Zong Jiayu went to check on the renovation progress of his and Jiang Xiaoli's house.

He found an empty room without any workers, took out his mobile phone, and made a call.

Jiang Xiaoli answered quickly, "Hello! What brings you to call today?"

Zong Jia chuckled, "I just received your letter, Little Pear, congratulations."

"Hehe, I performed as expected," she said while munching on an apple.

"That's impressive." Zong Jiayu calculated the days, "Our house will be finished in another month."

"So fast?" It feels like the renovation is going much faster than the renovation of my own home.

"Yes, I've asked the renovation company to arrange more workers to take turns working. The dormitory is inconvenient, so I want to move out as soon as possible." He recently found a new project and plans to put it into practice.

After inspecting the examination venue, Teacher Liu respected their opinions and did not force them to stay at the hotel arranged by the organizers.

He only emphasized, "The exam starts at nine o'clock tomorrow morning, so get there early!"

The two were only allowed to go home after repeatedly promising that they would not be late.

The next morning, Jiang Xiaoli ate a perfect breakfast and arrived at the examination site in a car driven by Li Guizhi.

Today, there are more than one hundred candidates from all over the country participating in the finals.

After greeting Teacher Liu, Jiang Xiaoli followed the crowd into the examination room.

Today's exam will last all day: three hours of written exam in the morning and three hours of experimental exam in the afternoon.

The questions were much more difficult than those in the preliminary and semi-final rounds. She carefully checked the entire paper twice before raising her hand to hand it in.

Her action startled the other test-takers, who began asking the proctor how much time was left in the exam.

Mr. Liu was chatting with a friend who teaches physics at a high school in Shanghai when he saw Jiang Xiaoli come out early, so he quickly walked over to her.

"How difficult were the questions? Have you checked them carefully?"

Jiang Xiaoli nodded, making a "2" gesture with her fingers, "I think there's no problem. I checked it twice."

After a while, Xu Xing came out with two other boys and saw Jiang Xiaoli squatting in front of Teacher Liu eating snacks.

He walked over and asked, "How long have you been out?"

Jiang Xiaoli thought for a moment, "I forgot, it was probably the time it took to eat two pieces of bread, an apple, and two bananas."

Xu Xing sighed, "We'll be able to eat soon."

She nodded. "I know!"

"Then why are you eating so much?"

Jiang Xiaoli smiled and drew several sections on her stomach. "I'll use my stomach for main meals for lunch later. I used my stomach for snacks and fruit just now."

Xu Xing was speechless. "You don't have a stomach specifically for drinking water, do you?"

"Xu Xiaohang is so clever!" Thumbs up for him!

Teacher Liu came over and called Xu Xing to sit down and chat, "How did the exam go?"

Xu Xing honestly replied, "I personally feel there's no problem; I checked it three times."

At noon, Teacher Liu took the two of them to a restaurant arranged by the organizers for lunch. She also provided them with a place to rest so they could be well-rested for the afternoon's experimental exam.

After the experimental exam ended, Teacher Liu didn't ask them about the results; she just smiled and patted the two children on the shoulder.

"It's finally over. You can all get some rest now."

Jiang Xiaoli said with a smile, "Teacher Liu, you forgot that we still have a math competition!"

Teacher Liu gave them both an encouraging look, "Teacher Chen and I have high hopes for you two, keep it up!"

The papers will be graded on October 11th.

The competition results will be announced on October 12th.

Jiang Xiaoli and Xu Xing sat next to Teacher Liu. The host had already announced the list of students who won the third and second prizes, and neither of them were on it.

Teacher Liu couldn't contain her excitement, "You two are definitely going to win first prize! Now let's see if you have a chance to make it into the national training team!"

The rankings were announced one by one until the very end.

"Third place, Hu Gang from Shencheng Experimental High School."

Second place: Xu Xing, Xijing No. 20 Middle School.

First place: Jiang Xiaoli, Xijing No. 20 Middle School.

The first and second place winners were both from Xijing No. 20 Middle School, instantly drawing everyone's attention to Jiang Xiaoli, Xu Xing, and Teacher Liu.

Teacher Liu was so happy he almost fainted. He pinched his thigh, smiled, and gestured for the two students to go up on stage to receive their awards.

Jiang Xiaoli received her first-place award in the National High School Physics Competition on the podium.

The flashbulbs in front of her kept going off, and she felt absolutely fantastic! She was already looking forward to the National High School Mathematics Competition.

After the awards ceremony, the host announced that the top 50 students who won first prize in this year's National High School Physics Competition will be qualified to enter the national training team next March.
