Su Jianguo took his last breath on his sickbed, still hearing the quarrel of his five children fighting over 300,000 yuan for surgery fees.
When he opened his eyes again, he had returned to t...
Su Jianguo parked his bicycle next to the shop, straightened his collar which had been ruffled by the wind, and then strode towards the shop.
"Boss Su! You're back!"
The waiter at the door exclaimed in surprise.
The other waiters also looked up, their faces showing respect.
Su Jianguo smiled and nodded in greeting.
"Thank you all for your hard work."
As they were talking, Su Yufen came out of the back warehouse, holding an account book in her hand.
Upon seeing her father, she was taken aback at first, and then her eyes instantly welled up with tears.
"Dad... has everything been taken care of at Grandma's house?"
Su Jianguo looked at his eldest daughter and felt a warmth in his heart.
"Everything has been taken care of."
Su Jianguo nodded.
"Your mom is too tired and is resting at home. I came to check on her."
Su Yufen wiped her eyes.
"Dad, please have a seat. I'll pour you some tea."
She turned to other employees.
"Keep working, don't hold up the customers."
Su Jianguo sat down at a small table in the corner of the shop and accepted the hot tea handed to him by his daughter.
He looked around; the shop was clean and tidy, and the vegetables on the shelves were arranged in an orderly manner.
These are all business models he designed back then, and they seem to be being executed perfectly now.
"Dad, these are the accounts for the past two weeks."
Su Yufen handed the account book to her father.
Su Jianguo opened the ledger, and rows of numbers came into view.
His brows gradually relaxed, and finally lifted completely.
"This... a profit of 12,000 in half a month?"
Su Jianguo looked up in surprise.
"How can there be so many?"
Su Yufen wore a proud smile.
"Yes, Dad. I followed your instructions and set up a special section for off-season vegetables, and even started a 'morning market special'."
Su Jianguo closed the ledger and carefully examined his daughter.
"Yufen, did you come up with all of this yourself?"
"Not entirely."
Su Yufen was a little embarrassed.
"I often visit Yihaodian to consult with Manager Li, and I've also read the management notes you left behind."
Su Jianguo suddenly realized.
During the time he and Wang Xiulan were away, their daughter not only kept the shop afloat but also made innovative contributions.
"Okay, very good."
Su Jianguo nodded repeatedly.
"You did a great job."
"dad."
Su Yufen suddenly remembered something.
"Would you like to check out the newly arrived cucumbers? They just arrived yesterday, they're especially fresh."
Su Jianguo got up and followed his daughter toward the vegetable section.
Bright green cucumbers were displayed on the shelves at the entrance, each one straight and plump.
"Excellent, this is a good location."
Su Jianguo nodded approvingly.
Su Yufen smiled.
"We've already sold more than half of them today."
Looking at his daughter's confident demeanor, Su Jianguo suddenly realized that his worries were unnecessary.
"Yu Fen."
Su Jianguo pondered for a moment.
"From now on, you'll be in full charge of this second store."
Su Yufen stared wide-eyed in surprise.
"Dad, this..."
"The salary is based on the store manager's standard, plus a 10% profit share."
Su Jianguo said without a doubt.
Su Yufen's lips trembled, and tears finally welled up in her eyes.
"Dad...I promise I won't let you down!"
After walking around the store again, Su Jianguo looked at his watch.
"It's getting late, I still need to go to Yihaodian (a major online retailer)."
"Yes, Dad, you should go now."
Su Yufen quickly replied.
"I'll close early tonight and go back to see my mom."
Su Jianguo nodded and walked towards the door.
Before leaving, he glanced back at the busy shop.
His daughter was skillfully operating the electronic scale at the weighing station, a confident smile on her face.
This was even better than he had imagined.
...
Su Jianguo came out of the second store, pushed his bicycle and stood on the side of the street, looking at the bustling crowd, and breathed a long sigh of relief.
The second store was doing much better than he had expected, and he was also very pleased with his daughter Su Yufen's growth.
He glanced at his watch; it was already past 3 p.m. He needed to hurry and check out Yihaodian.
He hopped on his bicycle and rode along the familiar streets toward the No. 1 store.
Arrived at Yihaodian.
Although Yihaodian's storefront is not as large as Erhaodian's.
However, the queue in front of the store was even longer than that of the second store.
Su Jianguo parked his bicycle next to the shop and strode inside.
"Boss Su! You're back!"
Wang Li, who was being weighed, was the first to spot him and exclaimed in surprise.
The other employees in the shop also looked up and greeted the boss in unison.
Li Hongmei was doing accounts behind the counter when she heard the noise. She quickly put down her pen and hurried over.
"Mr. Su, you're back! Have you taken care of everything at home?"
Li Hongmei asked with concern,
Su Jianguo nodded.
"Everything's taken care of. Thank you for your hard work these past few days."
"It's not hard work at all."
Li Hongmei quickly waved her hand.
"With you gone, we should take even better care of the shop."
Su Jianguo looked around. The shop was spotless, the vegetables on the shelves were neatly arranged, and the price tags were clearly visible.
Customers lined up in an orderly fashion, and several servers worked busily but methodically.
He was very satisfied with all of this.
"How are the accounts?"
Su Jianguo asked.
"I've written it all down. Would you like to look at it now?"
As Li Hongmei spoke, she went to get the account book.
"No rush, let me wander around first."
