Jiang Tian, a renowned渣女 (scorned woman/player) in her lifetime with countless boyfriends, was recruited by the Main God after her death to become an invincible host for the Female Lead group.<...
Am I that scary?
Jiang Tian glared at him and said honestly, "It's because you don't know how to control yourself."
Doesn't he know how to control himself? The two of them only see each other two or three times a month. If he doesn't try his best, this woman might have already forgotten about him.
However, he didn't say it aloud, but leaned wearily against the carriage, occasionally coughing lightly.
Jiang Tian saw him like this for the first time and immediately understood.
Jiang Tian placed her hand on his forehead, a hint of anxiety in her eyes: "You have a fever, why did you come here?"
"If I don't come here, where else can I go?"
Perhaps because he was ill, Mo Chenyuan spoke much more boldly.
He is the ruler of a country, and any slight disturbance will cause countless people to take action.
If it were discovered that he had caught a cold, others would start plotting against him.
Mo Chenyuan was delighted with their petty tricks and caught them one by one.
But we just caught a wave last time, and the interval is too short; it's not wise to alert them.
Before he came, he only had a slight headache and thought it was nothing serious. He never expected that after standing there for a while, his forehead would start to feel hot.
He must have fallen ill recently because he was busy dealing with trivial matters while the Prime Minister was away, and he caught a chill.
Seeing Jiang Tian so close to him, Mo Chenyuan covered his mouth and moved to a corner: "Stay away from me."
Jiang Tian: "..."
Since you know that colds are contagious, why did you come looking for her?
But now that everyone has arrived, Jiang Tian won't just sit idly by.
After getting off the carriage, Jiang Tian instructed the maid to prepare the medicine, and then ordered Mo Chenyuan to lie down and covered his forehead with a wet towel.
Mo Chenyuan watched her do things for him, a smile unconsciously appearing in his eyes: "Looks like I came to the right place."
"Close your eyes, get some rest, and stop talking nonsense."
Jiang Tian checked the temperature of his forehead, her eyes filled with anxiety, and the temperature remained high.
Fortunately, the medicine was ready. She helped Mo Chenyuan up and watched him swallow the medicine in one gulp, and then she breathed a sigh of relief.
"What kind of look is that? How old am I? Why would I be afraid of taking medicine?"
Mo Chenyuan's voice was somewhat hoarse.
Jiang Tian rolled her eyes at him: "Shut up. Since you've taken the medicine, lie down and get some sleep."
Mo Chenyuan couldn't sleep. He was healthy and rarely caught a cold, so he found it strange that he was now sick.
His gaze followed Jiang Tian, and when Jiang Tian turned around, their eyes met.
Why are you staring at me like that?
"I don't do anything, I'm too weak to lie down, I just love watching you."
Jiang Tian ignored him and after a little over half an hour, she sat down by his bedside again and touched his forehead. It wasn't as hot as before.
"This prescription is quite effective," she murmured.
Mo Chenyuan thought to himself that it was a prescription left by a divine physician, capable of reviving the dead, let alone a minor cold.
She felt slightly relieved and asked him, "What would you like for dinner? I'll make you some porridge."
Mo Chenyuan wasn't interested in food, but when he heard that she was making it herself, he became interested: "You're making it yourself?"
"If I don't do it, who will? Let's just have some porridge then."
Mo Chenyuan smiled helplessly. As soon as Jiang Tian left, he was overcome with drowsiness and slept for several hours. When he woke up, it was already dark.
Jiang Tian finally managed to wake him up. Seeing his blank stare, she smiled and asked, "Are you still half asleep?"
It must be said that, perhaps because of his illness, Mo Chenyuan felt much better upon waking up and seeing Jiang Tian.
"Slept very well."
Mo Chenyuan felt refreshed and his mind was no longer foggy.
Seeing that he had regained his spirits, Jiang Tian stroked his forehead again.
However, before he could even place his hand on it, Mo Chenyuan grabbed it.
"Don't touch it, I'm sweaty." The medicine had induced sweating, and Mo Chenyuan was feeling extremely unwell. "Have them boil some water for me, I want to take a bath."
Jiang Tian looked at him with a skeptical gaze: "Are you cured?"
Mo Chenyuan nodded: "I feel fine."
Jiang Tian didn't believe it, but the strength with which he held her was quite strong, unlike that of someone who was sick.
She had no choice but to instruct the servants to boil more hot water, as she couldn't afford to catch a cold while bathing.
After washing, Mo Chenyuan came back to life.
When Jiang Tian tested his forehead again, he did not resist.
It's not hot anymore.
Mo Chenyuan said with a radiant smile, "I'm going to finish the porridge you cooked for me."
"You're as strong as a calf."
After finishing her meal, Jiang Tian couldn't help but exclaim in praise.
In just a few hours, Mo Chenyuan recovered from his illness.
Described as a calf, Mo Chenyuan's expression was complicated: "You can use a different description."
Jiang Tianfei wouldn't listen: "What's wrong with a calf? If a commoner has a cow, they should treat it like a king."
Gritting his teeth, Mo Chenyuan pounced on Jiang Tian.
"Then I'll show you what a bull can do!"
Jiang Tian instinctively struggled: "Your illness has just healed—"
Mo Chenyuan kissed her lips and chuckled softly in her ear, "Only when you're better will I have time to torment you."
After that, Jiang Tian didn't have time to speak.
She was certain that Mo Chenyuan was completely cured.
She was so sore all over that she didn't want to move. Mo Chenyuan put on his coat and even fed her some water halfway through.
He was still full of energy the next day.
However, the consequence of fooling around all night was that Jiang Tian developed a fever.
The next day, when Mo Chenyuan touched Jiang Tian's forehead, it was burning hot. He immediately regretted his actions and quickly dressed Jiang Tian before taking her to see a doctor.
The doctor was puzzled as to why he was making such a fuss. It was just a minor cold, and one dose of medicine would be more than enough to cure it. But this young master insisted on knocking on his door so early in the morning.
