From then on, the two retired from their life of crime and never set foot in the ancient tomb again, living a happy life together as husband and wife.

In the story of Jiang Fu and Ming Xiao, the person who was unhappy and sacrificed was named Shen Lanshang.

Shen Lanshang is an archaeology enthusiast, and her father is an archaeology expert. By chance, she discovers that Jiang Fu, behind the mask of an archaeological genius, is actually a master tomb raider.
