Dong Sanmei drove back to the company and sent a company staff member on duty to take a mineral water bottle the next morning and take a speedboat to the land to test the water quality.

Then, several security guards with construction experience, who had previously worked in coal mines, were sent to bring their tools and be driven to the foot of the mountain on the opposite island to fully open the tunnel entrance.

Dong Sanmei had the security guard bring a miniature generator from the warehouse and put it in the trunk of the car.

Although there are large generators on the island, these mobile power generation devices are indispensable. There are more than ten such generators in the warehouse, which are for temporary power supply in remote areas.

Finally, they took out some wires and lighting fixtures from the warehouse, put them in the trunk of the car.

After the group got into the car, Dong Sanmei drove it out of the company and headed towards the island on the other side of the road.

We drove to the road about a kilometer away from the cave and parked. There was no road leading up or down from there, so we had to get out of the car and walk.

She had a few people take the generator and tools, and then they walked with her towards the cave entrance at the foot of the mountain.

She led a few people to the cave entrance, placed the generator on the ground, and began working.

The rocks at the cave entrance were loose due to the shelling, and it took several people less than an hour to completely open the cave entrance with an iron pry bar, by which time it was getting dark.

Then, a few people put on headlamps, let the power cord out, and extended it all the way to the innermost hot spring pool, where it was completely secured to the cave wall.

These are all electrical wires used during construction on the island. There is a light fixture every 10 meters, and all the light fixtures are fitted with light bulbs.

Once everything is ready, connect the power cord to the miniature generator and then start the generator.

With the roar of the generator motor, the cave was instantly illuminated.

Dong Sanmei walked into the cave under the lights. The cave was not straight; it had many bends.

The cave was very well lit, so when Dong Sanmei entered the cave, she could see much more clearly than when Dong Qing entered the cave in the afternoon.

This cave shouldn't be a dead end; there must be an exit. Dong Sanmei felt a breeze carrying hot steam rushing towards her. If it were a dead end, there wouldn't be any wind in the cave.

Dong Qing also sensed this in the morning, but the entrance to the cave was too hidden and he didn't know where it was.

She stopped at the cold spring. The path leading out of the cave was a long downhill slope, and the cold spring water flowed out from the cave wall, making a crisp sound.

The cold water flows into the ditch in the middle of the cave, where it merges with the hot water and flows out of the cave. No wonder the hot spring here has not been discovered for several months. She squatted down and put her hand into the water. She felt that the water was a bit hot, but it was still hot enough to take a bath. At least she could tolerate such a high temperature.

It was too hot here, so she stood up, turned around, and walked out of the cave.

She walked to the generator outside the cave, squatted down and turned it off, plunging the cave into darkness instantly.

The only good thing about the island right now is that there aren't many people leaving, so things won't be stolen. Just leave the generator at the entrance of the cave, and you can start it whenever you need it.

Dong Sanmei and several others left the cave and walked towards the highway.

By this time, the sky had completely darkened, and the bright moonlight shone on the island, casting a layer of dim fluorescence on the night.

They walked to the road with flashlights, Dong Sanmei opened the trunk, and the group put their tools in the trunk before getting in the car and starting it to drive back.

Dong Sanmei drove the group back to the company gate. After they got out of the car, she started the car and drove towards the villa.

Back at the villa gate, the security guard opened the gate for her, drove the car into the yard, and then closed the gate behind him.

The twenty miners had already finished their shift and returned home. They had all come from their hometowns. They greeted Dongqing and his wife, then went back to their rooms to shower and change.

After dinner, Dong Sanmei and Li Yuzhu took their bath supplies, towels, and some changes of clothes and went outside the villa to get into their car. Dong Sanmei turned on the headlights, started the car, and drove out of the villa.

Half an hour later, Dong Sanmei parked the car on the road, and the two of them got out and walked down the mountain.

The two men, flashlights in hand, walked down the bumpy path towards the foot of the mountain.

Upon reaching the cave entrance, Dong Sanmei first filled the generator with fuel, then grabbed the starter rope handle and pulled it back sharply. The generator started up instantly, illuminating the area in front of and inside the cave.

To prevent the generator from spontaneously combusting and shutting off, the two men took flashlights and headed towards the cave.

It was Li Yuzhu's first time entering this cave, and the two of them walked very slowly while observing.

From the entrance to the middle of the cave, there is a deep ditch. The sides of the ditch slope gently down towards the middle, so the sides are relatively dry. There are some small puddles in some places, just avoid them.

The two walked to the edge of the pool, found a relatively high spot, casually put their clothes and bags on the ground, and then took off their clothes to take a bath.

After taking off her clothes, Dong Sanmei walked to the edge of the pool and slowly jumped into the water. It felt very hot, but she could withstand the temperature. She and Dong Qing were indeed siblings; perhaps they both had the genetic ability to withstand hot water.

Actually, taking hot baths is something you develop over time; you can tolerate it after a while, and soaking in hot water can promote blood circulation.

Li Yuzhu could only stay in the water for a maximum of five minutes. After getting out of the water, she would sit on a rock to rest for a while. After going into the water many times, she was finally able to hold on.

An hour later, the two finished showering and dried themselves off with towels.

I feel so comfortable after taking a shower; it feels different from showering in a regular public bathhouse.

Li Yuzhu said, "Didn't our skin become much whiter after we took a shower?"

Looking at herself and her siblings, Dong Sanmei said, "Yes, it seems the hot spring water here has a skin-whitening effect."

The two dried themselves off, put on clean underwear and dresses, took their clothes with them, and turned to leave.

They took flashlights and went outside the cave. The temperature outside the cave in early summer was very comfortable.

Dong Sanmei bent down and turned off the generator. The moment the lights went out, it felt like the surroundings were very dark. After the lights went out, the two of them gradually got used to the night environment.

Li Yuzhu and her third aunt turned on their flashlights and walked towards the road.
