Liu Xiaomeng stormed out of the bookstore, opened the car door, and got in.

Sitting in the car, Ye Jianguo's face was gloomy. He asked unhappily, "Why did it take you so long to buy a book?"

Liu Xiaomeng was about to say that she had encountered Su Xiulan and her "lover," but she swallowed the words back.

Ye Jianguo would go crazy whenever he heard Su Xiulan's name. Smashing things and cursing were minor things; he would even hit people.

"Elementary books are hard to find, and the shopkeeper searched for a long time, which is why we were delayed. Now that we've bought the books, let's go. Mom is waiting for us to go back and see her grandson."

She forced a smile and urged Ye Jianguo to leave quickly.

Ye Jianguo's eyes were cold and deep as he looked at Liu Xiaomeng with displeasure. His intuition told him that Liu Xiaomeng was definitely hiding something from him.

His gaze fell on the bookstore entrance, where he saw Su Xiulan come out, followed by a refined-looking man.

Sitting in the car, Ye Jianguo's already gloomy face became even more terrifying, his eyes like poisoned blades, staring intently at Xie Lin'an.

He suddenly pulled open the car door, which slammed heavily against the car body with a loud bang, startling the sparrows by the roadside into flight.

His face was contorted with rage, like a maddened beast. He rushed to Xie Lin'an in a few steps, grabbed Xie Lin'an by the collar, and lifted him up.

"Who are you to her? What's your relationship? Tell me!" Ye Jianguo's roar was filled with endless anger and jealousy, and his spittle flew onto Xie Lin'an's face.

Su Xiulan was startled by this sudden turn of events. She had just seen Ye Jianguo appear and hadn't even had time to react when she saw the two of them already wrestling.

"Ye Jianguo, what's wrong with you? Let go and get off me!" Su Xiulan shouted anxiously, her voice full of anger and confusion.

Seeing that Su Xiulan was still protecting this "wild man," Ye Jianguo's anger flared up even more. He gritted his teeth, clenched his fist, and punched Xie Lin'an hard in the eyes.

Xie Lin'an sensed that the other party was about to attack. Despite being in danger, he maintained the composure expected of a teacher and tried to reason with Ye Jianguo. "Sir, we are complete strangers. It is wrong to resort to violence. I have only just met Comrade Su Xiulan."

He tried his best to keep his tone calm, but Ye Jianguo wouldn't listen. At that moment, all he could see was Su Xiulan and the man in front of him together, and jealousy made him lose his mind.

Xie Lin'an's words failed to stop Ye Jianguo's violence. With one punch, Ye Jianguo's glasses shattered instantly, the lens cut his cheek, and his eye socket quickly turned bruised and purple.

Xie Lin'an was not a pedantic person, and he could not stand by and watch others hit him. When Ye Jianguo swung his fist at him again, he caught the other man's fist with quick reflexes.

As the five fingers closed, a few "crunching" sounds were heard.

Ye Jianguo originally thought that the other party was just a weak "dog" who couldn't even kill a chicken, but he didn't expect that the other party would fight back. This time, not only did he not gain the upper hand, but his arm was also gripped painfully by Xie Lin'an.

Seeing this, Su Xiulan could no longer suppress her anger. She raised her foot and kicked Ye Jianguo hard in the abdomen with all her might.

With that kick, Ye Jianguo flew out like a tattered sack, his back slamming heavily onto the car, causing the car to sway a few times.

This scene instantly attracted a crowd of onlookers, who stopped in their tracks, their faces filled with curiosity and excitement, as if watching a spectacular show.

"This woman is clearly a femme fatale. Could it be that she seduced someone else's man, got caught red-handed, and got beaten up?"

A shrill voice came from the crowd. "Tsk tsk tsk, so blatantly shameless in broad daylight, so immoral! If you marry her, you'll never have peace at home."

Another older woman chimed in, shaking her head as she spoke.

More and more people gathered around, pointing and whispering about Su Xiulan.

Liu Xiaomeng held her child and cried beside her, looking as if she had suffered a great injustice.

"Su Xiulan, you've already divorced Ye Jianguo, yet you still come to ruin my relationship with him. What are you up to?! You're not satisfied with seducing other men, you have to try and seduce my man too! How can you be so vicious!"

Her crying and fussing caused an uproar among the crowd. They hadn't expected things to be so complicated. The voices criticizing Su Xiulan grew louder, filled with contempt, ridicule, and curses.

At that moment, Meng Shuyun was looking for Su Xiulan with the exam paper when she heard the crowd's cursing from afar.

She was puzzled, so she quickly pushed through the crowd and squeezed inside. She saw Su Xiulan trying to break up the fight, while Liu Xiaomeng was pretending to be pitiful. But upon closer inspection, she couldn't see a single tear.

Meng Shuyun could guess what was going on even with her toes.

She didn't care whether Liu Xiaomeng was holding a child or not. She took a few steps forward, grabbed Liu Xiaomeng, and blocked her in front of Ye Jianguo. She stared straight at Ye Jianguo and said, word by word, "Go ahead and hit him. If you're so capable, hit your son."

These words were like a bomb, instantly silencing the entire room. Everyone was stunned by Meng Shuyun's bold move.

Ye Jianguo gritted his teeth in anger and slammed his fist hard on the car, making a loud crash. He glared fiercely at Xie Lin'an and roared resentfully, "Su Xiulan, are you that desperate for a man? You'll take anyone for granted. What makes him better than me?"

Su Xiulan took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down, and said, "We've been divorced for so long, what kind of person I want to find has nothing to do with you."

Meng Shuyun interrupted their conversation, pointing her finger directly at Liu Xiaomeng and saying sternly, "Tell me, who seduced whose man and was messing around outside?"
