Ye Yuchen turned to look at Ye Anran, "I don't know. They should have already realized we weren't in the car, and they've probably caught up with us."

Ye Anran looked at Ye Yuchen with a firm gaze.

So he stood up.

They were even more determined to find a place to stay as soon as possible.

Ye Yuchen took Ye Anran's hand again and said, "Then I'll hold your hand and walk with you."

Ye Yuchen looked around and was surprised to find a small hole not far away. A look of delight flashed in his eyes.

As he spoke, he pulled Ye Anran into the small opening that was just big enough for the two of them.

The two had only been inside for a short time when the sky had completely darkened.

Animal sounds could be heard from all around from time to time.

Ye Anran approached Ye Yuchen in fear, but Ye Yuchen shielded her and said, "It's alright, don't be afraid, it's just the sound of a small animal. Don't be afraid, little sister."

Ye Anran nestled in Ye Yuchen's arms and nodded.

Ye Anran did not pull her hand away, "Brother, eat."

Along the way, apart from drinking some water when they came across the mountain, they hadn't eaten anything else.
