famous E class's only student is." She rolled her eyes, explaining to her friend, but her eyes remained fixed on the stage.
"No way?" His eyes widened, unable to believe what he was hearing, and he asked for confirmation again.
Why would I lie to you?
"Isn't this just offering yourself up as someone else's punching bag? Are you that stupid?" The man was dumbfounded. What kind of logic is this?
"Whether she's just a punching bag or not, you can tell by looking at Big Eyes. I always feel that there are some things about her that we can't see through, as Jianfeng said." He frowned. It seemed that her disappearance a few days ago must have been due to some kind of adventure, otherwise he would never have heard of her coming to the arena in the past year.
Regardless of what the people below the stage might speculate, Sui Yi calmly looked at the burly man opposite her and extended her hand in a gesture of invitation.
The burly man understood, clenched his fist, and attacked Sui Yi.
Suiyi stood still, showing no panic as she watched the approaching figure.
The audience was already imagining the gruesome scene of blood splattering on the stage, and some of the more timid ones covered their eyes, unable to bear the sight of the gore.
He was still praying for the girl in his heart.
Sui Yi chuckled, and as the big man's fist came close, she bent back, turned around, and her slender, fair hand gently enveloped the big man's fist. She then wrapped her fist around it and secretly exerted force, pushing her arm forward with power. The big man lost his balance and stumbled back several steps.
"Goodness, she's got some skills." The burly man steadied himself. If he had underestimated her before, after this experience, the fighting spirit in his eyes grew stronger. He truly looked the girl in front of him squarely.
"Please!" I extended my hand, letting him make the first move.
The burly man nodded and charged towards Sui Yi once more. This time, he was wiser and didn't confront her head-on, as the opponent's strange strength made him hesitant to attempt anything.
"Is she really that powerful? Even brute force was easily knocked back several steps by her with a mere flick of her wrist." Unable to believe his eyes, he reached out and vigorously rubbed them, then looked at the person beside him.
"On the one hand, she knows some fighting techniques. The move she just used was a case of using minimal force to overcome great strength."
"Use softness to overcome hardness, gently follow the opponent's force to ease it, and then use that force against them to launch a counterattack, right?"
"Well! In short, this competition should broaden our horizons and give us some fighting skills. Just watch and see." The man's analysis made sense, but those around him only wanted to believe that the girl on stage was just lucky.
No one can accept that someone worse than themselves suddenly becomes someone who surpasses them; many people cannot accept this kind of disparity.
Sui Yi was fighting the big man with only one hand. As they went back and forth, the big man got angry. He knew that some people looked down on others, but he never knew that there was such an arrogant person. From the beginning until now, the girl had been fighting him with only one hand, as if she was toying with him. Wasn't this a serious insult to him? But for the time being, he couldn't do anything about her.
