Chapter 89 The Case-Solving Diary of a Cannon Fodder Prisoner 4

Sui Yi returned to the bedroom, where Ye Chenchen was sitting on the bed reading a book. She walked over and sat down on the bed. "What are you reading?"

Ye Chenchen closed the book, and Sui Yi could clearly see that it was titled "Criminal Psychology".

Suiyi: "You also work at the police station?"

Ye Chenchen: "Yeah! I'm on Team A. I was on vacation a few days ago! I just got back yesterday."

Suiyi: "Oh! That's my fault for not seeing you."

Ye Chenchen: "?"

Sui Yi: "Then we'll be colleagues tomorrow. Please take care of me in the future."

Ye Chenchen: "Really? Which team do you want to join?"

Sui Yi: "Team A, I'd like to see what cases the so-called Special Cases Unit handles. What's so special about it?"

Ye Chenchen smiled and said, "Welcome, welcome, but our captain is very strict. I bet he'll be furious if he sees that it's another girl coming to the team."

Sui Yi: "Does your captain look down on women?"

Ye Chenchen: "You'll see when you get there. Okay, I need to rest too, we'll continue chatting tomorrow." After saying that, she put down her book, covered herself with the blanket, and went to sleep. Sui Yi shrugged and lay down to sleep as well.

The next day, Sui Yi woke up at seven o'clock, only to find that Ye Chenchen was no longer beside her. After washing up, she went downstairs and saw Ye Chenchen and Director Ye having breakfast!

Ye Chenchen: "Youyou, you're down here? Come and have breakfast. After breakfast, we'll go to the police station together."

Sui Yi: "Okay!" She walked over and ate her breakfast. After finishing, the two of them rode together in the chief's car to the police station.

Upon arrival, the female lead went to her own place, while Suiyi had no choice but to follow the bureau chief to his office.

"Wait here, I need to ask about your situation." After saying that, one person took a phone and went to another room.

Sui Yi: "You're so stingy, you won't even let me hear you."

Ten minutes later, the chief came out and looked at Suiyi. "From now on, you are a member of our police station, but don't come to work yet. Take out the rules and regulations for being a police officer and memorize them before you can start working. Otherwise, go home."

"Okay! Where are these things?" Suiyi asked readily.

The director glanced at her, took out four or five manuals from a cabinet, and threw them in front of Suiyi. "Memorize them carefully."

Sui Yi didn't take it seriously, opened the book and started reading, flipping through it word by word. After reading it once, Sui Yi closed the book and said, "Uncle, I can recite it now."

The bureau chief stopped writing, looked up at Suiyi, and said, "Don't make fun of me, you little rascal."

Sui Yi rattled off: "First, falsifying information, concealing facts, and shielding or condoning illegal and criminal activities; (2) using torture to extract confessions or physically abusing or mistreating suspects; (3)..."

Sui Yi recited all the law enforcement rules and regulations in one go, leaving the bureau chief on the other side dumbfounded!

"Uncle, I've finished memorizing it. Can I go to work now?" Sui Yi called out to the director, but he didn't respond. She waved her hand in front of his eyes. "Uncle, Uncle!"

"Uh, what?" the bureau chief asked, snapping out of his daze.

"I've finished memorizing it. May I go to work now?"

"Oh! Okay." She was clearly still in shock and hadn't fully recovered.

Upon hearing the chief's words, Sui Yi smiled and walked out. She grabbed a nearby officer and said, "Where is your special task force? Take me there."

"Okay, please follow me."

Sui Yi followed the police officer to an office where five people were having a meeting. Sui Yi knocked on the door, and the people inside stopped their meeting and looked towards the door.

Sui Yi walked over and introduced herself to everyone: "Hello everyone, I'm new here. The director assigned me to work in the special case team."

Ye Chenchen: "Youyou, you're here?"

Leng Tianyi stared coldly at Sui Yi: "When did the director say that? I didn't know anything about it."

Sui Yi: "The director hadn't even had a chance to speak yet, so I came to report for duty first!"

Leng Tianyi: "You guys discuss the case first, I'll be out for a bit." He didn't even look at Sui Yi before walking out!

Ye Chenchen: "That's just how our captain is, don't mind him, come and sit down."

Li Hao: "Yeah! I guess the captain went to see the bureau chief!"

Jiang Ling: "Beautiful lady, don't be like that. Our captain is just like that, with a deadpan face."

Sui Yi nodded, sat down, and chatted with the others. Meanwhile, Leng Tianyi arrived at the bureau chief's office, where the bureau chief was still in a daze.

Leng Tianyi: "Chief, why are you sending all sorts of people to my office? A few days ago, we had an intern who was afraid of blood. Today, we've sent a criminal. Do you think my office is just sitting around doing nothing?"

Director: "What did you say? If they weren't really capable, would I just randomly send people to you? Everyone you send there is a talent. Take Chenchen, for example, she's very proficient in computer applications. That intern is a top student in criminal psychology, and the one who went there this morning is not only skilled but also has a photographic memory. And let's not even talk about Forensic Doctor Jiang. Tell me, who in your department is easy to deal with?"

"Chief..."

"Stop talking. I'm handing them over to you now. You're responsible for taking good care of them. Bai Youyou isn't a criminal; you can't even imagine that. Go back and deal with your case. Two days of the five-day period have already passed. You should worry about that!"

Seeing the director's attitude, Leng Tianyi knew there was no turning back, so he turned and left.

Reaching the door, he heard everyone chatting idly instead of discussing the case, which fueled his anger. He couldn't help but speak up: "Are you all too idle? Have you finished discussing it? Li Hao, what are your thoughts?"

Li Hao, who was called out, looked bewildered. Looking at the captain's stern face, he stood up with a stiff upper lip and said, "This case is very heinous. The murderer turned people into dolls. I think he must be a crazy art worshipper."
