Shi Yangyang was labeled by the entire village as a "madwoman" who was constantly criticized behind her back,
yet she was his Zhang Cheng's officially married wife.
In her p...
Li Yuanyuan's initial plan was to first gather the business owners in Jiaxing who were being suffocated by the "Jiaxing Gang" into a chamber of commerce.
After Jiang Yuhong acquired the cannery, he used Jiang's influence to establish a chamber of commerce in Funing County.
With the two cities working together and joining forces, the local business owners in Jiaxing simply couldn't stop them.
But Zhang Cheng's sudden high profile meant the plan had to be changed.
Li Yuanyuan couldn't fathom Zhang Cheng's entire plan, but she knew she had to speed things up.
There aren't many large factories in Funing County, and even fewer private enterprises, so her only target is the state-owned enterprises.
State-owned enterprises can certainly join chambers of commerce, provided that they have absolute say within the chamber.
A pedicab stopped outside the glass factory.
The old gatekeeper, who had been dozing off in his chair, suddenly stared wide-eyed when he saw the newcomer.
Li Yuanyuan was dressed in a fashionable outfit, exuding elegance, with a perfectly timed smile on her face.
"Sir, I'm looking for Secretary Jiang."
"Looking for Secretary Jiang?" The old man's attitude softened considerably. "Do you have an appointment?"
"Please pass on my name, Li Yuanyuan, the owner of Yangcheng Clothing Store."
"Yang Cheng..." the old foreman muttered, referring to the name that everyone in the county knew recently. He hesitated for a moment, then nodded and turned to call out towards the factory area:
"Erpizi, go tell Secretary Jiang that Mr. Li from Yangcheng Clothing Store is looking for us!"
Many workers inside the factory looked over upon hearing the noise, and when they saw the pretty Li Yuanyuan standing at the door, they burst into laughter and whistles.
Not long after, a middle-aged man in work clothes ran quickly out of the office building; it was Secretary Jiang Dashan.
He ran to the door and looked Li Yuanyuan up and down with a puzzled expression: "Hello, I'm Jiang Dashan, and you are?"
"Li Yuanyuan." Li Yuanyuan extended her right hand, smiling broadly.
Jiang Dashan looked at the fair hand, feeling somewhat embarrassed. With dozens of eyes watching from behind, he was afraid his wife would hear, so he didn't dare shake it, only nodding.
"Mr. Li, what can I do for you?"
"Secretary Jiang, shall we say this here?" Li Yuanyuan's gaze held a hint of amusement.
Jiang Dashan then realized what was happening, quickly apologized, and stepped aside to invite her into the factory.
The Party Secretary's office is on the third floor of the office building.
To avoid suspicion, Jiang Dashan specially invited the deputy factory director, Jiang Guomin, to accompany him.
He poured Li Yuanyuan a cup of hot tea and placed it in front of her: "Ms. Li, let's sit down and talk."
"Okay." Li Yuanyuan smiled and sat up straight.
"What brings Mr. Li here?" Jiang Dashan asked bluntly. The clothing store and the glass factory were completely unrelated.
"Secretary Jiang, I've come here today to invite the glass factory to join the Funing County Chamber of Commerce."
Jiang Dashan was taken aback, then waved his hand: "Mr. Li, you must have come to the wrong place. Our glass factory is a state-owned enterprise, why would we need to join any chamber of commerce?"
“Secretary Jiang’s words are incorrect.” Li Yuanyuan leaned forward slightly.
"Why can't state-owned enterprises join in? As the leading enterprise in Funing County, shouldn't the glass factory lead us small and medium-sized enterprises to respond to the city's call for development?"
She paused for a moment, then offered her first bargaining chip: "Secretary Jiang should know about the cannery being acquired, right?"
Jiang Dashan nodded.
"General Manager Jiang Yuhong, who acquired the cannery, will also bring the new cannery into the Chamber of Commerce. General Manager Jiang is from Shanghai, and you should know his influence. Also, I am nominally the owner of Yangcheng Clothing Store, but the real owner is Zhang Cheng, who is on the front page of today's newspaper."
Jiang Dashan hadn't read the newspaper yet, but he had heard the name Zhang Cheng before.
Li Yuanyuan continued to exert pressure:
"Now that Funing County has been upgraded to a prefecture-level city, the city leaders are going all out to revitalize the economy, with various support policies constantly being introduced. As local enterprises, we should share the burden with the government... Secretary Jiang, other counties and cities already have chambers of commerce, and I believe the city leaders are also happy to see our Funing County entrepreneurs unite. As the leader of a leading state-owned enterprise, your sense of responsibility is commendable..."
Jiang Guomin, the deputy factory director standing to the side, suppressed a smile. Usually, Jiang Da was the one who used grand principles to intimidate them, but today he was outmaneuvered by a young girl using the same tactics.
If you, Jiang Dashan, refuse this high praise, you will be irresponsible and betray the trust of the Municipal Party Committee.
Jiang Dashan stopped talking, picked up his teacup, and silently drank his tea.
This little girl is amazing.
"Mr. Li, this is a serious matter. Our factory needs to hold a meeting to discuss it." He put down his teacup and began to evade the question.
“Okay.” Li Yuanyuan stood up decisively. “Then I won’t bother you any longer. Secretary Jiang, Director Jiang, I still need to go to the light bulb factory.”
Jiang Dashan and Jiang Guomin escorted her out of the factory.
Watching Li Yuanyuan's departing figure, Jiang Dashan frowned and looked at Jiang Guomin beside him: "What do you think?"
"What do I think?" Jiang Guomin curled his lip. "His last words were a blatant threat. Didn't you realize that?"
"Currently, the glass factory's biggest customer is the cannery. The new owner of the cannery is Jiang Yuhong, and Jiang Yuhong, Li Yuanyuan, and Zhang Cheng behind her are in cahoots."
"Even without the cannery, our glass factory won't go out of business!" Jiang Dashan snorted.
"It won't collapse, but it will be very difficult. Don't forget, the light bulb factory isn't incapable of making glass, as long as they're willing to change their production line... The person specifically mentioned the light bulb factory before leaving, just to tell you."
Jiang Dashan's face darkened completely.
"Let's go, let's have a meeting! We need to finalize this as soon as possible, lest things get complicated!"
...
The light bulb factory was much larger than the glass factory; it was a project that the county leaders had begged and pleaded with the provincial government to secure.
Factory Party Secretary Yu met Li Yuanyuan in his office.
