Xu Xinchen didn't care about Lin Lina's current predicament. Anyone who dared to talk about her behind her back had to be prepared to be slapped in the face. All she knew was that she felt incredibly good after talking about Lin Lina.

When I was getting my food, I couldn't help but ask the cafeteria lady to give me a little extra. After talking about the gossipy people behind my back, I suddenly felt quite hungry.

Xu Xinchen glanced at the trays in their hands; there was still food left on the plates. She then looked back at where they had been sitting. Lin Lina was no longer there; she must have been ostracized by these people.

The group approached Xu Xinchen, their faces showing apologetic smiles, and said, "Excuse me, may we sit here?"

Xu Xinchen turned her head and glanced at Lin Bingchun sitting opposite her. Lin Bingchun nodded to Xu Xinchen, and Xu Xinchen then moved further inside and said to the person who had just spoken to her, "Please sit down."

The women breathed a sigh of relief when they saw that Xu Xinchen and Lin Bingchun had agreed to sit with them. They took their plates and sat down. As soon as they sat down, they began to introduce themselves and their departments to Xu Xinchen.

Upon hearing this, Xu Xinchen realized that these girls were all from the accounting department, and couldn't help but smile slightly. No wonder so many girls could be gathered in one department; they were all accountants.

After the girls from the accounting department sat down, they chatted aimlessly with Xu Xinchen and the others. After a while, the girl who had spoken to Xu Xinchen said, "You are really different from what Lin Lina said. I wonder how many lies she told us."

Another girl from the accounting department said to her, "Yes, you're nothing like what Lin Lina said. I'm so sorry, we misunderstood you just now and even joined Lin Lina in scolding you."

Xu Xinchen said with a wry smile, "It's okay, you all know what kind of person she is now anyway. Besides, I didn't hear what you were saying to me just now, so let's just forget about it."

Seeing that Xu Xinchen didn't mind what had just happened, the girls from the accounting department stopped mentioning Lin Lina, that troublemaker who was full of lies, and started discussing new topics with each other, chatting and laughing.

In a corner of the cafeteria, Lin Lina held a plate in her hand, her fingers digging hard into the plate. Her eyes were filled with resentment as she stared at Xu Xinchen, as if she wanted to tear him to pieces.

Xu Xinchen keenly sensed that someone was watching her, but when she turned her head to look around, she couldn't see where the person was. Everyone was eating and chatting, and no one was paying much attention to her.

Xu Xinchen looked several times but still couldn't find the person, so she lowered her head and started eating, secretly laughing at herself for being too paranoid.

Perhaps because she was new to the company, Xu Xinchen was unfamiliar with its affairs. The whole day seemed to fly by. Before she could even react, Lin Bingchun walked up to her, tapped on her desk, and said, "Min Shi, it's time to go home. Let's go together."

Not far from Xu Xinchen's company building, Chen Ningsheng had already parked his car there, and he was sitting there.

He was sitting in the back seat of the car, reading a document.

When the driver reminded Chen Ningsheng that Xu Xinchen had arrived, Chen Ningsheng finally looked up from his documents and smiled as he watched Xu Xinchen run towards the car.

Xu Xinchen ran to the car, opened the door, sat in the back seat, and asked Chen Ningsheng, "I'm sorry, did I keep you waiting too long?"

Chen Ningsheng's smiling face froze, and he stared at Xu Xinchen in disbelief: "Who were you just apologizing to?"

Xu Xinchen pursed her lips and gave a bright smile: "I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to the driver."

I guess I'd been exchanging pleasantries at the company all day, and I subconsciously said something polite to Chen Ningsheng. Only after realizing it did I understand that I'd said the wrong thing.

Chen Ningsheng was still very dissatisfied after hearing Xu Xinchen's words: "You just clearly said 'you guys,' but the word 'you guys' isn't used to describe one person alone, is it?"
