Chapter 353 Mother and Son Reunited

"Who sent it? Didn't you say you were going to Shanghai alone and had some acquaintances there?" Qi Si overheard this and came over to inquire.

"We'll talk about it when we get home," Jiang Fusheng said, smoothing things over for Qin Xiaoyu. Fearing another interrogation from Qi Si, Qin Xiaoyu immediately got into Jiang Fusheng's car.

Tang Wenwen didn't sit in the passenger seat; she stuffed the last suitcase inside. Qin Xiaoyu reluctantly watched her get in as she opened the back door.

"Sister-in-law, tell the truth," Tang Wenwen said with a wicked smile.

"It's that Lei who saved me. It's nothing, we can't be together," Qin Xiaoyu said casually.

"Nothing is impossible in this world," Tang Wenwen retorted, leaning closer.

“That’s right, nothing is impossible in this world,” Jiang Fusheng suddenly said, and Tang Wenwen instantly deflated like a punctured balloon, losing all interest.

It was unusual for the Jiang family to be so lively, with so many people arriving all at once. Auntie was already very welcoming upon hearing they were all relatives of Tang Wenwen. Seeing the two adorable children with them, she was overjoyed. She went into the inner room and fumbled around for a while, then came out carrying two silver longevity locks.

"One for each of you, given to you by your great-aunt." The aunt smiled as she hung the paper up for the two children.

Both Fourth Sister-in-law and Fourth Sister-in-law's mother love money, so they were naturally happy to see the gifts, and their words were as sweet as honey.

Jiang Fusheng's courtyard consisted of three rooms connected together, one of which was given to Qi Si and his wife.

Tang Wenwen had an empty room in her courtyard, so her fourth sister-in-law and the nanny lived there together. Qin Xiaoyu slept in a double bed with Wenwen.

It took a while to tidy everything up, and a table of food had already been set out in front of us.

"It's too rushed. Just make a few simple dishes and we'll prepare a welcome feast tonight," my aunt said modestly.

"Thank you for your trouble, Auntie. We've brought our whole family here, we feel so bad," Qin Xiaoyu said politely.

"Don't say that. It's so quiet here. I'm overjoyed that so many people came today."

The two little ones are already over eight months old, which is the most adorable age. They are both good-looking and clean. The aunt took a few bites and then got up from the table to hold one and then the other.

Tang Wenwen kept trying to hide it, not daring to look at Xiao Zichen too much, but her gaze would unconsciously drift over. Mother and child are connected at heart; the child was right in front of her, but she dared not acknowledge him. This feeling was truly unbearable.

Jiang Fusheng didn't mention the true relationship between Qi Si and Qin Xiaoyu. It would be a long story, and explaining it would easily lead to irrelevant matters. He simply said that they were siblings.

Auntie always thought Qi Si was Qin Xiaoyu's brother from her maternal side. She even told Chen Ma that the brother was as tall as an iron tower and the sister was petite and pretty.

"These twins don't look alike at all. This little guy doesn't look like his mom, his dad, or his aunt..." The aunt held Xiao Zichen and muttered to herself, a little confused. This child doesn't look like any of them.

Qin Xiaoyu knew in her heart that this child had to be hidden well; he was a spitting image of Jing Tian's face. When he was little, he looked like Tang Wenwen, but as he grew up, he lost all of Tang Wenwen's features.

When Xiao Zhengxin was little, he looked more like his fourth sister-in-law, but now he looks more like his father. That's why Qi Si likes him so much. Whenever he has time, he holds him in his arms, kissing and nibbling at him, no matter how many times his fourth sister-in-law tells him not to.

"Stop kissing! Too much kissing will make you drool!"

"Don't be afraid, even if my darling is drooling, Daddy isn't afraid!" Qi Si said stubbornly, but he still obeyed. He lowered his head, lifted up Xiao Zhengxin's chubby little foot, and took a big bite.

Little Zhengxin giggled, her laughter both sweet and adorable, and everyone in the room laughed.

"The weather is getting colder, so I asked Aunt Chen to heat up this kang (heated brick bed). If you feel cold in that room, bring the child over to sleep. I don't mind the noise, but it's important that the child doesn't get cold," Auntie repeatedly instructed.

After lunch, Qin Xiaoyu and his group went to look at apartments in a restaurant, leaving Xiao Si's wife and the children at home.

The house is not far from the No. 1 Department Store. It is a corner storefront. It used to have a large door facing northwest, but now it is blocked off.

“This place was on fire before, I remember it.” Jiang Fusheng led them to the side door and pushed it open to go inside.

The fire caused minor damage; the walls were completely blackened and looked broken and dirty.

“This place is incredibly valuable, but because of this fire, the owner is disheartened and now he even wants to sell the house. Fourth Brother, take a look. If you're interested, I'll talk to the owner again and buy it.”

"Buy it!" Qin Xiaoyu made the decision without even asking the price.

If a high-rise building were to be built in this location, the price would be astronomical. Wouldn't it be foolish not to take advantage of this opportunity?

The group drove to the boss's house, signed the contract directly, and then drove around the neighborhood to check out the surroundings.

They returned to the Jiang family compound together that evening.

The courtyard was filled with a wonderful fragrance as soon as you entered; it seemed that Aunt Chen had been busy all afternoon. Laughter echoed from the main room as Aunt and Fourth Sister-in-law played with the children.

"Fusheng, get married soon, I want to hold my grandson!" Auntie probably hadn't laughed this much in a year; her face was sore from laughing so much.

“I’ll marry her, but someone else has to marry her too.” Jiang Fusheng glanced at Tang Wenwen.

Tang Wenwen pretended not to know and chatted happily with Qin Xiaoyu. The aunt couldn't help but sigh.

After the children had all gone to sleep that night, Qin Xiaoyu finally had time to look at the boxes on the floor. Tang Wenwen had been curious for a while, so she helped her lift one over. When she opened it, Qin Xiaoyu almost screamed.

No wonder everyone says it's heavy; this whole box is full of books, mostly foreign publications, all printed with copperplate and in color. It's no wonder it's heavy.

The two of them put in all their effort to look through all five boxes. Three boxes contained books, and two boxes contained snacks, all of which were imported products.

"Sister-in-law, I think this guy is determined to pursue you. Be careful."

"I'm helpless too. To be honest, he's all-powerful and knows everything I do. I suspect he's been following me." Qin Xiaoyu said, glancing out the window furtively.

"Sister-in-law, you've gone too far. Don't be so paranoid, it's not that serious." Tang Wenwen moved the box aside to make way and walked to the bedside.

Fourth Sister-in-law and the nanny are living here with Xiao Zichen. Originally, Fourth Sister-in-law wanted to bring him along, but Qin Xiaoyu stopped her.

Now that her child is older, her breast milk is insufficient, and she has to supplement with formula at night. Just for one night, let little Zichen have a little formula and stay with his mother, even if it's just for one night.

The houses here all have central heating, which Chen Ma and her husband take turns running. The heating isn't very strong at night, so they use electric blankets on the beds, but those aren't suitable for children. Tang Wenwen filled several hot water bottles and moved them around to warm the bed, then moved Xiao Zichen over every now and then to keep him warm.

"This child is becoming more and more like Jing Tian," Qin Xiaoyu said dejectedly.

“I like whoever he looks like.” Tang Wenwen leaned down and gently kissed Xiao Zichen’s cheek.

"Wenwen, I have something important to tell you. I need you to go to Shanghai. Are you willing to let me go?"

"Going to Shanghai? To open a counter?" Tang Wenwen's eyes lit up.
