Male Lead: Seduce me quickly! Leng Yue: No, no, no, I can't do it!
Male Lead: I allow you to seduce me! Leng Yue: ... This generation's male lead is so hard to handle, I want to go ho...
After leaving the small world and opening the Anywhere Door, they were transported to a fairytale town.
Leng Yue was completely dumbfounded, looking at Qian Chen, "I really pressed the time travel button!"
“It must be broken,” Qianchen sighed. “Why is this Anywhere Door becoming more and more useless?” No sooner had Qianchen finished speaking than the Anywhere Door got angry and kicked him out.
Qianchen stumbled and shook his head helplessly, "They say things resemble their owners, and it's just like you. You only like to hear good things and don't like to hear bad things."
Leng Yue pouted, "What do you mean?" She then turned her head away, refusing to look at Qian Chen. Qian Chen chuckled, "Still saying no?"
Then Qianchen patted the Anywhere Door again, "You, I don't need to call you Anywhere Door anymore. You should just change your name to Willful Door!"
Leng Yue chuckled after hearing this. "This name is quite fitting. 'Willful Gate,' okay, from now on, 'Anywhere Gate' will be renamed 'Willful Gate'!"
Leng Yue patted the Anywhere Door, but the door twisted around, seemingly displeased. Leng Yue and Qian Chen exchanged a glance, then burst into laughter.
After laughing, the two realized that the fairytale town was back. The streets were still filled with performances, and the husky was still playing the Big Bad Wolf. Cinderella was still running around in her glass slippers, Belle was still chasing a lion, and Little Red Riding Hood was still carrying her basket and asking the Big Bad Wolf for directions…
"Don't they get tired of always playing the same script?" Leng Yue clicked her tongue in amazement.
Qianchen glanced at it and said, "Since it's work, it's for making a living, so how can you talk about whether you're tired of it or not?"
The two strolled around and eventually arrived at the mayor's office.
"How about we say hello to him?" Leng Yue stood at the office door, raising her hand to rest on the doorframe.
Qianchen nodded, "Alright, we've known each other for a while now. After saying goodbye to the mayor, we'll go find Erha."
If it weren't for the travel permit the town mayor gave them, they wouldn't have been able to reach the Eastern Continent and the Elven race so smoothly. It was also because of that travel permit that they were able to obtain the two beads so easily.
Leng Yue gently knocked on the door, waited a while, but received no response. She knocked a few more times, but still no sound. Then, as she knocked one last time, the door suddenly opened by itself.
"The door wasn't closed?" Leng Yue looked at Qian Chen, who nodded. "It wasn't closed properly."
"Shall we go in?" Leng Yue pushed the door open and looked inside, but didn't see anyone.
Qianchen crossed his arms and thought for a moment, "Alright! Let's go inside and wait. Maybe the mayor will be here soon."
The two walked in one after the other, and as soon as they entered, the door slammed shut by itself with a "bang." Leng Yue was startled, thinking that someone else had come in behind her, but it turned out to be just a gust of wind.
Leng Yue patted her chest and breathed a sigh of relief, "That was terrifying! Even the wind is so mischievous!"
"You're too timid. It's just a gust of wind." Qianchen said, and walked back to try to open the door, but found that the door was locked.
"Yueyue, it seems it's not the wind!" Qianchen smiled wryly. "Do we look like fat sheep?"
"We've been set up?" Leng Yue looked at Qian Chen. "That lousy Anywhere Door, what a terrible teammate!"
"Who are you? Show yourself if you dare!" Leng Yue looked around the office, but found nothing unusual.
Qian Chen shrugged. "Don't look at me, I don't know either." Leng Yue rolled her eyes in exasperation, then muttered, "If I knew, I wouldn't have come in!"
"Since I'm here, I might as well stay and wait," Qian Chen said, showing no signs of nervousness. He strolled back, plopped down on the sofa, picked up a newspaper, and began to read it leisurely.
"Aren't you worried?" Leng Yue asked, puzzled. "We've already fallen into the enemy's trap, aren't you worried?"
"What are you worried about? What's the use of worrying?" Qianchen reached out and handed a newspaper to Lengyue. "Come, come, sit down and take a look. Take a break. Don't rush."
"It's always like this, all pretentious!" Leng Yue muttered, then sat down. "What kind of lousy newspaper is this? It's so worn out... This is... Ali? Is this Ali on it?"
Leng Yue spotted Ali immediately, along with the child they had left behind. Leng Yue was thrilled and looked at Qian Chen in disbelief, but Qian Chen nodded.
"Don't get agitated. Look here, there are our children in other worlds." Qianchen said, handing newspapers to Lengyue.
These newspapers come from various years, but they all record the lives of their children after their passing.
Leng Yue flipped through the pages one by one, sobbing uncontrollably. "They've all grown up. They're all doing well. Even without us, the children are doing just fine... Look..."
"Yes, yes, I saw it, I saw it." Qianchen gently wiped away Leng Yue's tears. "Don't cry, the children are all fine, why are you still crying?"
"I'm happy, I'm happy." Leng Yue laughed again as she spoke, then flipped through the pages again from beginning to end, finally stopping at Ali's page. "The one we owe the most to is Ali; that child has suffered so much."
Qianchen nodded, "Yes, but he did a very good job. As our son, as the older brother of his younger siblings, and as the pillar of the Lian family, he did a very good job."
Before they knew it, the town mayor was standing behind them.
"You've arrived?" Qianchen smiled, then said to the town mayor, "Please sit down."
The mayor obediently sat down, placing his hands on his knees, as docile as a child. He dared not look Qian Chen in the eye and whispered, "You know everything?"
"Hmm," Qianchen hummed softly, then asked, "When did you recognize us?"
“I recognized them from the start,” the mayor said, looking at Leng Yue and Qian Chen with affection in his eyes. “Father, Mother, will you be able to stay here forever this time?”
With an apologetic look in Leng Yue's eyes, she said, "I'm sorry, Ali, we're not safe right now and can only wander around."
Seeing the disappointment in Ali's eyes, Leng Yue felt a little sorry for him, and then comforted him, "Don't worry, we will definitely come to pick you up when we are safe and sound."
"Really?" Ali asked, his eyes filled with sadness. "Is it still possible? Can I still be considered your child looking like this?" As Ali spoke, he gently shed his outer shell, revealing a terrifying, unknown creature inside.
"What happened to you?" Leng Yue's eyes widened, she reached out but dared not touch Ali, tears streaming down her face again. "Does it hurt?"
“It’s a side effect of the lab,” Ali said, putting the outer shell back on. “Back then, I was captured by the Japanese, and they gave me a lot of strange injections. There were no problems at the time, but a hundred years later, I became like this.”
"Later, I could only live a life of hiding and hiding, until one day, I discovered that my spiritual world could be revealed. So, I created this world." Ali looked outside, "This is where my mother told us stories, and I love it here."
"Ali, I'm sorry you've suffered so much." Qianchen patted Ali on the shoulder. "When we come back next time, we'll definitely be able to restore you to your original state."
Ali knew that Qianchen's words meant they were leaving again. After a moment of silence, he could only nod. "Father, it's a promise. Mother, take care, and be sure to come back to find Ali!"
