In the middle of the night, Xie Baiyu was having a sweet dream while holding Xu Nian when he was kicked to the ground.

He looked up in disbelief, his face contorted with grievance at the person who had kicked him. "Niannian, I just kissed you, is it really necessary to be so angry? Kicking me out of bed in the middle of the night, you're really vengeful!"

After Xie Baiyu finished muttering, she noticed that Xu Nian's condition was off; she hadn't given her a single glance the entire time.

She stiffly climbed out of bed and walked barefoot towards the door.

"Sleepwalking?" Xie Baiyu was startled and quickly chased after Xu Nian to try to bring her back, but a strange thing happened and he hugged empty air.

He looked at his hands, then at Xu Nian who was opening the door, and his face darkened.

"Damn game mechanics, I'll have to tear you apart one day!" Xie Baiyu said, then quickly caught up with Xu Nian.

He didn't know where Xu Nian would go in her sleep, nor did he know if she would get hurt.

He followed Xu Nian, watching her leave their bedroom, go downstairs, and find the entrance to the basement.

Entering the basement revealed a completely different scene. There was a single bed with a person strapped to it, and next to that person was a box of surgical instruments.

Xu Nian walked to the man's side, unbuttoned his white shirt, revealing his fair and muscular chest.

She touched the man's chest with her hand, a fanatical expression on her face.

That was a look Xie Baiyu had never seen before. Even when he kissed her until her eyes were filled with tears, she had never looked at him like that.

And where did her hand touch?

How could she touch someone else in front of him?

Xie Baiyu was furious, his eyes filled with malice. He took a few steps forward to try to stop Xu Nian, but it was no use; he couldn't touch her.

"Niannian, don't touch him, don't touch him, do you hear me?" Xie Baiyu was so anxious that he was pacing around in circles. Then he saw Xu Nian lower her head and place a kiss on the man's chest.

"Niannian, if you dare touch him, I'll kill him." Xie Baiyu's eyes widened, instantly turning blood red.

Upon seeing the box of surgical instruments, he picked up a scalpel without hesitation and plunged it into the man's throat.

It was at this moment that Xie Baiyu finally saw what the person looked like.

That was clearly himself!

Is this an illusion?

Xie Baiyu was a little confused, and then he saw Xu Nian pick up those surgical instruments and cut open the chest of the other man on the bed.

Within moments, the entire basement was filled with the sounds of flesh being cut open and blood dripping onto the ground.

Xie Baiyu watched helplessly as Xu Nian removed another one of his hearts.

Watching her hold that heart in her hands as if it were a precious treasure, her face was full of happy smiles.

"Xie Baiyu, I'm sorry, I really need your heart."

"Don't worry, I will wish to resurrect you." After saying that, Xu Nian leaned down and kissed the other version of him on the lips again.

Then he left with another one of his hearts.

There was only a body in the basement that had lost its heart.

Xie Baiyu glanced at the corpse, then turned and followed Xu Nian, but as soon as he stepped out of the basement, everything in front of him turned white.

The sound of "clack-clack-clack" rang out, and a woman in a red cheongsam and high heels appeared in front of Xie Baiyu. "See? She wants to kill you. She wants your heart. That's her crime."

"I don't believe it. Why would she kill me? I could clearly feel that she liked me." Xie Baiyu scoffed. Rather than believing what the little demon had shown him, he preferred to believe what he felt. He wasn't blind.

"Then you should ask her why she wanted to kill you, why she wanted your heart." Xiao Yao threw the question back to Xie Baiyu.

He paused for a moment and continued, "You know, the game's premise is that you kill people, but you never lie about the crimes."

"Stop talking, I don't believe you unless she tells me herself." Xie Baiyu glanced coldly at Xiao Yao, then walked past her and turned back.

The white world shattered beneath his feet, and the first floor hall of the castle came into view. He looked up and saw Xu Nian's back as she climbed the stairs.

Watching Xie Baiyu rush off to chase after Xu Nian, Xiao Yao's lips curled slightly, and she sneered, "She really won't shed a tear until she sees the coffin."

Xie Baiyu returned to the room and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that the person was lying safely in bed.

He walked over and looked at Xu Nian's features; she was still the way he liked her. Just looking at her filled him with boundless satisfaction.

Thinking of what he had seen in the basement, his eyes darkened, and a gloomy and ambiguous expression appeared on his face.

He verbally denied Xiao Yao's words, but in his heart he believed them.

He just didn't understand why she wanted his heart.

Xie Baiyu suddenly remembered that Xu Nian had once asked him if he was really Xie Baiyu.

She also said that she didn't want him to be Xie Baiyu.

So she wanted to find Xie Baiyu because she needed Xie Baiyu's heart?

This makes it even more puzzling. In a battle royale game, what would she do with another person's heart?

Xie Baiyu gave Xu Nian a deep look, then pretended nothing had happened and continued to hold her as they drifted off to sleep.

This time, however, the dream was very chaotic; he saw her killing him expressionlessly time and time again.

She repeatedly ripped out his heart, leaving his cold corpse to rot.

He was unwilling to accept this; he didn't want to rot away alone in a corner. Couldn't she take him with her?

Xu Nian was awakened by a strong pull. She turned her head angrily and saw that Xie Baiyu was sleeping very restlessly.

Tears welled in his eyes as he kept murmuring in his sleep, "Niannian, don't leave me alone, don't leave me all alone!"
