"Isn't this your biological brother? Your lover?" The man felt uncomfortable being stared at and put down his book to ask.

"It's my cousin," Qin Xiaoyu lied, her face flushing red.

"Does that matter?" Zhou Xing said coldly.

"I won't bother you anymore, I'm going to find a quiet place to sleep!" the man said, picking up his luggage and heading to the next room.

Qin Xiaoyu gave Zhou Xing a look, letting him figure it out himself. Zhou Xing had no choice but to sit down opposite her.

"The transportation here is really inconvenient. If possible, let's bring Wenwen back," Zhou Xing said thoughtfully.

"You call this inconvenient? We'll talk about it once you're in the car," Qin Xiaoyu said irritably.

“She’s really crazy, why would she cause such trouble? You don’t know Wenwen well. I’ve known her much longer; we were classmates since first grade and sat next to each other many times. She used to be my nightmare.” Zhou Xing sighed.

"She bullied you?" Qin Xiaoyu asked, a little curious.

"She has a crush on me, haha." Zhou Xing grinned.

"You're narcissistic," Qin Xiaoyu said, giving him a disgusted look.

"Think what you will, anyway, she bullied me for five whole years. Then we graduated, and at the graduation party, she hugged me and cried, vowing never to bully me again. From then on, we became friends." Zhou Xing shrugged.

"Wasn't Jing Tian in your class at that time?"

"Jingtian transferred here in high school, I think it was his senior year. When we were divided into classes in our senior year, Wenwen and I went to different classes. She got into the honors class, but I didn't. She's always been a top student."

"So they don't know each other." Qin Xiaoyu realized that relationships between people really are about fate; if it's meant to be, you can't escape it.

"I knew this girl was crazy, but to this extent is beyond my imagination."

"No matter what, I support her choice, and I will do my best to help her clean up the mess," Qin Xiaoyu said, though she herself was unsure of herself.

After exiting Nenjiang Station, Qin Xiaoyu determined the direction and found the guesthouse according to her memory.

She decided to stop taking the night train and would rather stay overnight than experience that nightmarish night again.

There was already a person standing at the registration window of the guesthouse, with most of his body leaning in, filling out some form.

When he looked away from the window, he was met with Qin Xiaoyu's awkward smile.

This is the man on the train. Qin Xiaoyu glanced at the name on the registration form; his name was Deng Jianyan.

"So your destination wasn't Nenjiang after all," Deng Jianyan said deliberately, teasing Qin Xiaoyu.

"How would I know? It was all arranged by my brother." Qin Xiaoyu directly shifted the blame to Zhou Xing.

"That's the cafeteria over there. Hurry up, the food will be gone soon. The rooms are in the back. Make sure to lock the door when you go to sleep tonight, remember that." Deng Jianyan finished speaking, picked up his luggage, and left.

Last time, Qin Xiaoyu and Tang Wenwen were newcomers and wasted a lot of time. This time, they were more familiar with the place and managed to get a hot meal in the cafeteria.

"Fan Qi, I want chicken-scrambled tofu." Deng Jianyan arrived at the cafeteria window a step ahead of them, and the person running inside seemed to know him very well.

"Hey, Old Deng's back! He'll dig your own XXX!" A plate was thrown out of the window, containing a piece of white tofu, steaming hot and looking very appetizing.

"I want a piece of tofu too!" Qin Xiaoyu hurriedly ran over and called out.

"That's all. Let Old Deng give you half; he doesn't like tofu." A strange laugh came from the shop window. It seemed that seeing such a beautiful girl as Qin Xiaoyu, it would be a sin not to flirt with her.

"What other dishes are there? Something hot," Qin Xiaoyu asked, glaring at him.

"Little sister, tell me what you want to eat, I can make it for you. But I can't make tofu, it's too slow, it takes a long time to grind it, grind and grind, until it gets dark, and my little sister is starving." Fan Qi got excited, half lying on the platform inside, with a wicked smile on his face, talking to Qin Xiaoyu while wiggling his butt.

The people behind them burst out laughing and all looked over.

Zhou Xing had gone to settle his luggage first and arrived a step late. Seeing this, he strode over. There was a dish of soy sauce with some chili oil drizzled on it by the window. It was for Deng Jianyan to dip tofu in. He picked it up and splashed it on Fan Qi's face, soaking him. Fan Qi rubbed his eyes and yelled.

"Damn it! What are you doing! You're tired of living, aren't you! I'll kill you!" Fan Qi was furious. He grabbed a ladle of water and poured it over his face, then turned around and grabbed a kitchen knife. The other people in the cafeteria were afraid of trouble, probably because this guy was usually a troublemaker, so they scattered and ran away, and no one stopped him.

"Xiaoyu, step back!" Zhou Xing shielded Qin Xiaoyu behind him, picked up a chair, and prepared for battle.

"What are you doing! Fan Qi, stop!" Deng Jianyan shouted, and to his surprise, the hothead actually stopped.

"Old Deng! Are you just going to watch me get bullied?"

"You're so cheeky! That's my sister. We came on the same train. Give me some face. I brought you two bottles of good wine. I was planning to drink with you tonight. Forget it, let's go!" Deng Jianyan somehow managed to coax and persuade Fan Qi to leave.

Qin Xiaoyu finally breathed a sigh of relief, and Zhou Xing also put the chair down.

"What would you like to eat? It's almost lunchtime," a plump woman asked as she approached.

"Just make sure it's hot, whatever you think is fine." Qin Xiaoyu was still shaken and had no interest in ordering.

"The steamed egg will be ready in five minutes. We also have millet porridge, freshly steamed buns, and red bean buns. You tell me what you want to eat." The older sister-in-law was quick and efficient. Qin Xiaoyu ordered a steamed egg and then took the millet porridge with Zhou Xing to eat first.

“Young man, don’t be so hot-tempered. Have you ever heard the saying, ‘Even a mighty dragon can’t suppress a local snake?’ It’s because Old Deng is here that this beast is in charge. Otherwise, who would be able to control him? You’d be in trouble. How can you not cause trouble when you’re out with girls? You’re still young.” The older sister-in-law was busy with her hands but didn’t stop talking, making Zhou Xing blush and lower his head.

"I thought I was mature, but I'm still like this. It's really discouraging," Zhou Xing said in a low voice.

"Maturity doesn't happen overnight. Did you eat fertilizer?" Qin Xiaoyu had to reassure her.

After the two finished their meal, they returned to their room. Once inside, Qin Xiaoyu finally understood what Deng Jianyan meant by locking the door.

This was the quietest time at the guesthouse. A large room with ten beds had only Qin Xiaoyu in it. The room wasn't heated enough, and the windows let in drafts. Qin Xiaoyu took off her coat, slipped into bed wearing only her sweater and under the covers, and quickly crawled out again, freezing. She wasn't even warm enough to wear a padded coat yet.

Qin Xiaoyu had managed to warm herself up from the hot meal, but she ruined it all, leaving her shivering with her shoulders hunched over.

There was a knock on the door.

Qin Xiaoyu asked nervously, "Who is it?"

"Open the door." It was a woman's voice.
