After an accidental death, Shi Lan travels through various worlds to help those female supporting characters who were cannon foddered achieve their wishes and live anew.
She experiences vario...
Shi Xi usually has breakfast with her mother. Her mother likes chewy and elastic food, and in the morning she usually eats bouncy glutinous rice balls or sweet steamed buns. The food here at Shi Lan's place is soft, sweet and fragrant, which is quite novel to her. She drank a whole bowl of lotus seed porridge and three pieces of water chestnut cake.
After having breakfast and a cup of jujube tea, Shi Xi prepared to go to her mother's place.
Shi Lan lazily slumped on the stool, refusing to move an inch.
Helpless, Shi Xi could only mutter "lazy cat" resentfully and leave.
Cuizhi asked the maids to remove the table, wanting to finish the work she hadn't completed that morning.
Shi Lan waved her hand lazily and said, "Take these off my head, I want to rest a bit more."
Cuizhi responded, removed the pearl hairpin, and helped her to the bed.
Shi Lan lay on the large bed, looking at the curtains above her head. She felt her soul becoming weak and unsteady, as if the soul residing in her body was out of control and was about to fly out of her body.
Shi Lan closed her eyes slightly and repeatedly circulated the Returning to Origin Chaos Technique, hoping to slightly repair her soul, which was so damaged that it could hardly support her body.
Outside the window, the sun rose and set. Cuizhi looked uneasily at the silent curtains, hesitated, and stepped forward, softly calling, "Miss."
Shi Lan rolled her eyes, opened them, and found that the lights in the room had been turned on at some point.
"What time is it?"
Shi Lan lifted the curtain and revealed her head.
“Just past the hour of Xu,” Cuizhi said, hanging up the curtain and letting out a quiet sigh.
Shi Lan raised an eyebrow at her. "What's wrong?"
Cuizhi smiled slightly, "Nothing, I was just a little startled to see you had been sleeping all day."
Shi Lan smiled and got out of bed, saying, "It's nothing. I've been tense for a while, and now that I'm relaxed, I just want to get a good night's sleep."
Cuizhi smiled, tidied up the soft bedding, and said, "The kitchen is keeping your food warm. Whether you're hungry or not, please have a little bit."
Shi Lan stretched and said, "Alright, just bring me some porridge and side dishes."
Cui Zhi smiled and agreed, then turned and left the inner room. Once outside, her face paled. Just moments before, when she had lifted the curtain, she had discovered that Shi Lan's breathing was almost nonexistent. Had it not been for the slight rise and fall of her chest, she would have thought Shi Lan had already passed away. (To be continued.)
