After an accidental death, Shi Lan travels through various worlds to help those female supporting characters who were cannon foddered achieve their wishes and live anew.
She experiences vario...
I slept soundly for who knows how long, when I heard a noise in the distance that sounded like flies buzzing around my ear.
Shi Lan rolled up the quilt and buried her head deep in the brocade quilt, but she still couldn't escape the ear-piercing demonic sound.
After struggling for a while, Shi Lan was suddenly pulled down and sat up as if she were a corpse, staring angrily at the bright sunlight outside the cave.
A loud and affected laugh pierced through the cave entrance and went straight in.
Shi Lan rubbed her throbbing forehead and struggled to her feet.
He made a hand gesture to tidy up his wrinkled clothes and messy hair before stepping out.
In an octagonal pavilion a few feet away from the cave, two beautiful women in flowing robes were raising their cups to drink together.
Shi Lan glanced at the two people. Apart from the fake Shi Lan, the other person was actually the soul that she had once killed with the Soul-Destroying Nail.
Shi Lan secretly pursed her lips. That fake Lan was wearing her face. Since that person had a good relationship with her, why did he look at her as if he wanted to kill her? Shi Lan was puzzled. However, thinking about how she had inexplicably become a fairy herb, she was very depressed and too lazy to go and find out. So she simply turned around and left.
Shi Lan thought she was quick and light, but little did she know that someone was even faster than her.
"Xiaoping, you're awake."
A gentle voice with a hint of coquettishness came from behind. Shi Lan's back stiffened slightly. She turned around and gave a faint smile: "Yes."
Jia Lan rose from her seat, her dress fluttering, and instantly appeared in front of Shi Lan, warmly taking her hand and saying, "You've woken up at just the right time. Let me introduce you to my friend, Immortal Lord Wanrou."
Shi Lan struggled slightly and declined, saying, "No, I'm not qualified to know an immortal lord. How could someone as insignificant as me be worthy of such acquaintance?"
Jia Lan smiled and gave her a coquettish look, "What nonsense are you talking about? You're my friend, and she's my friend too. What's this about qualifications between friends?"
Shi Lan's expression was indifferent, but her feet seemed to be rooted to the ground.
Seeing Shi Lan's resolute attitude, Jia Lan's expression turned somewhat unpleasant.
"Forget it, since she's so self-aware, why force her?" Wanrou stretched out her fair wrist, picked up her wine glass, took a sip, and said, "She's just an ugly monster with weak magic power. Aren't there many like her everywhere in the God Realm?"
Shi Lan glanced coldly at Wan Rou, then turned to look at the fake Lan who was clinging to her tightly. To her surprise, the fake Lan had a hint of anger on her face.
Shi Lan raised an eyebrow. This was unusual. Wan Rou had clearly been scolding her, so why was she angry?
Shi Lan finally found some amusement after being forcibly pulled, but her eyes turned away without showing any emotion.
Jia Lan's expression changed rapidly. Zhan Yan was all smiles, but her eyes held a hint of pleading. "Xiao Ping, just have one drink, or I'll really lose face."
Curious, Shi Lan changed her attitude and followed her to the pavilion.
Jia Lan took another cup, poured a glass of fruit wine, and handed it to Shi Lan. She then filled the wine glass in front of Wan Rou and said, "This is my good friend, Xiao Ping." She looked at Shi Lan and said, "This is Immortal Lord Wan Rou, the beloved disciple of Divine Lord Ming Zhi."
Shi Lan understood. So this guy had a Divine Lord backing him up. No wonder he had the confidence to go against her, who was backed by Hao Ze.
Jia Lan raised her glass in a gesture of respect, but Shi Lan, holding her glass, smiled without saying a word. Jia Lan was slightly surprised and, following her gaze, awkwardly discovered that Wan Rou was haughtily tilting her head back, showing no intention of raising her glass.
Jia Lan looked at Wan Rou with drooping eyebrows.
Wanrou frowned and said impatiently, "Shilan, it's your business to befriend such lowly immortals regardless of your status, but you can't lower my standards." She glanced at Shilan contemptuously and said, "I don't think she's qualified to drink with me, let alone..." She swept all the wine pots and cups on the table to the ground with her sleeve, "...to share a set of wine utensils with her."
Tears welled up in Jia Lan's eyes, and she pursed her lips, timidly saying, "Wanrou."
Shi Lan gave a cold laugh and threw the glass down as well. The glass landed on the ground and rolled to Wan Rou's feet, spilling the remaining wine.
“Immortal Lord, these are exactly what I wanted to say. It seems we are of one mind,” Shi Lan said, then turned and left.
Wanrou stared at the corner of her skirt that was soaked with wine stains and said coldly, "Stop right there."
Shi Lan ignored him and left the pavilion.
Wanrou's eyebrows shot up, and she immediately made a hand seal, summoning a green ribbon that shot straight at Shi Lan's back.
Shi Lan immediately sensed the murderous intent behind her, but her magic power was weak. Even though she tried her best to dodge to the side, she still couldn't escape the ribbon that had locked onto her.
Not far away, amidst the lush green grass, a sharp white light suddenly appeared, mercilessly cleaving the ribbon in two. The emerald light dimmed instantly, and the ribbon flew back at an even faster speed than before.
Inside the pavilion, Wanrou let out a muffled groan and spat out a mouthful of blood.
Jia Lan rushed to her side in a panic, supported her, and asked with concern, "Wanrou, are you alright?"
Wanrou's face was contorted with rage as she shoved the fake Lan aside and glared hatefully at one of the two people who came out.
"Guests are guests, is this how Lord Haoze treats his guests?"
Haoze's expression was extremely cold, completely ignoring her pale face and the crimson stain at her feet.
"Since you're a guest, why did you resort to violence over a mere disagreement?"
Wanrou pressed her aching chest and said incredulously, "She's just a nobody, why are you making such a fuss?"
Haoze put his hands behind his back and said with a sneer, "When you first came to the God Realm, how were you any different from her? If it weren't for Mingzhi, you wouldn't even be as good as her now."
These words were a bit harsh. Seeing Wanrou's ashen face and obvious anger, the handsome man standing beside Haoze quickly tried to smooth things over. "Alright, Wanrou, you were indeed in the wrong. You're a guest, so why discipline someone else's servant?" He then turned to Haoze and said, "Wanrou and I came here specifically to congratulate you on your advancement. Even if we were a little impolite, you shouldn't have attacked like that. Your divine power is so fierce, how could Wanrou possibly withstand it?"
