270 Fire-breathing Flower-obsessed Man

After eating a full lunch, Li Wei felt too sleepy and took a short nap.

Da Luo held his textbooks and read with her. There was still more than a month until their school's final exams. Since the start of the semester, he had only glanced at the books a few times during the winter break, and hadn't looked at them at all the rest of the time, let alone attended classes.

Regardless, he still needs to get an outstanding graduate diploma. While he was recovering from his illness, his supervisor said that as long as he graduated well, his employer would take care of the job arrangements, so he didn't need to worry about it. He figured he'd get promoted faster in the future.

Li Wei got up after sleeping for just over an hour. Her movement startled Da Luo, who saw that Li Wei looked dazed and still hadn't slept enough. He said softly, "Why didn't you sleep a little longer? Anyway, you don't have any classes and there's nothing else to do."

Li Wei rubbed her eyes: "I'm not going to sleep. It's my classmate's birthday tonight, and I promised to go over. I need to talk to Aunt Gao about something first, and then I have to go out and buy her a gift. I have a lot to do, and I don't even have time to read. Why should I sleep?"

The so-called "discussion with Aunt Gao" was just that someone's injury this time was probably quite serious. Otherwise, given his physical condition, he wouldn't have been bedridden for more than a month. No matter how she asked, he would just brush it off and not tell the truth. Li Wei simply stopped asking. This guy is tight-lipped. Anyway, he's fine now, which is better than anything else.

So, after discussing it with Aunt Gao, we decided to make a nourishing soup for him every day to replenish his blood and energy. The recipe was basically finalized. Then, Li Wei and Aunt Gao took it to a nearby pharmacy to have a doctor revise it, get the medicine, buy fresh and reliable ingredients for the soup, and also went to buy gifts. They were busy all afternoon.

When I got home, I found that Mr. Mou was missing. I asked Sister Wei, and she said that he had gone out after receiving a phone call and said that he would be back later in the evening. She said that he had eaten out and that I didn't need to wait for him to have dinner.

Li Wei peeked out the window and saw that the car was gone; it had probably driven away.

I don't know if she went for a follow-up medical check-up, Sister Wei doesn't know either.

Li Wei and Aunt Gao arranged a week's worth of soup recipes. Li Wei checked the time, played with the baby for a while, then went upstairs to take a shower, changed her clothes, and looked at the beautifully packaged little gift box containing a pretty crystal apple, which she planned to give to Xu Ting as a gift.

Li Wei planned to go later. She ate something simple and drank a bowl of soup that Aunt Gao had just made. Feeling it wasn't quite done, she asked Aunt Gao to simmer it a little longer. She spent some time with the baby in the nursery before saying goodbye to Aunt Gao and leaving.

When Li Wei arrived at the restaurant Xu Ting had mentioned, it was already past 5:30. She went upstairs and, following the waiter's directions, found the private room where Xu Ting and her group were.

The moment I pushed open the door, a wave of noisy heat hit me.

This private room is huge. There were over twenty people in it, and they didn't seem to mind the crowd. In the middle was a very large table, laden with a wide variety of dishes. In the center was a large birthday cake with candles on it, though they didn't appear to be lit yet.

Maria, who was sitting directly opposite the door, had sharp eyes. She spotted Li Wei as she entered and quickly called out, "Li Wei, why are you so late? Hurry up! We've been waiting for you. Come, come, sit here!"

A large group of people. Li Wei felt dizzy. Without looking closely, she went straight around half a table to Xu Ting and Ma Liya. First, she presented their gifts: "Happy Birthday!"

Xu Ting was very happy and smiled as she said thank you and accepted it.

Xu Ting had clearly dressed up carefully today. Her thin-strapped dress accentuated her graceful figure, and she wore makeup. She was already beautiful, but now she was absolutely radiant.

Maria was no less stunning, having also dressed up meticulously. However, she possessed a beauty that carried a touch of arrogance, and her attire was elegant and pure, all in white, a stark contrast to Xu Ting's fiery passion.

Li Wei couldn't be too casual for such an occasion, but since they were all classmates, which was different from adults, she chose a high-necked dress with a lively and elegant style, featuring flowers and ruffles. The dress was ivory white on the inside and covered with pale green magnolia blossoms on the outside.

A small silver leather backpack with a long silver chain slung across her shoulder, used for holding change and tissues, looked harmonious and playful.

Several light green ribbons hung from the edges of the three-quarter sleeves, the hem reached her knees, and she wore a pair of white strappy high-heeled sandals.

Her skin was crystal clear, which complemented the equally crystal clear platinum crystal chain on her wrist.

With her black hair cascading down her shoulders, bright eyes, and white teeth, the beautiful woman entered gracefully, and the room immediately quieted down.

Tang Ying picked out a hardcover diary from Xu Ting's pile of gifts and pointed to the girl on the cover, saying to Li Wei, "Li Wei, look, doesn't this look like you?"

Maria and several other girls gathered around to look, and one of them immediately agreed: "That's right, it does look quite similar. The hair and the dress are a bit alike, but this dress seems to be longer."

Seeing that everyone's attention had shifted, Xu Ting quickly said, "Stop discussing it now. Everyone's here, let's blow out the candles and eat cake. I'm starving! Li Wei, give me a little performance later. We haven't eaten anything while waiting for you. Do you know what it's like to stare at a table full of food like that!"

Li Wei knew she was exaggerating, but she still smiled and said, "No problem, the birthday person is the most important today, whatever you say is fine."

In no time, there was blowing out candles, everyone cheering and making wishes, and then everyone came over.

Li Wei then took a good look at the people who had come. Besides a few boys and girls from her own class, there were a few others she seemed to have seen in a large lecture in another class from the same major.

Li Wei had never met more than half of the remaining people, and most of them were boys. Li Wei thought to herself, it seems that Xu Ting has quite a wide circle of friends.

While Li Wei was looking at him, two unfamiliar boys were also looking at her. Two of them even smiled at her. Judging from their appearance and demeanor, they didn't seem like students. Li Wei wasn't sure, and she didn't know where Xu Ting had found them.

After blowing out the candles, everyone shared the cake and started eating and drinking. The main dish was a wine similar to grape juice, which had a sweet taste and was quite nice. The girls drank it like a beverage, while each of the boys had a can of beer.

While everyone ate and chatted, Xu Ting and Ma Liya began introducing the guests. As they went through the introductions, Li Wei barely remembered anyone, but she did know that most of the unfamiliar faces were students from other universities—including nearby art academies, universities of science and technology, and finance colleges—representing no fewer than five or six different institutions.

However, most of them were Xu Ting's high school classmates or alumni.

In the midst of the lively atmosphere, Li Wei was asked to sing a song. Two people had already sung, so Li Wei thought for a moment, found a beautiful and short English song, and sang it for Xu Ting. She didn't feel awkward at all, since everyone was in high spirits. But when asked to sing another song, she just smiled and remained silent.

Today's main character is Xu Ting, so no one should steal the spotlight. In particular, several boys from other schools switched seats with Ma Liya and Tang Ying next to them and eagerly asked Li Wei about her dormitory and phone number, making Li Wei feel very uncomfortable.

She managed a polite smile as she dealt with the students from the art academy (?) and the university of science and technology (?). Li Wei had never experienced such blatant advances before; she had encountered more subtle ones before, but she had always pretended not to know and gotten away with it.

The person from the Academy of Fine Arts has a rather unique air about him. His hair is a bit long, but not to the point of being unpleasant. He's also quite good-looking. Although his clothes are rather casual, they match his overall demeanor well. He's clearly older than everyone else. According to his enthusiastic introduction, he's a teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts, has been staying on for two years, and his name is Lei Dongsheng. He's preparing to take the entrance exam for the graduate program in oil painting at the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts.

Perhaps art students are more enthusiastic. From the moment Li Wei entered, this guy stared at her intently like a wild beast that had spotted its prey. He was also the first to rush over and forcibly switch seats with Maria, shooing Maria aside. He was frank and domineering, but because he was also quite genuine, he wasn't annoying.

The other one, which Li Wei now also knows, is Zhao Rui, a third-year student in the School of Finance and Economics, and a high school classmate of Xu Ting. Although he wasn't as frank and direct as Lei Dongsheng, the meaning was still very clear; even a blind person could see it.

Led by Lei Dongsheng, the two began investigating Li Wei's background, asking her about her dormitory room, phone number, home address, phone number, favorite places to go, movies she watches, and snacks she eats.

There were many things Li Wei herself didn't know, and even those she did know, she didn't want to tell strangers. It was driving her to the brink of collapse. In the end, she said, "I have a boyfriend, really." That was how she dealt with all the questions.

But the effect was obviously minimal, and Li Wei became anxious: "Actually, I'm already married and have three children, really." After saying that, she regretted her slip of the tongue and broke out in a cold sweat.

This time, not only Lei Dongsheng and Zhao Rui, but also Tang Ying, Xu Ting, and the other boys and girls who were watching the fun all burst into laughter.

If people still doubt or even believe Li Wei when she says she has a boyfriend, then this last sentence makes it impossible to believe her even if one wanted to.

What is real can be made fake, and what is fake can be made real.

Li Wei forgot that her little mess was truly absurd. She immediately brought over those three little ones who were now crawling around everywhere, and Lei Dongsheng and Zhao Rui thought she had brought over relatives' children as a shield.

Seeing everyone's reactions, Li Wei -_-

But she couldn't possibly be a respectable young woman with a family to deceive the feelings of an innocent (?) young man.

Li Wei was pressed by the questions and couldn't handle the two boys' blatant enthusiasm. She suddenly stood up and said, "Hey Xu Ting, I'm going back now. I have things to do at home. My sister is going out tonight and asked me to come back early to help her take care of the kids. I have to go now. You guys have fun, bye-bye."

After saying that, he broke through the encirclement and fled without even hearing Xu Ting and Ma Liya's shouts.

I almost bumped into a waiter serving dishes halfway there, but without turning back, I jumped into a taxi outside the restaurant and sped away.

After getting on the bus, I took out a tissue from my small bag, wiped my sweat and sighed to myself. Damn, I'm really getting old. I can't handle these guys anymore. How can they be so blatant in flirting with girls? That's too much!

I've never encountered anything like this before, and I never imagined there would be guys like this.

I thought Luo was already shameless enough back then, but I never expected that there would be even more mountains to climb and buildings to stand taller than the last. When boys get carried away with their crushes, their shamelessness really knows no bounds.

The only consolation is that I seem to be a real flower now, and I hope I'm not just a weed.
