Du Jianshan is reborn in 1971 and acquires a hundred-acre spatial dimension. Just as he is about to make his mark, his malicious relatives scheme to seize his family property and even want him to t...
"What a big wild boar!" Little Wei swallowed hard, his eyes wide open.
Du Jianshan squinted: "At least two hundred pounds. Look at those shoulders, even a viperous badger can't compare. The opportunity has arrived."
Xiao Wei lowered his voice: "Brother, should we make a move? I think this guy is tough and thick-skinned. If we miss, and it charges at us, we'll be in danger."
A cold smile flashed across Du Jianshan's face: "What's there to be afraid of? Wild boars may be fierce, but they have their weaknesses. Look at their foreheads, the bones there are the hardest; even a bullet might not be able to penetrate them. But if you hit their heart or behind their ears, it's sure to be fatal."
Xiao Wei nodded repeatedly: "Yes, yes, yes. But all we have is an old hunting rifle and a big pitchfork. If we really have to go head-to-head, we need to have a plan."
Du Jianshan licked his lips and lowered his voice: "I'll fire the shot, you take the fork and guard the side. When it's stunned after being shot, you stab it in the waist. Remember, don't panic."
Xiao Weizi's heart pounded: "If this wild boar goes crazy and lunges at us, I'm afraid my legs will go weak."
Du Jianshan sneered: "To be a hunter, you have to be willing to risk your life. Panicking is suicide."
No sooner had the words left his mouth than the wild boar suddenly pricked up its ears and sniffed the air. It slowly raised its head, its tusks gleaming white in the sunlight, and a low growl came from its throat.
Xiao Weizi was terrified, a chill running down his spine: "Oh no, it smelled me!"
Du Jianshan remained unmoved, his eyes shining instead: "Perfect timing, it's coming over."
Sure enough, the wild boar grunted and approached the pine tree. With each step it took, the ground seemed to tremble slightly. Xiao Weizi subconsciously gripped the fork tighter, his palms sweating profusely.
"Don't move!" Du Jianshan whispered, "Wait until it gets closer."
The breathing became heavy, as if the entire forest was suffocating. The wild boar nudged aside a clump of dead branches and was about to circle around to the crooked-necked pine.
"Now!" Du Jianshan suddenly leaned forward and fired his gun.
"Bang!" A flock of birds was startled into flight from the forest.
The bullet, flashing, struck the wild boar in the shoulder. The boar jerked violently, let out a muffled roar, and rolled over, but did not fall. Its blood-red eyes widened instantly, and it charged wildly at the two men.
"Here I am!" Xiao Wei shouted, his legs almost giving way.
As Du Jianshan rapidly loaded the gun, he yelled, "Push the fork against its back!"
The wild boar was almost upon them, its tusks gleaming menacingly. Little Wei Zi, eyes closed, desperately thrust his long fork forward. With a "thud," the fork tip pierced the boar's flesh.
The wild boar roared in pain, twisting its body and throwing Xiao Weizi to the ground. Xiao Weizi rolled twice, nearly hitting his head on a rock, looking utterly disheveled.
Du Jianshan reacted swiftly, firing a second shot that struck the wild boar right behind its ear with a loud bang. The boar grunted, its limbs stiffened, and it collapsed into the grass, sending dirt flying.
The woods fell silent again, save for the heavy breathing.
Xiao Wei struggled to his feet, his head covered in sweat and his legs trembling: "I...I'm still alive?"
Du Jianshan laughed heartily and patted him on the shoulder: "Kid, you've done a great job today. If it hadn't been for that fork you used to stab it, it would have charged over long ago."
Xiao Wei let out a long sigh and slumped to the ground: "My god, this wild boar is fiercer than an ox. It almost scared the soul out of me."
Du Jianshan bent down to examine the wild boar and saw that its mouth and nose were still twitching. He pulled out his hunting knife and slit its throat. Blood gushed out, and the stench was overwhelming.
