Rebirth 1970: I Emptied My Family's House Before Going to the Countryside

In her previous life, Qin Hanshu couldn't cope and took her own life when her stepfather forced her to the countryside. After her death, her soul attached itself to a prayer bead that her steps...

Chapter 2 Space

Hu Wenwen was startled. She turned around and saw Qin Hanshu. She immediately cursed, "Qin Hanshu, are you trying to get yourself killed? How dare you steal my things!"

As he spoke, he lunged forward to snatch the prayer beads back.

Qin Hanshu was prepared and dodged to the side, but she was weak and not very agile, and Hu Wenwen grabbed her injured wrist.

Blood immediately seeped through the gauze, causing Qin Hanshu to wince in pain.

However, Qin Hanshu did not regret directly grabbing it, because she remembered that Hu Wenwen would discover the secret of the space today, and she couldn't wait any longer.

Moreover, once Hu Dayong and Hu Bingbing return, she won't even have a chance to forcibly take it.

Hu Wenwen is dark-skinned and thin, but he was used to doing farm work in the countryside when he was young, so he is really strong.

During the struggle, more and more blood seeped from Qin Hanshu's wrist, staining the gauze red.

Whether it was her imagination or not, Qin Hanshu suddenly felt that the prayer beads in her hand were getting hot.

Yang Aizhen came in when she heard the noise and was startled.

"Han Shu! What are you fighting with Wenwen over?!"

Upon seeing Yang Aizhen, Hu Wenwen immediately complained, "Mom, Qin Hanshu stole my things! Make her give them back!"

Yang Aizhen turned to Qin Hanshu, frowned and snapped, "How can you be so insensible? Give it back to her right now!"

Qin Hanshu sneered a few times, holding up the prayer beads in her hand and said, "Take a good look, are these hers?"

Yang Aizhen naturally recognized that the prayer beads were something Qin's father had asked for for Qin Hanshu, and she also knew how much Qin Hanshu treasured them.

In addition, since Qin Hanshu had just attempted suicide, Yang Aizhen was afraid that she would cause trouble again because of the string of beads, so she comforted Hu Wenwen and said, "It's just a string of beads, it's not gold or silver, it's not worth anything. Later, Mom will get you some cloth to make you a new dress, isn't that prettier than the beads?"

Hu Wenwen didn't actually like the beads; she only thought of "borrowing" them for a few days because she saw Qin Hanshu treasure them. After looking at them for a while, she couldn't see anything special about them and just thought the beads were pitted and ugly.

When Yang Aizhen told her that she would make her new clothes, Hu Wenwen's anger subsided by half, but she was still a little unwilling and demanded, "It's not enough to just make new clothes, you also have to take me out to eat Peking duck."

Yang Aizhen smiled indulgently, "Okay, when your grandma comes next week, we'll go eat roast duck..."

While Yang Aizhen was coaxing Hu Wenwen, Qin Hanshu quietly left the house and returned to her own room.

The small side room where she lived could only fit a bed, a table, a chair, and a cabinet. When I was little, my father told me that in the old society, side rooms were for servants.

Qin Hanshu bolted the door and drew the curtains before sitting down on the bed to examine the prayer beads.

The blood from her wrist stained the prayer beads, and the hot spot was where the blood had been.

As if sensing something, Qin Hanshu's heart began to beat faster.

Sure enough, the blood seemed to have a life of its own, slowly spreading out and flowing straight towards the amber three-way Buddha head at the top.

Within the translucent, golden Buddha head, the shape of the space gradually emerges.

Then, Qin Hanshu felt a tremendous suction force pulling her. After a moment of weightlessness, she entered the space.

The entrance to the space is a white jade bridge, beneath which flows a clear stream that circles the edge of the space.

Crossing the white jade bridge, one comes to a grove of evergreen pines and cypresses, shrouded in a thin layer of mist, creating a scene reminiscent of a fairyland. Interspersed among these are evergreen rare herbs and flowers, where colorful butterflies flutter and dance. Apricot, plum, peach, and cherry trees, too, bear abundant fruit year-round.

Qin Hanshu was very familiar with this space, but before she had no physical body, she could only see it and had no other senses.

Now that she has actually set foot on the land, she discovers that not only is the scenery beautiful, but she can also smell a fragrance as sweet as orchids and musk.

Qin Hanshu continued forward, and soon a strangely shaped peak with jagged rocks appeared before her. The cliff was covered with dense forest, and she could vaguely see longevity deer and fairy foxes moving among them, and hear the chirping of birds.

A mountain spring flows down from the peaks and forests, gathering into a pool at the foot of the mountain. From the pool, it splits into two streams that meander around the space.

The stream meandered through the space, endlessly, like a boundary that defined the scope of the space.

Qin Hanshu knew that the mountain spring in the space, as well as the fruit growing on the trees, not only had the effect of treating illnesses and prolonging life, but also made people's skin fair and delicate, their skin firm and smooth, their bodies supple yet resilient, and all their bodily functions reach the healthiest and most beautiful state.

The soil in this space is also amazing. No matter what kind of seed is sown there, it can grow on its own without any care, and it grows even better than the soil in the outside world.

Foxes, deer, and birds are also considered to possess spiritual abilities and can obey commands to help with fruit gathering and harvesting.

Finally, Qin Hanshu looked at the sheer cliff face on the strange peak, where the four large characters "Grotto Heaven and Blessed Land" were written.

Just then, the prayer beads in Qin Hanshu's hand suddenly turned into a white light and disappeared.

Qin Hanshu was initially anxious, but then she was relieved to see that the space had not disappeared.

Strangely, when Hu Wenwen possessed the space in her previous life, the prayer beads did not disappear. Instead, she had to use them every time she entered the space. Therefore, Hu Wenwen always wore the prayer beads on her body, never leaving them for a moment, living in constant fear.

After a moment's thought, Qin Hanshu tried entering and exiting the space a few times and found that she could indeed enter and exit freely without the prayer beads.

It seems that space recognizes its owner.

Qin Hanshu felt more at ease, no longer needing to worry about her space being taken away by others.

Qin Hanshu picked a peach and ate it in the space, and drank a few mouthfuls of spring water. Although there was no visible change on the outside, her weak body immediately regained some energy.
