Su Yao gripped the crystal tightly, a resolute glint in her eyes. "Let's get out of here first. This roar is no ordinary sound; it must be from an extremely powerful beast." She quickly put the crystal away, and the others, not daring to slacken their efforts, immediately rushed down from the platform.

As soon as they stepped off the platform, they found the area around the ruins in complete chaos. The factions that had been fighting amongst themselves were now terrified by the roar. Su Yao and her companions weaved through the crowd, only to find their path blocked by the panicked throng.

"This way!" Su Yao used her spatial abilities to create a temporary passage, and the others followed closely behind. However, the roar grew closer, and the ground began to tremble violently. A gigantic fire beast appeared in their sight, leaving a burning footprint on the ground with each step it took.

"This is a Flame Glutton, extremely ferocious, feeding on energy and living beings," Su Yao's father said solemnly.

"We can't confront it head-on. Let's find a place to hide and use the system to analyze its weaknesses," Su Yao calmly commanded. They ran towards a ruin within the ancient site, hoping to use the ruins as cover to temporarily avoid its attack.

The Flame Glutton seemed to sense the aura of the secret treasure in Su Yao and the others' hands, and chased straight towards them. It opened its blood-red maw and spewed out a huge pillar of fire, scorching the earth in its wake.

Su Yao and the others hid behind the ruins. Su Yao activated the system and quickly scanned the Flame Glutton. "Its abdomen has an energy core, which is relatively weak, but attacking it is extremely difficult," Su Yao said, looking at the data analyzed by the system.

"I can use my ice-based abilities to restrain it first, creating an opportunity for you to get close to its abdomen," Ling Yu volunteered.

“I’ll be with you. I’ll use my spatial abilities to help you change the trajectory of the flames,” Su Yao nodded.

The two rushed out from behind the ruins. Ling Yu brandished his ice sword, unleashing his full ice-based power. Ice blades flew towards the Flame Glutton, instantly condensing into a layer of frost on its body. The Flame Glutton roared angrily, spewing out pillars of fire once more. Su Yao moved her hands, distorting space and redirecting the pillars of fire to an open area to the side.

Su Yao's parents weren't idle either. They set up some simple traps in the ruins, using energy fluctuations to lure the Flame Gluttons closer. The Flame Gluttons were bewildered by the energy fluctuations triggered by the traps and walked towards the ruins.

Just as it stepped into the trap's range, Su Yao's father activated the mechanism, and an energy chain shot out, attempting to bind the Flame Glutton's legs. The Flame Glutton struggled, breaking the energy chain, but it still slightly hindered its movement.

Seizing the opportunity, Ling Yu concentrated his ice-based power on his feet and used the ice surface to quickly rush towards the belly of the Flame Glutton. The Flame Glutton noticed Ling Yu's intention and swung its massive claws towards him. Seeing this, Su Yao activated her spatial power to its maximum, creating a spatial vortex in front of the Flame Glutton's claws, drawing the attack into it.

Ling Yu successfully approached the Flame Glutton's abdomen and plunged his ice sword deep into it. The Flame Glutton, in pain, thrashed wildly, throwing Ling Yu away. Su Yao caught him in time with her spatial abilities and brought him back to the ruins.

"This won't do; its power is too great," Su Yao said, frowning.

At this moment, Su Yao remembered the crystal in the treasure chest. She took out the crystal, and the system prompted that she could briefly borrow the crystal's energy to launch a powerful attack. Su Yao took a deep breath and channeled the crystal's energy into her spatial ability.

She thrust her hands forward, sending a powerful spatial wave of energy hurtling towards the Flame Glutton. Sensing this immense power, the Flame Glutton tried to dodge, but the spatial wave instantly enveloped it. In a blinding flash and a deafening explosion, the Flame Glutton was forced back several steps, its abdominal wound widening further.

"Now's the chance!" Su Yao shouted, charging towards the Flame Glutton once more. The others followed suit, using their various abilities and weapons to launch a final attack on the Flame Glutton. With everyone's combined efforts, the Flame Glutton finally crashed down, raising a cloud of dust.

Su Yao and the others were panting heavily, exhausted, but they knew the danger was far from over. Greedy eyes still lurked in the shadows, and the crisis of the high-temperature apocalypse continued to spread. They had to return to the safe house with the treasure as soon as possible to upgrade the climate control device and have a chance of survival in this cruel world.
