Chapter 341

Ji Wanmei and Zhou Min walked out of the school together.

Ji Wanmei is going to meet up with Aqiang and Zhu Shuangyan. Zhou Min has already packed her bags today and is preparing to take the long-distance train back to her hometown.

Since it was still early, Zhou Min and Ji Wanmei went to the music store to say hello to her friends.

When we arrived at the store, we saw that Ah Qiang and the others were already there.

"Qiang, Shuangyan! How long have you been here?" Ji Wanmei walked over happily and greeted the two of them, "Sorry, something came up at school and I was a little delayed. I hope you didn't keep me waiting long?"

Zhu Shuangyan was originally sitting at the door when the shop assistant brought out two chairs for her and Aqiang to sit on. As soon as she saw Ji Wanmei coming from the street, Zhu Shuangyan stood up and went to greet her.

"Wanmei, you've become even more beautiful in the months since I last saw you!" Zhu Shuangyan smiled at Ji Wanmei. "We just arrived and have been looking around for a while. Your shop is really nice."

Ah Qiang stepped forward, grinning and nodding at Ji Wanmei: "Sister-in-law."

Ji Wanmei readily agreed, glanced at A-Qiang, and smiled, "I must say, A-Qiang seems to have gotten even stronger, and looks even more protective of people. Shuangyan, you have good taste."

Zhu Shuangyan smiled shyly beside her, saying, "He only made progress by learning and training under Brother Lei."

When Ji Wanmei heard them mention Lei Tingjun, her expression remained unchanged, and she still smiled and said, "That's because A-Qiang himself has the ambition and ability, otherwise Brother Lei wouldn't dare to entrust so many important businesses to him."

Seeing Ji Wanmei's composed demeanor, and compared to Lei Ge's complete silence and unusual quietness after returning from East China, it was as if nothing had happened.

Zhu Shuangyan had tentatively mentioned "Brother Lei" earlier, but her expression didn't seem to change at all.

But compared to them, A-Qiang and the others couldn't mention the name 'Ji Wanmei' in front of Lei Tingjun at all. It was as if these three words had become some kind of taboo or minefield for him. Whenever they mentioned it, Lei Tingjun's face would darken, and he would remain silent.

That appearance would frighten anyone who saw it.

A-Qiang wanted to say a few more words, but Ji Wanmei didn't give him the chance. Instead, she pointed to Zhou Min standing to the side and introduced her, "Let me introduce you. This is my roommate and also my good friend. Her name is Zhou Min."

Zhou Min then stepped forward and politely extended her hand: "Hello, Ji Wanmei and I are roommates. It's nice to meet you."

A-Qiang and Zhu Shuangyan quickly stepped forward to shake hands.

Seeing Zhou Min carrying a backpack and a duffel bag, Zhu Shuangyan asked, "Zhou Min, where are you going?"

Zhou Min said, "School's out for summer vacation, and I booked a train ticket for this afternoon to go back to my hometown. I knew Wanmei had two friends coming over today, so I came to say hello. I'm in a hurry to catch the train, so I can't spend more time with you. Have fun in East China, I have to go now."

Zhu Shuangyan was very considerate. Seeing that Zhou Min had a lot of luggage, she said to Aqiang, "Aqiang, Wanmei and I will stay at the shop. You can drive Zhou Min to the train station."

They came from Pingdong today. Aqiang happened to be driving, and they planned to spend two days in East China before the three of them drove back to Pingquan County together.

Ah Qiang had no problem with it and nodded, saying, "Sure, your sister-in-law's friend is our friend. Zhou Min, come on, I'll take you to the train station!"

Ji Wanmei looked at Zhou Min, waiting to see what she thought.

Zhou Min quickly waved her hand: "No, no, really no need to trouble you. I just came to say hello. I'll take the bus, it's very convenient, it goes directly to the train station entrance. I've already planned my time. If you take me there, I won't know what to do if I arrive too early."

"You guys have fun, I'll be going now." Zhou Min was afraid of troubling them, and also afraid that they would feel awkward refusing out of politeness, so she quickly picked up her luggage and turned to leave. "Wanmei, I'm leaving now, see you next semester!"

Ji Wanmei raised her voice and said, "Okay, then be careful on your way."

After seeing Zhou Min off, Ji Wanmei led A-Qiang and Zhu Shuangyan into the shop to rest.

"Come in and sit for a while, Shuangyan. Is there any song or movie you'd like to listen to or watch? I'll play it for you."

Zhu Shuangyan didn't know much about these things. Back in school, when other classmates were dating, they would occasionally go to the movies or go on a date.

But A-Qiang is a rough and uncultured guy who is busy at the construction site during the week, and she also has to work part-time on weekends to earn money, so she has no chance to watch any movies.

Ji Wanmei's question stumped her, so she could only say, "I don't really know, you decide."

Ji Wanmei picked out a classic movie from the shelf that was popular with college students and said, "Let's watch this movie. It's starring a Hong Kong actor, called 'A Better Tomorrow.' This movie is very popular in our store. Every day there's a line of people waiting to rent the DVD."

When Ji Wanmei and Lei Tingjun went to Guangzhou, they originally only bought two pieces of equipment from Zhao Si, intending to use one for display and the other as a sample machine for ordering and selling.

In the month or so since the business opened, Ji Wanmei has sold a complete set of equipment and several DVD players.

The complete set of equipment is expensive, and most students can't afford it. They rent discs, watch them at places with DVD players, return the discs, and then rent a new one.

In order to keep the business and popularity of the audio-visual store going, Ji Wanmei came up with another idea after hiring part-time employees.
