Chapter 11 The Dragon in the World Where Men Become Women (Part 11)

As Long Xun was intently monitoring the Free Alliance's underground base from a distance, a sudden surge of spiritual energy near the Golden Plaza in City A immediately caught his attention.

Without hesitation, Long Xun tore open space, and in a single step, he went from the suburbs to the city center, arriving at the place where the abnormal outbreak occurred—the small angle formed by the Golden Tower and several nearby buildings.

The ground in front of him was a mess. Three bodies, two men and one woman, with shriveled and dehydrated skin, like mummies, lay or sprawled on a large pool of blood beneath them, their expressions still twisted and terrified, even their eyeballs shrunken.

Long Xun slowly walked to the wall, where a handsome but exhausted man was leaning back, one hand covering his left chest where blood was seeping out, the other hand loosely clenched into a fist, and a small figure could be vaguely seen moving in his palm. Not far from him, there was a broken carousel.

"You've come..." His lips twitched slightly, revealing a small smile.

Long Xun walked towards him, bent down and took the hand that was pressed against his chest, gently moving it away.

"Don't look," Yin Chen said weakly, but he no longer had any strength left to stop Long Xun.

The silver-haired, golden-eyed dragon god pulled his hand away, looked at the wound, and remained silent.

A hideous and terrifying blood hole pierced through his chest; where his heart should have been, only a lump of flesh the size of half a fist remained.

His heart was broken.

"You're going to die."

Long Xun heard his own voice utter softly from between his lips, as if afraid of startling something.

Even though he knew that members of the Dragon Group could die, no one had ever actually died in front of him.

"I can't save them."

He couldn't save Yin Chen; his heart was broken, and his life was fading away at an unstoppable pace.

Yin Chen is a dual S-class water-type ability user. He can control not only water, but everything that can exist in liquid form.

Blood is naturally included in it.

He controlled his blood, allowing it to flow and circulate throughout his body, so that his life could pass more slowly.

But... his life force had dissipated, and his supernatural abilities wouldn't last much longer.

Yin Chen smiled gently, his deep blue eyes curving into crescents, just like every time he had ever smiled when he saw Long Xun.

“I know… I’m just waiting for you to come,” Yin Chen said.

“You will definitely come,” Yin Chen said.

"I've been waiting for you." Yin Chen smiled again, but he finally couldn't control himself and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

Long Xun suddenly couldn't understand what these complex emotions were that were welling up in his heart. He was clearly very calm, calmer than ever before. He could even feel that his eyes were frighteningly calm.

It was as if his soul had suddenly left his body, as if he had suddenly lost a part of himself as a human being... Those tiny, insignificant emotions could not move him in the slightest.

Yin Chen's breathing became unsteady, but he still managed to say, "Boss... no, Xun, can I... can I call you that...?"

Long Xun nodded slightly, and the silver-white hair that slid down his shoulder trembled slightly.

“Ah Xun… I originally thought that after two more years… once these upheavals have calmed down… I would tell you… something…”

Although he joined the Dragon Group and experienced battles, he was prepared to die. From E-rank, D-rank, all the way to a powerful superhuman with double S-rank... he rose through the ranks without any major incidents. He had strong talent and a bright future.

Who knew that just when he thought he might not die in battle, fate would play such a cruel joke...

Yin Chen gave a bitter smile. He was exhausted. He knew it was because his superpower was gradually failing to supply enough blood to his brain... Perhaps he would die soon.

Think about it, he had hinted at his feelings many times before, and everyone could see that he liked him, but this dragon was completely oblivious.

If he dies and the person he loves doesn't know his feelings, Yin Chen will be unwilling to accept it.

"Ah Xun...I like you..."

The voice was weak, as if it could be blown away by the wind as soon as it was uttered.

Long Xun silently looked at the dying man before him for a while, then said to him earnestly, "I'm sorry."

Yin Chen gave another bitter smile.

He couldn't help but cough, spitting out mouthfuls of blood. Blood was gushing from the hole in his chest, making him look as if he had crawled out of a pool of blood.

Long Xun frowned slightly. He placed his hand on Yin Chen's chest. After a faint flash of light, the wound on his chest had healed, and his smooth skin looked as if it had never been injured.

He could heal the wounds, and even rebuild Yin Chen's heart, but it was all in vain.

When he arrived, Yin Chen's life force had already dissipated.

The healing of his wounds only prolonged his life.

"You really are..." Yin Chen muttered helplessly in a low, breathy voice, "Can't you even lie to me once, considering I'm about to die..."

Long Xun looked at him quietly.

Those scattered, complex emotions had mingled together, and gradually, Long Xun felt as if he had shed his previous ruthless demeanor, and the human part of him was slowly returning to his soul. He knew that he was actually angry, sad, and surprised by the sudden confession, uneasy about not being able to respond, and guilty about not being able to lie to Yin Chen.

"I'm sorry," was all Long Xun could say.

Yin Chen shook his head slightly, as if he had regained some of his energy, and raised his left hand.
